rush duel is a way to play yugioh on easy mode, you have only 3 monster fields and 3 spell trap zones, no limits on how many normal summons and tribute summons you can do on your turn and when you draw you fill your hand up to 5 cards, so if you used all your cards previous turn you start with a complete new hand next turn.
there is a meta like spellcasters, dragons or psychics, but still the game have outs against every bosses instead of perfect boards like tier0 in master duel

Pretty much. Control decks like spirit reaper or goat control were only meta back then because people didn't lab out all the various ways you could just overwhelm them. Like those decks were all about outvaluing you until you didn't have any resources to keep up and then they'd drop BLS or something to actually win, but with the benefit of hindsight you end up realizing that stuff like Raigeki Break discard sinister serpant just can't keep up with two Gyaku Gire Pandas and an Injection Fairy Lilly beating your ass to death backed up by United We Stand and Trunade. There's just too much disrespect built into Yugioh almost by design, and the slower pace of control decks means they don't exert pressure in the same way that other decks can. Like Cyberstein is at 3 in a ton of older formats and even just summoning Dragon Master Knight and giving it Big Bang Shot as a backup for your Ben Kei OTK strategy can be enough sometimes.

Those are still effects thoughever, because they're being routed through Lair of Darkness. If a card is immune to spell effects, it can't be tributed using this method.

It doesn't really matter no, unless you're dealing with true towers. It'll handle most things just fine. But when someone asks if something can do something "for cost" they generally want something that can't be stopped no matter what, since something being done "for cost" will ALWAYS happen no matter what either player does. In this case, it won't always happen, because it's a cost enabled by an effect.
No, they count as tributing as cost, but you still need to be able to effect them with Lair to have the privilege of tributing them. For example, if you use Lair to tribute something that triggers when sent to the GY by a card effect then it won't trigger.
Both Tears and Rikka fricking do this. But Icejade Gigagaygon has a non-target quick banish also. I’d rather face a Purrley with 40 material than go second and my opponent has a quick tribute/banish board and you just can’t play anything or set up because it all just gets sent away.

In hindsight this should have been the move, but maybe its fine in Duel Links since it already follows the Speed Duels, and maybe they want to capitalize in younger demographics since they tend to play on Mobile more and I feel Duel Links is more Mobile friendly than Master Duel.
Rush Duels coming to Duel Links rather than Master Duel strikes me as a decision rooted in wanting promotion for the Rush Duel anime Yugioh Sevens, as well as the mode being easier to add since both Duel Links and Rush Duel use speed duel rules and have the same board size. It's a shame because for westerners, this is the only way you can play Rush Duels officially, and the game does look interesting, but no fricking way am I playing a game with Duel Links' monetization.

I think master duel might be very open to new players. It's very generous with its gems and have many differing playstyles at different budgets. A new player can install the game right now and outside of the most UR heavy decks (which according to MDM is slop piles or spright with a quadrillion handtraps), they can build just about full powered meta decks.
The main issue I think, lies with learning interactions. When they lose to labrynth, a new player doesn't go >ah frick, I should have kept my ash for big welcome. I should play better next time

you have to understand, there are many other people like him who have no idea how to fight the myriad of decks on ladder. You and me have seen normal summon level 2 before, so we know to keep the interaction for gigantic spright, but new players read every single card that pops out, and still lose because they don't know the chokes.
This applies to literally every other TCG or online card game though, not just exclusive to yugioh. It's up to the new player to get over getting their ass whooped and learn from it. Some people handle it well and learn, while others just quit and/or cope

Getting 3 Necrofaces is the hard part, but banishing almost your opponent's entire deck is probably good enough, like if you Riseheart banish 3, and then trigger 3 Necrofaces which are then attached to Ariseheart who banishes them again, that's 33 cards ripped out of your opponent's Deck even before getting into dumber shit to reach the "functionally winning the game" threshhold for banish mill

Yeah, playing a back and forth game is the most honest this game has been in a long time. I’m glad most of the new meta relevant decks after Tear have continued this trend, but it is sad they’re going so hard after tear. Few or no omnis, the flexibility to out floodgates using engine, and the consistency and power to play going first or second instead of be “draw the out” turbo. Although it does make sense, since it would be hard to make another interactive deck on Tear’s power level while still having a unique playstyle that made tearlament so loved.
Floowandereeze is the most honest deck in the history of yugioh, the only problematic card in that deck is stormwind and it is banned. Konami doesn't want you playing cheap anti-meta deck that is why they are killing floowandereeze every banlist you dickhead.

Pretty much. Control decks like spirit reaper or goat control were only meta back then because people didn't lab out all the various ways you could just overwhelm them. Like those decks were all about outvaluing you until you didn't have any resources to keep up and then they'd drop BLS or something to actually win, but with the benefit of hindsight you end up realizing that stuff like Raigeki Break discard sinister serpant just can't keep up with two Gyaku Gire Pandas and an Injection Fairy Lilly beating your ass to death backed up by United We Stand and Trunade. There's just too much disrespect built into Yugioh almost by design, and the slower pace of control decks means they don't exert pressure in the same way that other decks can. Like Cyberstein is at 3 in a ton of older formats and even just summoning Dragon Master Knight and giving it Big Bang Shot as a backup for your Ben Kei OTK strategy can be enough sometimes.

It doesn't really matter no, unless you're dealing with true towers. It'll handle most things just fine. But when someone asks if something can do something "for cost" they generally want something that can't be stopped no matter what, since something being done "for cost" will ALWAYS happen no matter what either player does. In this case, it won't always happen, because it's a cost enabled by an effect.
You can use certain Lair of Darkness cards to recycle Kaijus if needed:
No, they count as tributing as cost, but you still need to be able to effect them with Lair to have the privilege of tributing them. For example, if you use Lair to tribute something that triggers when sent to the GY by a card effect then it won't trigger.
Both Tears and Rikka fricking do this. But Icejade Gigagaygon has a non-target quick banish also. I’d rather face a Purrley with 40 material than go second and my opponent has a quick tribute/banish board and you just can’t play anything or set up because it all just gets sent away.

Rush Duels coming to Duel Links rather than Master Duel strikes me as a decision rooted in wanting promotion for the Rush Duel anime Yugioh Sevens, as well as the mode being easier to add since both Duel Links and Rush Duel use speed duel rules and have the same board size. It's a shame because for westerners, this is the only way you can play Rush Duels officially, and the game does look interesting, but no fricking way am I playing a game with Duel Links' monetization.

I think master duel might be very open to new players. It's very generous with its gems and have many differing playstyles at different budgets. A new player can install the game right now and outside of the most UR heavy decks (which according to MDM is slop piles or spright with a quadrillion handtraps), they can build just about full powered meta decks.
The main issue I think, lies with learning interactions. When they lose to labrynth, a new player doesn't go

Yeah, playing a back and forth game is the most honest this game has been in a long time. I’m glad most of the new meta relevant decks after Tear have continued this trend, but it is sad they’re going so hard after tear. Few or no omnis, the flexibility to out floodgates using engine, and the consistency and power to play going first or second instead of be “draw the out” turbo. Although it does make sense, since it would be hard to make another interactive deck on Tear’s power level while still having a unique playstyle that made tearlament so loved.
