I played non-floodgate Lab when it first released in MD and loved the hell out of it, I'm already used to be hated for liking an archetype that keeps getting support.
It annoys me that using Compulse on your own monsters used to be something really cool that you could do to cause all your trigger effects or dodge targets or whatever, and now it's just something the deck always does by default because of Big Welcome.

It's a cool combo I picked up when I was copying someone adventure control list. Albion which I can slop out from muddy mud can summon granguignol which is another lvl 8 body, this body becomes barrone with the ringo I summon back with dis pater.
I report any person who on my turn 1 has a prompt that lasts 3 minutes and then they just MAGICALLY have all the perfect counters to my hand and their full COOOOOOOOOMBO starter.
There have been hacks and cheats since day 1 anon. So yes it still happens. Anyone who comes out to scream otherwise is a cheater or sucks cheater dick.
There were some cheaters that Konami removed from the leaderboards after the first Duelist Cup, but nobody's ever posted any evidence of cheating in the last year and a half other than "My opponent drew good cards!" or "My opponent didn't shotgun Maxx C when I had Gamma!".

I definitely remember chinks using stuff like Pot of Greed in ranked close to game release but we don't really have any info on whether Konami has taken measures against cheating or how prevalent it is and we obviously can't know from the player side of things if someone opened insane or just cheated their hand so it's hard to make a general statement about the situation.
The people who win duelist cups stream their runs so we know they're not cheating, and I'd expect that if someone wanted to cheat their way to the top they could beat them if they actually had a way to do that. Also you'd think that someone would eventually post proof that cheats exist by using them themselves.

not putting up 20 negates doesn't mean that deck is not good. It has a ton of space for going second cards, can run Shifter, can play reasonably well through Maxx C, Droll and other bullshit and has some of the best cards for simplified game state.

I only need three more main deck cards (two more fossil dig and one more Oviraptor) and the ED cards (The two Evolzars and the scrap Wyvern) and I'm finished. Near Max rank Mathmech players are some of strangest players.
Despite me ashing his superfactorial search, he still shotguns his Cynet Conflict on Emergence, Terahertz dumps aggregator on Ashuna.
After he was forced to use imperm on Baxia, afterwards I was finally able spin away Terahertz through Taia and I can safely use Triple Tactics Talents without the GY spell negates.
Needless to say, he didnt survive the turn.
Do most players think that you should interrupt your opponent as early as possible?
Conflict on Emergence is defensible since you can theoretically follow up with something like Ecclesia or Taia, and adding extension like Long Yuan could let you push through his board if you also had a Vishuda, but honestly so many people in this game just shotgun their negates. I think the idea is that if you play a combo-heavy deck and get to go full combo, you're supposed to be unbeatable. But that's what going-second cards like TTT are for.

Yesterday, somebody posted a list of like 30 cards to deal with lab, and I'm thinking about running all of them just so I can completely stop lab from doing anything.
I use her on my blind second Mikanko deck, it's kind of like a better Nadir Servant for board breaking purposes and I've won many games thanks to her but obviously not really practical for a normal deck.
Konami has already experimented with this idea twice, the 1st and 2nd turn tryouts.
bo1 keeps combo decks fair by discouraging running bullshit 1st turn cards like solemns or floodgates. if you guarantee they go first they will always run that bullshit

It's power isn't that much higher than the other decks and the community tournaments as a measure of deck power is a bad metric. These tournaments often have low entries, the entrants themselves aren't necessarily skilled players, and they play BO3 with side decks. A BO3 format resembles actual Master Duel ladder games about as much as a Ford F150 resembles a housecat.
This cannot be overstated. Skill of average TCGkek is around Gold 3~Plat 5, they are totally not representative of high Master gameplay.
The only requirement for entering these tournaments is being discord troony, which is not likely to correlate with skill
It's just a generally very good deck. It never does anything that feels as busted as what the other best decks can do, but it also has fewer exploitable weaknesses. I'm not convinced it's the strongest deck, but it's reliable despite being just a bit bricky.

It isn't. The tier is more reflective of player choices and there's tons of people who just like how VS players. Purrely is probably the real strongest deck, but people got bored of purrely fast and/or don't like the furry art.

the actual reason it's tier 1 on their list is because of the absurd amount of representation it has compared to everything else despite not actually being at the top in power level
that's kind of a flawed argument. the fact that it's getting top 16 often over other decks shows its power. unless you can present some charts that show the amount of all decks in tournaments compared to how many of them get top cut, and VS is shown to just be flooding the tournaments for some reason.

I enjoy the deck and how open-ended it plays, and if you're unsure you can get away with 2x Madlove and 1x Caesar Valius if you only wanna spend 90 UR. The biggest issue is that the deck lives and dies on it's staples. If you have Kurikara, D Shifter, Bystials, Kashtira, etc then they're great for the deck.
Can't make the decision for you, sadly. It plays a bit like Sky Striker if that helps, where you can take advantageous trades and outvalue your opponent over a longer (read: 4-7 turn) game rather than OTKing them like most other decks, and it can fold quickly to decks that are able to push through it's relatively smaller disruption capability. That's not really a flaw IMO, but just how some matchups shake out.
The only flaw is that the deck can feel bad in some games, just because if you don't see Razen (Or at least 2 fires+Jiaolong) you can't ever get your engine going so it feels like you lost without ever getting to play. Prosperity or ROTA at 3 in this deck would be a godsend, but that's not gonna happen.

