Honestly, I don't give a frick about stun, combo or random rogue shit. All decks do the same shit ultimately which is trying to stop you from letting you play. But I've come to despise generic hand traps that literally don't let you play 99% of decks the most. Droll, Maxx C and Shifter are cancer cards that should be banned and if you disagree you are a moronic homosexual.
Ash, Imperm, Veiler and other crap that trades 1 for 1 is honest, fair, and promote smart play rather than shotgunning a game breaking lingering effect. Nibiru can be played around despite trading unevenly by only summoning 4 times or setting up a block before the 5th summon.
Remember that was back in the day and their reasoning was the discards triggered effects with how the deck works and you mitigate the cost with getting a mermaid spell. Now something like him has a secondary effect in modern yugioh to go along if destroyed. A small change but it’s a boost in power level.
The new fishborg card synergizes well with discard 1 for lower cost plays.

Unrespondable is pretty bullshit but I actually kinda like this card and I think it has potential if more archetypes would restrict your ED summoning for the entire turn instead of just applying xenolocks. There are a lot of decks that would want to have all 15 ED slots (Cyberse piles come to mind) or would want more access to boardbreakers by way of TT Thrust which can't search this card. It also has some utility going first, which I think is the best part of cards like TT Talents. At the same time, there a lot of matchups where Superpoly is just a dead card, which balances out it's unreasonably good effect to a degree. Add more archetypes with turn-wide locks and suddenly you get a lot of interesting deckbuilding questions. Do I want to include superpoly targets to help going second or do I want to jam in more utility monsters so I don't frick myself over because I'm not playing a fusion deck? I don't personally want it banned, but at the same time right now it's bullshit enough that I could see it. Unrespondable by anything really makes it unreasonable. Maybe errata it to not allow your opponent to negate it with monster effects, but other effects can still respond, like I:P quick links or VS tagouts.
It's kinda limited unless your opponent is using materials you could make your own fusions with. As it only draws from both fields.
And if you are running fusions the only cards you would carry in your extra are cards the fuse with shit in your deck and Mud dragon for the soul purpose of using Super poly.

Depends on the card but surely you can understand that something like Grass is pure bullshit high-variance nonsense. Or someone with a 60 card deck opening EXACTLY the cards they need with at least one of the cards in their hand being a hard drawn one of. I don't like to put too much blame on any loss to being "sacked" because it can stunt your growth as a player to just write off the loss instead of looking over what you could have done otherwise. But there's some moments you look your game over and realize that it was just pure bullshit and there was nothing you could have done, even pre-game like your deck build choices or a card just being straight up OP. There's just some cards and some situations like that, and that's the kind of shit that should be eliminated from the game if possible.

What the frick does this even mean? MtG is way more high variance than yugioh, it's just a less complicated and much slower game. It's like the polar opposite of yugioh. More high variance and the larger decksize to play Grass makes yugioh closer to magic in more respects than it does farther away from how explosive Grass is.

If you are a Black person you can spam D-barrier and do dragublion OTK. if you actually have a brain you have a nice trap toolbox to deal with almost anything and still slot some fun memes like Drop Off or Osiris
Traps are often stronger effect-wise compared to spells due to you needing to set them. Therefore most trap decks are slow.
Labrynth is not slow. It can forcibly activate 1 trap the turn it was set, it has quick effects to set traps on the opponent's turn, it can recycle traps, and it can search all normal traps for no cost.
The deck has the gas no other trap deck has, and can grind like mad across a bitter match of many turns.

See, this is where you went wrong. Lab is a combo deck, it just reaches a different gamestate than combo decks but achieves it in the same fashion.

They have, many, many times, are you joking? Adventure got Rite of Aramatir to compensate for Rite of Aramesir, and the deck being banned and limited out of existence due to engine crimes, and Tesea to replace the lost Enchantresses. Both of these cards were made less generic.
There's also the bulk of the pot cards, which are just worse than Greed, like Avarice.
This event is essentially a pandemic simulator. A small group of people who attend the event and scan the code are the initial group of infected and anyone who duels with them becomes infected as well.
So far there have been only 47 friendship duels but this number is going to explode exponentially until it's impossible to avoid it.

