I can think of at least two more: a meteor strike, a shift in the earth orbit or axis relative to the sun. Those two would give humanity time to flee the earth. There are also gamma ray bursts only you wouldn't be able to see that coming, by the time it did you would already be ashes

Did you even watch the direct? There are at least two types of robot enemies, vascos and robodogs, then there are alien creatures some looking like overgrown deer sure but others looking like fricking tyranids, then you got turrets and crap but its still more then "gun toting humans"

At best you will have a scripted event for when a bounty hunter appears which will never play again for the rest of the gameplay. I have a feeling the main questline will be us, humanity, trying to find them and initiate First Contact.

Currently watching the direct for a 2nd time, there will be some kind of status effects. I noticed some ailments system there.
In general, voiced protag is gone, thank god. And we rank up skills by completing tasks related to that skill, for example you level up, have a skill point, unloack a skill, and then can max out that skill by using it ingame, like hacking a door 5 times.

The Targeting Control Systems skill is very much V.A.T.S in space. Didnt realize it before, but its pretty smart to include it that way, should be fun gameplay wise.

I think its just the general style. I personally love it, but what they showed in the ship building mode is that there are different manufacturing companiies allowing a different look inside your ship.
I just saw they're using a pronoun selector so that is an immediate pass for me, but let's be honest. This is Bethesda we're talking about here. All their games are janky as frick and they are regarded well above their actual technical skill.

I'm a bit of bethesdrone but I really didn't like fallout 4. I did get 40 hours of it, but I don't remember anything besides being massively disappointed with voiced protag, limited dialogue and absolute trash faction choices/alliances.
