I saw this posted in one of the Dark Gathering episode streams on Ganker some weeks back. Whoever did this, the amount of effort you Master Duel homies put in for your memes is something else.
Why is there a toggle for Auto, anyway? I've finally started messing with my toggle settings the other day and from what I can tell it seems like Auto is just strictly worse than On. I realized all the times I could have activated game-warping effect during the draw phase instead of waiting for my opponent to do something reactable in MP1 and now I'm wondering why such a shittier option even exists, let alone as the default setting.
Auto is just less annoying than On but fulfills the same purpose in 99% of situations. On asks you every single time you get priority if you want to do something, Auto just tends to ask you when it's useful. Obviously On is strictly better since it gives you the maximum control over how you use your effects (combined with self-chain settings), but it's annoying to switch between them. And most people tend to not use the Hold settings which let you hold M1/2 to swap. Off is also useful for bluffing but that's besides the point.
DLv17 and a 9 win streak with Icejades without counting the cheating DUELIST homosexual who got me stuck in Connecting for 20 minutes, barely surviving my promo duel against Vice Ass who opened double A Hero Lives, Visas and Reichheart, e-girl Aegirine held the fort like a champ. Now the real pain begins.
I wonder if there's a video out there of some sort of "what if Vanila card flavor text actually worked as effects" and the duel start with one guy just revealing Avram from his hand and screaming "CHECK THIS OUT! ok I pass turn."
Okay sure but only maybe 200 of those matter at any given time, being generous. And any that don't but that still come up can usually be figured out at a glance. Knowing what the 10ish relevant Kashtira cards do is good, but you don't need to know the effect of every single Gem Knight.

Lab is already pretty easy to beat since everyone already runs negates and ash. Runick on the other hand needed specific cards to deal with or you just lose.

Here's what I spent my hard-earned gems on.
Icejade with Zoodiac Barrage because every Water engine is a bricky piece of shit so instead I can sit on Drident while waiting for Aegirine to appear. I also use Gymir Aegirine to protect Zeus.
That's one spicy Icejade list. Although personally I'm too spooked of drawing Gurnards to only pack one, and Sea Mare's a little slow for me.
If you want extra consistency that isn't Zoo you could always use anon's old pre-ran list tech (Synchro Overtake) to fish up Diva and go into Gymir that way.

Can someone tell me why I couldn't chain Zefra Divine Strike to Ra's on summon effect? I almost lost that Duel because of that, aside the cards on field he only activated Ancient Chant and reactor Slime to get the bodies for the tribute and nothing said anything about negating responses.

Holy frick I always skipped the god's first part because I thought it was just summon cost, well good thing to remember in the future, guy missed lethal by 100 damage so I was tense during the whole thing.
Hard draw Oracle of Zefra add Zefrathuban pop him, sadly he instantly tributed it with the trap that healed him to 9600 but he ran out of gas and my deck doesnt run out of gas so I hit him for lethal later.
Also to add to this, I would have assumed that the effect that activates when it's summoned would be consider right AFTER it's summoned so I would have probably considered that I could have still chained it, so another question comes to mind, would it have been different if the effect said IF instead of WHEN?

I just want to FYOOOOZE and shit out some DRAGONS, dammit. I've got everything chronologically up until Mercourier/Lost, but past that I only have a single Rindbrumm and a single Cartesia.
I mean the Fusion Deployments are structure deck cards, TT Talents is a bundle, Maxx C/Called By are cards you have in every deck anyway, Burial/Gold Sarc are staple spells, Nadir, Lulu, more than 1 Cartesia, Titaniklad, Garura, even arguably white Albion are optional and have lower rarity alternatives. This is just what a more optimal Branded list with some going second power looks like. Budget branded can exist but sadly the extra deck is pretty self-contained outside of superpoly targets.
How's VW working for you in this meta? I've had a sneaking suspicion that it might actually be really good right now under everyone's radar, but I haven't pulled mine out to test it.
No clue how it would do against the meta, havent played it online yet . But Malong is an amazing card in the deck and just opens up so many synchro levels.
You'd think that them being more complicated than average decks would help to keep one more engaged but something is just missing with the pend mechanic.

I think these are better than people think. You have up to nine copies of white thanks to searcher and field spell. Normal summon white gets you field spell and red as one card combo, which you can use to either go into Lavalval Salamander to draw two discard two, or to go into AFD to pop field spell you just searched to extend into Kashtira or just grab Ravine.
Whole battle phase stuff is a gimmick that will probably come up here and there when OTKing, but the deck has some stuff going first.
I hope there's a gimmick puppet player out there who was given the puppet lock without the branded player knowing.
Not that it matters since puppets suck but I think it would be funny.

