My locals, which is small as frick, sold through 10 cases of it in half a day.

It has too many dump URs and they shortprinted Thrust's reprint to ridiculous levels.
Meanwhile RC was literally so loved that they still are instantly selling out of it whenever even the tiniest shipment comes out, and it fricking outdid MAMA.

nah, and neither was MP22. They printed all the cards that needed reprints to drop their price in the higher rarity and left absolutely nothing for Ultra and Super slots. It was fricking barren except for the Prismatic Secret slot. I can only forgive them about the Bystials because those were Supers originally and deserved the bump. I'll concede it was still a good set if you look strictly at what they reprinted though, just not a lot of staples even though Ultimate Slayer and Kurikara were due for the reprint also and they didn't get it. Compare these last two tins to 2021 and 2020 tins and peak tin kino of 2019 and there's just no comparison. I might forgive Konami if they reprint Ultimate Slayer and Kurikara in RA02 though. Ultimate Slayer is one of my favorite cards and I honestly might go spend for a QCR and a playset of PCRs if they include it.
I personally liked it. I was waiting for the Lab ones and I got them, and my extra shiny Stardust Dragon is rather nice.
It can't even hold a candle to RC but I did enjoy the tins. Dunno what was wrong with 22's, it had enough stipples. I got Nib, Diviner, Dragoon, etc.
RC2 is already probably the best set of 2024 by sheer virtue of shiny factor on alt IP and ogre.
If you wanted the archetypes, it was definitely good. But like I said, both tins had the problem of being loaded up on the Prismatic Secrets for all the good cards. I remember for MP22 the only good card that wasn't a prismatic was fricking tax dragon in Super and Branded in Red in Rare. There were some other staples in there but most were either already cheap or also got double dipped immediately in MAMA which was a better set, too. But did I love the Diviner reprint in the megatins? Oh yes I fricking did even though they kept her in Secret. Tins were always more exciting when you got good shit in the lower rarities though, now they feel like core sets where you only pull a single good card per pack regardless of how good the set list is.

Brick in the context of your hand means your hand is literally unplayable. Imagine going first and drawing nothing but high level monsters and S/T removal. "A brick" is a card that is useless alone but still required to play an engine or another card, sometimes this is called a "soft brick" (the ones that are literally useless are called Garnets because of Gem Knight Garnet). Lots of people like to use the term "brick" liberally when their hand is just bad but playable and they lose to a single interruption. That isn't bricking though, that's just having a shit hand.
As a noun it just means drawing something you can't make use of at the moment, or at all because it needed to be in the deck to complete it's function. As a verb it means to draw an unplayable hand.
Pokemon's are super hit or miss, on one hand you get amazing ones like that one origin Giratina one, on the other you get the bazillion awful looking generic 3DCG ones.
Digimon literally has half their cards as fullart because they do it for anything above a certain level regardless of rarity (i.e. nonfoil can have it too).

here's a terrible one: void monsters that can be played in a zone to pull a card of that kind from the deck x turns later. basic effects, no real negates, high defense, you can play as many per turn but they occupy the space until their timer is up. if they're removed from the field, the timer stops, so attacking it or using a backrow buster will easily drop them, so you'd play them with your own handtraps/negates. only place you can't put them is the EM zone
They're pink/red. You can summon them from the extra for no cost whatsoever, but they lock you in one way or another. They're supposed to be archetype/type/attribute specific starters. Also you can use any s/t zone for pends (but still max 2). When xyz materials that are pends go the graveyard, they go to the ed face-up. U had other ideas but I can't recall them rn.

You play them in your S/T zone from your ED at the start of the game. Going first you can play 1, going second you can play 2. 1 per turn every turn after that during the draw phase as part of your draw action.
Each card can be placed face-down or face-up. Face-down they act like traps and can be flipped face-up and summoned when a condition is met. The strong ones need their conditions to be met multiple times. They don't have levels.
The protagonist archetypes gimmick would be inspired by shitty legacy S/T cards. For instance, the protagonist's ace monster would trigger once five cards had been "unearthed" from the decks that turn (either left the deck or were revealed) and would "Ancient Telescope" on summon, letting you swap a monster on the field with a monster from the top 5 cards of either player's deck. In the show he'd actually play Ancient Telescope.

It's a fine deck. People really have no idea how to play it and make deckbuilding decisions based on superstition and cope. You need to pair it with a strong normal summon, not like Ecclesia or whatever people have been using. There aren't many strong normal summons that don't use your ED and don't require a ton of garnets, though. I like Quem and Incredible Ecclesia.

A brick is a bad hand that doesn't let you do any good plays
Brick in the context of your hand means your hand is literally unplayable. Imagine going first and drawing nothing but high level monsters and S/T removal. "A brick" is a card that is useless alone but still required to play an engine or another card, sometimes this is called a "soft brick" (the ones that are literally useless are called Garnets because of Gem Knight Garnet). Lots of people like to use the term "brick" liberally when their hand is just bad but playable and they lose to a single interruption. That isn't bricking though, that's just having a shit hand.
As a noun it just means drawing something you can't make use of at the moment, or at all because it needed to be in the deck to complete it's function. As a verb it means to draw an unplayable hand.

You play them in your S/T zone from your ED at the start of the game. Going first you can play 1, going second you can play 2. 1 per turn every turn after that during the draw phase as part of your draw action.
Each card can be placed face-down or face-up. Face-down they act like traps and can be flipped face-up and summoned when a condition is met. The strong ones need their conditions to be met multiple times. They don't have levels.
The protagonist archetypes gimmick would be inspired by shitty legacy S/T cards. For instance, the protagonist's ace monster would trigger once five cards had been "unearthed" from the decks that turn (either left the deck or were revealed) and would "Ancient Telescope" on summon, letting you swap a monster on the field with a monster from the top 5 cards of either player's deck. In the show he'd actually play Ancient Telescope.

You need to pair it with a strong normal summon, not like Ecclesia or whatever people have been using. There aren't many strong normal summons that don't use your ED and don't require a ton of garnets, though. I like Quem and Incredible Ecclesia.

Any deck can be made viable with enough good support although Realized not being a Beast was a pretty bad start as far as support goes.
Generally the deck is also missing Behemoth L10 and all the weird random L10 support like Tokusano Shinkyojin and Finis Terrae the Tower of the Necroworld.