It was pretty good. Being able to go into Shooting Riser and synchro-ing during the opponent's turn was a good play if you had gotten handtrapped out of everything else. The only time I have liked Dragon Link was when it could do halq plays.

I was fine with Tomahawk being legal just because it's kind of bad compared to Halq, but that period of time where Kashtira had released but Ariseheart wasn't released yet so every Kashtira deck was just a Tomahawk pile, so awful. You'd imperm them and they'd instantly lose but every fifth game you'd have no hand traps versus them and they'd spend 40 minutes to end on a bunch of generic shit. Just so sacky.

Well, yeah but I had Starving Venom and could summon it on his turn but the board was unchanged, something prevented me from using it at all on my turn, so was a bit of a gable since he returned half of the backrow to hand at the end of the turn.

Where does that guy's post say just because? He specifically said that dig 4 is powerful for such an easy investment. Saryuja isn't even HOPT on the draw effect. It should probably be limited in all honesty. I have seen Dark World decks run multiple Saryuja because they just can. Hell, any deck that is good with Dangers can do the same.

Branded gets better, and we go back to every deck playing Verte as the backup plan for getting outplayed. Get rid of Verte and just Branded gets better no one else will bother to play it.

Kind of sort of. Right now with the current support equivalent to roughly where TCG was when they got it, Branded lists could choose to play Dragoon and it saw mixed success. But it was a legit tech option.
Later there's an archetype called Chimera which are retrains of Yugi's Chimera cards that are an entirely new type called Illusion which is played as Branded Chimera and it's actually a strong tier 1ish deck. Originally people weren't playing Dragoon in it, but recently some lists have been playing it and apparently doing well. I haven't kept up since I don't play Branded Chimera and no one at my locals does but I guess some lines changed when Master Tao came out and Nightmare Magician which was a shit card before also came into the deck.

It's got some neat things going for it, just sucks that we have yet another deck that can do handrips. It's preferred over the lore Branded decks because in TCG the minute Branded gets good it gets hated down in the format harder than Kashtira in MD. Chimera Branded is just way less reliant on Branded Fusion. I really like the concept behind Illusion monsters, sucks that the BP isn't as important as it used to be but maybe Illusions start getting printed with some busted effects that make the BP more important.

Basically all of the c00mbo deck already prevent you from doing anything and waste 5 minutes of your life. Stun can be countered easier, is more likely to brick, and in the very worse case scenario, you lose less time for the same result.

Remove Mikanko Promise and Kagura, add Pot of Ex and I personally run no handtraps in favor of board breakers since they trade better but I guess Max C is reasonable so long as they don't pass on an empty field.
Outside of that my ratios are a bit different and there's some techs I like such as Ultimate Slayer and Kaiju Slumber but they are UR so I'm not going to convince you to craft them but you definitely want at least 2x Thrust (Kash endboard makes it instantly online btw).
No, that was last year with nothing but runick and adamcipators, the ones with spright and tears probably were pretty bad too but i dropped the game that time
Honestly, not really. Not even close. The early duel cups with everyone doing ten minute long halq+auroradon combos or virtual world were worse. Right now, the only truly problematic deck is Purrely and maybe branded. Beyond that, the rest is relatively innocuous.
Kashtira lets you do more rank 7 plays and Unicorn search Birth unbricks any GG pieces that are stuck in your hand if you can't go into a complete GG Combined yet.
I have no clue, they had Plump, used Purrelyeap when I popped Evenly which got them a 4 mats Noir, then wasted 2 mats on Mantis after Ashing her, wasted 2 more mats to send away a trap from my field, went for attack with their weakass Noir and it got send back to deck before I could even use Compulsory Evacuation :/

It's one of those decks that you need multiple handtraps otherwise you don't do much. Always Ash Calarium, or every other thing that gets them into Visas Starfrost, including the other planets. Droll is really the only thing that shuts them down. If you can Nib before they put a negate out, that is also good.
Gate Guardian Kash took me to lv 15. I won a little over 50% of my games which is surprising, but now I'm probably going to try Manaddium or something.

Conflict on Emergence is defensible since you can theoretically follow up with something like Ecclesia or Taia, and adding extension like Long Yuan could let you push through his board if you also had a Vishuda, but honestly so many people in this game just shotgun their negates. I think the idea is that if you play a combo-heavy deck and get to go full combo, you're supposed to be unbeatable. But that's what going-second cards like TTT are for.

Is this card safe to dust if I don't play Swordsoul? I have a D-Link deck but I feel like if I wanted to lean more on the Synchro side of that strategy I'd play cards like Assault Synchron instead.

