My great grandpa had a story about how when he joined the army, he enlisted around the same time as some hick from a mountain town so small that it wasn't even printed on the map. When the hick showed up, he started talking to a group of black guys and to make a long story short, no one had ever told him he's supposed to be racist because no one in his town had ever seen a non-white in real life. It all got cleared up pretty fast.
This story kind of reminds me of a video I saw like 6 years ago. It was a classroom in like China or some Asian country and they had a black speaker come into the class and like half the kids were scared and bewildered because they never saw a black person before

Not really, the relationship system is so shallow that no one bothers to argue much. You'll hear more drama over the people who mod the game to marry e-girls.

How do you build relations with the Npc’s, do i have to look up the wiki for a bunch of stuff like in terraria?
You have to talk to them every day and give them gifts.
It's completely unnecessary and doesn't add anything important.
You build relationship points with characters by talking to them, giving them gifts (two per week, gifts are tiered from loved down to hated), doing job board tasks for them and completing quests for them.
You can unlock recipes and items by building up relationships with basically any character, so it can be worthwhile even if you're not interested in waifu shit. Characters can send you free stuff in the mail too when you're friendly with them.

You can marry single men/women (gay marriages included), all of them got their own pros and cons. Marrying them is obligatory since you need to get a Starfruit from them by having a very high relationship with your wife/husband.

This is not true. The only one that is confirmed to have had a boyfriend is Leah, the rest is fanfiction or up to interpretation.
Marriage is a fairly minor part of the gameplay but yes, there are waifu wars. Generally, in the base game, Ganker likes Penny, Haley and Abigail and there usually isn't much fighting about that anymore. Leah is mostly ignored because she had a boyfriend while Emily is controversial. Some people like Emily because they hate the blacksmith, Clint, who has a crush on her, others hate her for being a crystal woo girl. Pretty much everyone dislikes Maru, partially because she's black but mostly because her dad is terrible and has the worst relationship with the player. And this is ignoring the various mods with the real war on Ganker SDV threads being between Jasposters and anti-Jasposters.

I assume that Maru's hair color is natural. Same with all the other unusual hair colors in the game, excluding Abigail since she mentions dying her hair. Outside of Emily, none of the people with unusual hair colors fit the SJW template. And Emily's more of a crystal woo girl than activist b***h. I wish the real world was like this, I find unnatural hair colors attractive but it's about the biggest red flag a woman can give you.
It's her hair and glasses that ellicit this response. She can have one or the other, but both and she triggers a fight or flight response.

Pretty much yes. If you befriend him and don't see Emily's eight heart event, he will ask her out and actually go on a date with her. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from marrying or dating her after that, which is a dick move.
That's stupid.
I think the townspeople would be a lot more endearing if they had their own growing relationships with each other over time instead of keeping all the options open for the player.
Keep in mind Emily wasn't dateable when the game was released, she was a late addition in an update. Blame the community for this because they chose her over better options, like Sandy and Robin. I think it was the biggest mistake ConcernedApe made because it totally destroyed Clint as a character.
Maru just looks unnaturally tinted red/pink. Her clothes too. Her portrait just looks off by default.
Maru's design is probably the worst in the game. Not only does she look off, she's got a terrible dumpy body. She got the absolute worst of it from the 1.5 update with the swimsuits.