I wish I knew what people were talking about when they say mathmech can play through handtraps. They completely frick me when I try to play. And in general, mathmech seem so fricking fragile. I'm trying to strike a balance between not overextending on my first turn, but also having something suitable to not die immediately on my opponent's turn. Laplacian with one negate can only do so much.
I've been thinking about changing up the extra deck into something more defensive rather than everything tunnelvisioning on making accesscode or the firewall stuff.

It's just that, all of the typical links have no real protection, so once they've been take care of, it's a huge problem to mount a comeback. Like kashtira for instance, they just keep recurring fricking everything, I hate it. Branded too, but I haven't fought much branded recently.
Swordsoul Tenyi is famous for being able to brute force Shenying + Baronne/Sinister Sovereign against almost any boardstate - you do have to learn how to use the Tenyi half of the deck. But because Normal Summon Mo Ye is so strong, a lot of the people using it don't bother learning the deck properly and think it's an instant choke. For example, Ashuna + Vishuda threatens full combo without using your normal summon.
The deck hasn't dropped off because of its inability to make a board, it's dropped off because that's just not enough against decks now.
Branded has a very good grind game and is fine going first or second.
Labrynth grind is also great, but doesn't do too well going second. You'll have to hope you open with furniture.

Consistency hits did their job and made the deck no longer able to guarantee the desired endboard and people started playing the out. Still a powerdul deck but why play something that's only powerful 66% of the time and is likely to get outed by 1 card when you could play Branded instead and have 100% consistently powerful boards and a million extenders to play through interruption and endboards that require multiple outs?

Honestly surprised after the stapler incident that they didn't get Dragon Ruler'd (Every card of the archetype is limited or forbidden). I still don't know if any deck will ever be hit that hard again.
The thinking is if you replaced "Tearlaments" with "[archetype]" everywhere on the card, it's one of the best cards in [archetype]. And it's not a W Nebula Meteorite situation where bad decks get to have good cards if they're xenophobic enough, it's the best deck ever printed.
It's just another way of pointing out just how above curve Tears are compared to everything else ever printed.

My hypothetical was that I drew no other tear cards. The only way to get reino to summon without sending from hand is if you only have tear kash and use tear kash in response with something else to banish.
Lab has a rough time right now with the amount of bystials in everybody's decks, they also have some bad match ups with a lot of the current meta decks in general.
Why can't I reveal Mad Love here for a draw? Is it because the card is public knowledge since I returned her to my hand to summon burger therefor I can't 'reveal' her or something silly like that?

It would be really strong vs most decks if resolved on turn 1 and an instant win vs a bunch. Basically every Yugioh deck has some card that if you take 3 copies away then it doesn't function. And a ton have cards like that ran at 1 or 2 copies.
I want to build a rouge waifu deck, preferably dicky. I'm already close to finishing DC cup with traptrix so I'll experiment with another deck after I'm done. What deck would you recommend?

Normal summon anything normal summonable, link Striker, extend with black/white if youve got em, rokkets usung BSL if not, and bystials if nothing else, go into Romulus once you have 2 bodies on the board, use Dragon Ravine to send Absorouter and get Tracer on the field, then freestyle with whatever you've got until your opponent surrenders.
It is bemusing how much Konami clearly doesn't give a shit about its female anime characters but will shill their poorly veiled game original ripoffs to no end in a desperate attempt to get the gacha audience and then they have to ban cosplaying from their events because it just got the crossdresser audience
lel I made Lab just so I could play with the royal Slifer and even in an unoptimized form (not even playing DBarrier or EEV) it's absurd how strong it is

To be fair, Lab doesn't depend on those two traps to be good, EEV has dropped in usage a lot and decks like Kash, Mathmech and even Branded can play around D. Barrier. When Compulsory is a good trap to have, you know that Lab can do well with any tool.
So you can't "play around D barrier", you just hope Fenrir is good enough because no competent deck is going to be stopped by Unicorn or Ogre.
All three Kash names can banish as soon as you do something, which at that point in the game is sure to happen, especially if they carry Ogre because they can snipe a one-of, same with Riseheart banishing from the deck just because he can. If you can't get rid of Fenrir in time, they'll surely banish Lovely so you can't recycle D. Barrier anymore.
"I will banish cards from the topdeck and surely that will hit an important one off" is a funny cope, reminds me of when people played Runick just to deckout.