It's power isn't that much higher than the other decks and the community tournaments as a measure of deck power is a bad metric. These tournaments often have low entries, the entrants themselves aren't necessarily skilled players, and they play BO3 with side decks. A BO3 format resembles actual Master Duel ladder games about as much as a Ford F150 resembles a housecat.

This cannot be overstated. Skill of average TCGkek is around Gold 3~Plat 5, they are totally not representative of high Master gameplay.
The only requirement for entering these tournaments is being discord troony, which is not likely to correlate with skill
It's just a generally very good deck. It never does anything that feels as busted as what the other best decks can do, but it also has fewer exploitable weaknesses. I'm not convinced it's the strongest deck, but it's reliable despite being just a bit bricky.

I enjoy the deck and how open-ended it plays, and if you're unsure you can get away with 2x Madlove and 1x Caesar Valius if you only wanna spend 90 UR. The biggest issue is that the deck lives and dies on it's staples. If you have Kurikara, D Shifter, Bystials, Kashtira, etc then they're great for the deck.

Can't make the decision for you, sadly. It plays a bit like Sky Striker if that helps, where you can take advantageous trades and outvalue your opponent over a longer (read: 4-7 turn) game rather than OTKing them like most other decks, and it can fold quickly to decks that are able to push through it's relatively smaller disruption capability. That's not really a flaw IMO, but just how some matchups shake out.
The only flaw is that the deck can feel bad in some games, just because if you don't see Razen (Or at least 2 fires+Jiaolong) you can't ever get your engine going so it feels like you lost without ever getting to play. Prosperity or ROTA at 3 in this deck would be a godsend, but that's not gonna happen.

It was pretty good. Being able to go into Shooting Riser and synchro-ing during the opponent's turn was a good play if you had gotten handtrapped out of everything else. The only time I have liked Dragon Link was when it could do halq plays.

That probably depends on the targets you have available in the extra deck.

Well, yeah but I had Starving Venom and could summon it on his turn but the board was unchanged, something prevented me from using it at all on my turn, so was a bit of a gable since he returned half of the backrow to hand at the end of the turn.
Consider running a fusion that uses 3 links as material since math is everywhere. There's also @ignister Golem to consider.

The card was from quite a while ago and MAY have had green skin.
The card was not Regenerating Mummy, Samurai Zombie, or Three-legged Zombie.

Where does that guy's post say just because? He specifically said that dig 4 is powerful for such an easy investment. Saryuja isn't even HOPT on the draw effect. It should probably be limited in all honesty. I have seen Dark World decks run multiple Saryuja because they just can. Hell, any deck that is good with Dangers can do the same.
Branded gets better, and we go back to every deck playing Verte as the backup plan for getting outplayed. Get rid of Verte and just Branded gets better no one else will bother to play it.

Kind of sort of. Right now with the current support equivalent to roughly where TCG was when they got it, Branded lists could choose to play Dragoon and it saw mixed success. But it was a legit tech option.
Later there's an archetype called Chimera which are retrains of Yugi's Chimera cards that are an entirely new type called Illusion which is played as Branded Chimera and it's actually a strong tier 1ish deck. Originally people weren't playing Dragoon in it, but recently some lists have been playing it and apparently doing well. I haven't kept up since I don't play Branded Chimera and no one at my locals does but I guess some lines changed when Master Tao came out and Nightmare Magician which was a shit card before also came into the deck.

It's got some neat things going for it, just sucks that we have yet another deck that can do handrips. It's preferred over the lore Branded decks because in TCG the minute Branded gets good it gets hated down in the format harder than Kashtira in MD. Chimera Branded is just way less reliant on Branded Fusion. I really like the concept behind Illusion monsters, sucks that the BP isn't as important as it used to be but maybe Illusions start getting printed with some busted effects that make the BP more important.

Basically all of the c00mbo deck already prevent you from doing anything and waste 5 minutes of your life. Stun can be countered easier, is more likely to brick, and in the very worse case scenario, you lose less time for the same result.

Remove Mikanko Promise and Kagura, add Pot of Ex and I personally run no handtraps in favor of board breakers since they trade better but I guess Max C is reasonable so long as they don't pass on an empty field.
Outside of that my ratios are a bit different and there's some techs I like such as Ultimate Slayer and Kaiju Slumber but they are UR so I'm not going to convince you to craft them but you definitely want at least 2x Thrust (Kash endboard makes it instantly online btw).

Honestly this one isn't too bad. Last DC was almost on par with the ones with VFD and Halq-Auroradon slop decks that were literally unplayable.
Honestly, not really. Not even close. The early duel cups with everyone doing ten minute long halq+auroradon combos or virtual world were worse. Right now, the only truly problematic deck is Purrely and maybe branded. Beyond that, the rest is relatively innocuous.

Kashtira lets you do more rank 7 plays and Unicorn search Birth unbricks any GG pieces that are stuck in your hand if you can't go into a complete GG Combined yet.

It's one of those decks that you need multiple handtraps otherwise you don't do much. Always Ash Calarium, or every other thing that gets them into Visas Starfrost, including the other planets. Droll is really the only thing that shuts them down. If you can Nib before they put a negate out, that is also good.
