I could use some more UR so depending on how many gems I get in January and what's in the Jan/Feb selection packs I might buy it before it expires. Not really interested in either of the accessories but I'd be okay with master packs at a discount if there's nothing else I care about coming.

Mathmech get extra deck locked so they’re far less flexible than D-link and are more fragile. Certain plays lock them to cyberse. It’s good at OTKing but it’s boards are mid even when they pop off

I've already told you, almost no one playing puppet lock when Expulsion was legal. If anything, branded players use/d Sanction/Expulsion to prevent Evenly Matched.
If you actually play the deck you will notice that the only hands that make this meme lock are the ones where you get to play uninterrupted. It's so much easier to do with Expulsion it's not even funny.

There were multiple ways to beat Winda and Pank was just one of them, yet despite being good that format so little people bothered to play him at all and continued to b***h. Pank was a 2 for 1 trade in your favor which was insane back then, more relative value than Fenrir is now and had a bigger impact just sitting on the board than Fenrir does today.

Out of these it's obviously Nemurelia. Crappy as the deck is, the entire thing is super well done thematically and creatively uses the game's mechanics to embody the card art.

No, although that is a part of it. I specifically mentioned Kashtira was ugly as frick though.
Kashtira's effects are all designed around their roles as military officers and raiders, while their inspiration design-wise is based in mythology. Their elements are also chosen based on the Indian Akasha (Fire Air Water Earth) which is why each of the main 4 Kashtira monsters (i.e. barring the replicas) are different attributes.
All of these monsters are invaders who are stealing and pillaging alien worlds (their banish effect).
Unicorn is the officer who secures assets, and his effect is meant to be him stealing from Visas and Kitkallos when Kaleido-Heart was defeated and began crumbling back into Reinoheart.
Fenrir is their quick raider ground force who steals from the field when deployed from Shangri-Ira, being followed by other forces behind.
Ogre is their thug muscle who is moving their devices, hence why he fetches a trap card. He extracts resources with the capsules, which is why he digs your deck and takes a card.
Together, these alien invaders make the acronym "U.F.O." and they steal wild animals from Reichphobia.
The Shangri-Ira is their orbital deployment and assault platform when they raid worlds, which it literally does directly in the effect, deploying a soldier every turn, and begins to convert the world for the Kashtira forces, hence the beam covering a space every time a soldier is sent down to take over that area.
Berth (Birth) is the area where they've deployed their equipment, hence why they can be normal summoned there.
The rest of them quite literally depict the events of the story happening rather than just representing a trait usually but overall the archetype DID have thought put into the actual design and effects.
This of course does not stop it from being poorly designed gameplay-wise and interacting so badly with older cards (#89) that it literally became the most hated deck in the game of course, which is honestly justified.

The cards go to the graveyard first, but it's all part of one action happening, which is the monster being summoned. Since you cannot legally summon monsters of another Attribute due to Gozen Match's effect, you can't cause that action to happen. Same reason this ruling applies even if Interrupted Kaiju Slumber would destroy Spirit Dragon before summoning the monsters, summoning the monsters is part of the effect that destroys all monsters on the field, so you can't do it, so you just can't play the card at all.
Thank god they made this nonsense ruling in favor of flood gates, I don't know what I would do if my opponent was allowed to play the game. The idea of my opponent getting even the smallest modicum of enjoyment out of their turn makes me feel physically ill.
Maybe just make it so it's like 30 games till Diamond instead of having Plat 5-to-1. I don't mind having to climb, but it's annoying that a couple of loses at the wrong point can set you back so much.

You're just running into the logical issue with "non-engine" - if you run more than 10-12 of it (which you need to in order to consistently see it every game) it bricks up your hand.

Happens in Exosister sometimes. If you banish 6 you are always banishing all of your situational ED cards or a portion of your engine. That's worth it when you don't have a good hand because you can still win the game off Magnifica and Mikailis alone, but why take the risk and banish a potentially useful Bagooska or Asophiel if your hand is already good?
Some decks actually use their extra deck but still want the extra card or to dig for a specific starter because they don't do anything without them. Or they're greedy.

Hell, if Kashtira weren't so fricking ugly and samey, their thematics and effects are actually well designed around mythology, their roles in their card hierarchy, their card effects reflecting their actions and functionality in story, and even their elements have thought put into them.

No, although that is a part of it. I specifically mentioned Kashtira was ugly as frick though.
Kashtira's effects are all designed around their roles as military officers and raiders, while their inspiration design-wise is based in mythology. Their elements are also chosen based on the Indian Akasha (Fire Air Water Earth) which is why each of the main 4 Kashtira monsters (i.e. barring the replicas) are different attributes.
All of these monsters are invaders who are stealing and pillaging alien worlds (their banish effect).
Unicorn is the officer who secures assets, and his effect is meant to be him stealing from Visas and Kitkallos when Kaleido-Heart was defeated and began crumbling back into Reinoheart.
Fenrir is their quick raider ground force who steals from the field when deployed from Shangri-Ira, being followed by other forces behind.
Ogre is their thug muscle who is moving their devices, hence why he fetches a trap card. He extracts resources with the capsules, which is why he digs your deck and takes a card.
Together, these alien invaders make the acronym "U.F.O." and they steal wild animals from Reichphobia.
The Shangri-Ira is their orbital deployment and assault platform when they raid worlds, which it literally does directly in the effect, deploying a soldier every turn, and begins to convert the world for the Kashtira forces, hence the beam covering a space every time a soldier is sent down to take over that area.
Berth (Birth) is the area where they've deployed their equipment, hence why they can be normal summoned there.
The rest of them quite literally depict the events of the story happening rather than just representing a trait usually but overall the archetype DID have thought put into the actual design and effects.
This of course does not stop it from being poorly designed gameplay-wise and interacting so badly with older cards (#89) that it literally became the most hated deck in the game of course, which is honestly justified.

The cards go to the graveyard first, but it's all part of one action happening, which is the monster being summoned. Since you cannot legally summon monsters of another Attribute due to Gozen Match's effect, you can't cause that action to happen. Same reason this ruling applies even if Interrupted Kaiju Slumber would destroy Spirit Dragon before summoning the monsters, summoning the monsters is part of the effect that destroys all monsters on the field, so you can't do it, so you just can't play the card at all.
MD shows Jinzo hitting the field but you can still Solemn him, it's not always 100% accurate

Happens in Exosister sometimes. If you banish 6 you are always banishing all of your situational ED cards or a portion of your engine. That's worth it when you don't have a good hand because you can still win the game off Magnifica and Mikailis alone, but why take the risk and banish a potentially useful Bagooska or Asophiel if your hand is already good?