You're losing FOUR cards from the top of your deck between Riseheart and Ogre, one of them being your opponent's choice out of five, and that's not even counting Birth which can banish three from your GY if you play any spell, that's extremely damaging for Labrynth which carries a lot of one-ofs. You might be assuming that the Lab board is as optimal as it can be to play through non-XYZ Kash, but on most scenarios it will get severely crippled it it allows the Kash player to fill his board.
All three Kash names can banish as soon as you do something, which at that point in the game is sure to happen, especially if they carry Ogre because they can snipe a one-of, same with Riseheart banishing from the deck just because he can. If you can't get rid of Fenrir in time, they'll surely banish Lovely so you can't recycle D. Barrier anymore.

Fenrir is only mandatory in VS and everything else you can play other packages or tech aside from Fenrir that are just as good. Like with Purrely you can play any of the various discard engines instead. And never mind the decks like Branded that just don't play Branded at all.

Icejade has a lot of level 7 Water monsters within the deck. It's possible to turbo out Ultimaya Tzolkin since so many of them are tuners, and even cards like Fenrir/Ogre and Therion "Reaper" Fum can be bodies.
Anon, both Ran and Aegirocassis are Lv7 Tuners, and the deck can also run Fenrir. Prima Donna is also Lv7 which can be summoned from Diva, even if Tzolkin might miss the target protection because it's not Synchro summoned.

The advantage is that the equip effect is a Quick Effect that can be activate from hand or GY. The deck also has a non-OPT monster searcher and a summon from deck, so it balances out.

Why is there a toggle for Auto, anyway? I've finally started messing with my toggle settings the other day and from what I can tell it seems like Auto is just strictly worse than On. I realized all the times I could have activated game-warping effect during the draw phase instead of waiting for my opponent to do something reactable in MP1 and now I'm wondering why such a shittier option even exists, let alone as the default setting.
Auto is just less annoying than On but fulfills the same purpose in 99% of situations. On asks you every single time you get priority if you want to do something, Auto just tends to ask you when it's useful. Obviously On is strictly better since it gives you the maximum control over how you use your effects (combined with self-chain settings), but it's annoying to switch between them. And most people tend to not use the Hold settings which let you hold M1/2 to swap. Off is also useful for bluffing but that's besides the point.

So when do I need to worry about ranking down in the Duelist Cup? I'm at Lvl 17 but haven't had a bad loss streak yet and I want to dick around.
You can't fall below 17 but you can drop from 19 to 18 or 18 to 17 once you hit 20 you can't drop anymore
DLv17 is where the true climb begins, you can't drop from 17, but you can demote on 18 and 19 until you reach DLvMAX.
Hell I can't even get to 17. I've been floundering around 15/16 all day.
My climb was surprisingly easy, only one loss from DLv14 to 17, but I'm worried I'll start getting matched with stungays since it seems those are everywhere past this level.

Here's what I spent my hard-earned gems on.
Icejade with Zoodiac Barrage because every Water engine is a bricky piece of shit so instead I can sit on Drident while waiting for Aegirine to appear. I also use Gymir Aegirine to protect Zeus.
That's one spicy Icejade list. Although personally I'm too spooked of drawing Gurnards to only pack one, and Sea Mare's a little slow for me.
If you want extra consistency that isn't Zoo you could always use anon's old pre-ran list tech (Synchro Overtake) to fish up Diva and go into Gymir that way.

Can someone tell me why I couldn't chain Zefra Divine Strike to Ra's on summon effect? I almost lost that Duel because of that, aside the cards on field he only activated Ancient Chant and reactor Slime to get the bodies for the tribute and nothing said anything about negating responses.

Holy frick I always skipped the god's first part because I thought it was just summon cost, well good thing to remember in the future, guy missed lethal by 100 damage so I was tense during the whole thing.
How were you able to out his god card?
Hard draw Oracle of Zefra add Zefrathuban pop him, sadly he instantly tributed it with the trap that healed him to 9600 but he ran out of gas and my deck doesnt run out of gas so I hit him for lethal later.
Also to add to this, I would have assumed that the effect that activates when it's summoned would be consider right AFTER it's summoned so I would have probably considered that I could have still chained it, so another question comes to mind, would it have been different if the effect said IF instead of WHEN?

You should pull from the new selection pack then. It has everything new in there + nadir.
I mean the Fusion Deployments are structure deck cards, TT Talents is a bundle, Maxx C/Called By are cards you have in every deck anyway, Burial/Gold Sarc are staple spells, Nadir, Lulu, more than 1 Cartesia, Titaniklad, Garura, even arguably white Albion are optional and have lower rarity alternatives. This is just what a more optimal Branded list with some going second power looks like. Budget branded can exist but sadly the extra deck is pretty self-contained outside of superpoly targets.

