branded is basically all engine in the TCG, there isn't a lot of room for handtraps or board beakers, they actually have to pay a price for the consistency
in the OCG, there are bo1 tournaments where branded performs well, but in the actual bo3 meta branded is low tier

I'm been testing Dragon Link post-banlist all day, here are my day 1 observations

Today I primarily played Dragunity Link with Adventure and a small Tear engine for milling
>Adventure and Tear have great synergy with Dragunity and fix the main issue I had with the deck before, that being that running through multiple copies of Ravine depletes your hand really fast. Adventure and Tear give you give you free discard fodder in the form of Dracoback and Tear Kash.

That's just the fate of Synchrons. If Speeder gets negated you die instantly and if not you win. There's not much to be done about it aside from run Called/Crossout and pray you draw them when needed. I've been wanting to build them myself because I love the top end Stardust variations, but I keep putting it off for that reason.

It's a continuous effect Anon, it lasts until it leaves the field. It's why it's the best anti-burn card, given you don't expect to be killed in a single chain. That's what Hanewata is for.
One of DDD's gimmicks is that they have continuous spells that burn you for 1k during your standby. Leonidas and a couple other of their cards are designed to prevent that from happening.

Here's a pretty standard one that I haven't touched in months that is near identical to what everyone else was using at the time. The UR field spell is unnecessary. It's really good sometimes but kind of bricky which is awful for a searcher. I think it gets better when their support releases? You'll basically never need the 2nd Deep Beyond. And Paces and maybe Shif can probably be cut to 2. Maybe Zep to 1.
Keep it budget and just go with the 1 Ghoti of the Deep Beyond UR before you decide if you want to invest in the field or a 2nd Beyond.

Anyway, run Small World if you have it since just getting your Borger online is all that matters. I don't personally think the one and done anti burn hand traps are worth it since just stopping one single burn card out of 5 isn't enough. Hanewa and Leonidus are the only good ones in my opinion.

I'm running a Dragunity build right now so I usually revive Gay Dearg with Pisty to keep ploosing off his SOPT foolish/rota and just make Spheres with whatever excess material I have. It's all very loose and vibes based especially since I'm trying out a bunch of tech I'm unfamiliar with right now and misplaying pretty frequently, but even so I'm never really hurting for dragon bodies to make a spheres once the engine gets going.

Combo decks are still the best deck even with Maxx C in the game. It didn't fix the issue, it just makes some games feel so sacky since sometimes it's just a game of whether you draw Maxx C to stop them or they draw the ash/called by/crossout to stop your Maxx C.

This was the case when Maxx C was printed, and no one played it.
Because the pace of the game was fundamentally different back then. You don't understand shit.
I was there, Maxx wasn't played so much in older formats becaus most summons were inherent, so rather than "at minimum Upstart" you'd often end up just pitching a card for no payoff.
In the Chaos Dragon format for example, you had to drop Maxx preemptively before Lightpulsar hits the field, or else it gots its lock.
Now there are so many effect summons from the deck and hand Maxx is incredibly easy to use.

Did you watch Arc-V? Pendulum by design was supposed to utilize other summon mechanics. That's why the superdeck argument was always a shit one, pends are not a mechanic, they are a deck in the same way Artifacts are a deck.
If you just want to do the mission, just make an N/R Metalfoes deck. All pendulum decks are basically the same anyway, so you're not really missing much.

Too many garnets. Terrortop was taken off because of how efficient modern engines are. Best to use Terrortop for something that better synergizes with your deck like recovering a with the rank 3 in The Weather or level 3 psychic synchro spam