Thanks bro, taking your advice. One issue I've run with the deck I'm using is that once I'm in a situation where I'm topdecking, it's usually not improving until I can get Magician's souls. Excited to try out your version.
Hard to answer without resorting to link 1s or circulars but i guess something like kashtirabirth that lets me normal summon one more time and acts as a monster reborn on steroids would help a lot

Hard to fix without fundamental changes to how it works. The LED support helped but Wisel's atk restriction, Granel's lack of effects other than being a beater, and zero protection without the quickplay in the GY, it would need some way to put up more than 1 spell negate.
Diluting the deck with generic "staples". Some are necessary but your deck becomes shit the moment you replace your boss monster for something like Baronne like a complete bottom feeder.
If your deck is 2 archetypes, that's a classic YGO setup. 3 archetypes works if you can fit them in 40 card deck. Adventure Halqdon, Adventure Prank Kids were such decks..

The difference was Halqdon was finally consistent because of Adventure in a way that Tomahawk Turbo or Bishbaalkin isn't.

Remember that was back in the day and their reasoning was the discards triggered effects with how the deck works and you mitigate the cost with getting a mermaid spell. Now something like him has a secondary effect in modern yugioh to go along if destroyed. A small change but it’s a boost in power level.

It's the most fair board breaker.
Unrespondable is pretty bullshit but I actually kinda like this card and I think it has potential if more archetypes would restrict your ED summoning for the entire turn instead of just applying xenolocks. There are a lot of decks that would want to have all 15 ED slots (Cyberse piles come to mind) or would want more access to boardbreakers by way of TT Thrust which can't search this card. It also has some utility going first, which I think is the best part of cards like TT Talents. At the same time, there a lot of matchups where Superpoly is just a dead card, which balances out it's unreasonably good effect to a degree. Add more archetypes with turn-wide locks and suddenly you get a lot of interesting deckbuilding questions. Do I want to include superpoly targets to help going second or do I want to jam in more utility monsters so I don't frick myself over because I'm not playing a fusion deck? I don't personally want it banned, but at the same time right now it's bullshit enough that I could see it. Unrespondable by anything really makes it unreasonable. Maybe errata it to not allow your opponent to negate it with monster effects, but other effects can still respond, like I:P quick links or VS tagouts.

Depends on the card but surely you can understand that something like Grass is pure bullshit high-variance nonsense. Or someone with a 60 card deck opening EXACTLY the cards they need with at least one of the cards in their hand being a hard drawn one of. I don't like to put too much blame on any loss to being "sacked" because it can stunt your growth as a player to just write off the loss instead of looking over what you could have done otherwise. But there's some moments you look your game over and realize that it was just pure bullshit and there was nothing you could have done, even pre-game like your deck build choices or a card just being straight up OP. There's just some cards and some situations like that, and that's the kind of shit that should be eliminated from the game if possible.

What the frick does this even mean? MtG is way more high variance than yugioh, it's just a less complicated and much slower game. It's like the polar opposite of yugioh. More high variance and the larger decksize to play Grass makes yugioh closer to magic in more respects than it does farther away from how explosive Grass is.

If you are a Black person you can spam D-barrier and do dragublion OTK. if you actually have a brain you have a nice trap toolbox to deal with almost anything and still slot some fun memes like Drop Off or Osiris

Traps are often stronger effect-wise compared to spells due to you needing to set them. Therefore most trap decks are slow.
Labrynth is not slow. It can forcibly activate 1 trap the turn it was set, it has quick effects to set traps on the opponent's turn, it can recycle traps, and it can search all normal traps for no cost.
The deck has the gas no other trap deck has, and can grind like mad across a bitter match of many turns.

They have, many, many times, are you joking? Adventure got Rite of Aramatir to compensate for Rite of Aramesir, and the deck being banned and limited out of existence due to engine crimes, and Tesea to replace the lost Enchantresses. Both of these cards were made less generic.
There's also the bulk of the pot cards, which are just worse than Greed, like Avarice.

This event is essentially a pandemic simulator. A small group of people who attend the event and scan the code are the initial group of infected and anyone who duels with them becomes infected as well.
So far there have been only 47 friendship duels but this number is going to explode exponentially until it's impossible to avoid it.