I think these are better than people think. You have up to nine copies of white thanks to searcher and field spell. Normal summon white gets you field spell and red as one card combo, which you can use to either go into Lavalval Salamander to draw two discard two, or to go into AFD to pop field spell you just searched to extend into Kashtira or just grab Ravine.
Whole battle phase stuff is a gimmick that will probably come up here and there when OTKing, but the deck has some stuff going first.

I wish I knew what people were talking about when they say mathmech can play through handtraps. They completely frick me when I try to play. And in general, mathmech seem so fricking fragile. I'm trying to strike a balance between not overextending on my first turn, but also having something suitable to not die immediately on my opponent's turn. Laplacian with one negate can only do so much.
I've been thinking about changing up the extra deck into something more defensive rather than everything tunnelvisioning on making accesscode or the firewall stuff.

I think you focus too much on its fragile side. It is still far much better than most to me. Which deck do you think is more robust than mathmech, beside dlink?
It's just that, all of the typical links have no real protection, so once they've been take care of, it's a huge problem to mount a comeback. Like kashtira for instance, they just keep recurring fricking everything, I hate it. Branded too, but I haven't fought much branded recently.

Swordsoul Tenyi is famous for being able to brute force Shenying + Baronne/Sinister Sovereign against almost any boardstate - you do have to learn how to use the Tenyi half of the deck. But because Normal Summon Mo Ye is so strong, a lot of the people using it don't bother learning the deck properly and think it's an instant choke. For example, Ashuna + Vishuda threatens full combo without using your normal summon.
The deck hasn't dropped off because of its inability to make a board, it's dropped off because that's just not enough against decks now.
Branded.
Branded has a very good grind game and is fine going first or second.
Labrynth grind is also great, but doesn't do too well going second. You'll have to hope you open with furniture.

Remember, this is the 2nd or 3rd weakest Tearlament card, and it's a good fusion of Emergency Teleport and Foolish Burial

The thinking is if you replaced "Tearlaments" with "[archetype]" everywhere on the card, it's one of the best cards in [archetype]. And it's not a W Nebula Meteorite situation where bad decks get to have good cards if they're xenophobic enough, it's the best deck ever printed.
It's just another way of pointing out just how above curve Tears are compared to everything else ever printed.

My hypothetical was that I drew no other tear cards. The only way to get reino to summon without sending from hand is if you only have tear kash and use tear kash in response with something else to banish.

You need to summon Borrelend, Dis Pater and Savage.
Normal summon anything normal summonable, link Striker, extend with black/white if youve got em, rokkets usung BSL if not, and bystials if nothing else, go into Romulus once you have 2 bodies on the board, use Dragon Ravine to send Absorouter and get Tracer on the field, then freestyle with whatever you've got until your opponent surrenders.

To be fair, Lab doesn't depend on those two traps to be good, EEV has dropped in usage a lot and decks like Kash, Mathmech and even Branded can play around D. Barrier. When Compulsory is a good trap to have, you know that Lab can do well with any tool.

You're losing FOUR cards from the top of your deck between Riseheart and Ogre, one of them being your opponent's choice out of five, and that's not even counting Birth which can banish three from your GY if you play any spell, that's extremely damaging for Labrynth which carries a lot of one-ofs. You might be assuming that the Lab board is as optimal as it can be to play through non-XYZ Kash, but on most scenarios it will get severely crippled it it allows the Kash player to fill his board.

All three Kash names can banish as soon as you do something, which at that point in the game is sure to happen, especially if they carry Ogre because they can snipe a one-of, same with Riseheart banishing from the deck just because he can. If you can't get rid of Fenrir in time, they'll surely banish Lovely so you can't recycle D. Barrier anymore.
I'm pretty sure that getting a board of all 3 names + Birth + Preparations is probably more delibitating for Labrynth than Ariseheart pass is

Icejade has a lot of level 7 Water monsters within the deck. It's possible to turbo out Ultimaya Tzolkin since so many of them are tuners, and even cards like Fenrir/Ogre and Therion "Reaper" Fum can be bodies.

Anon, both Ran and Aegirocassis are Lv7 Tuners, and the deck can also run Fenrir. Prima Donna is also Lv7 which can be summoned from Diva, even if Tzolkin might miss the target protection because it's not Synchro summoned.

The advantage is that the equip effect is a Quick Effect that can be activate from hand or GY. The deck also has a non-OPT monster searcher and a summon from deck, so it balances out.
