I will use sky striker- snake eyes.
Sky striker provides tokens and a easy rank 1 to start plays and do the start of the combo. The spells also provide good interruption and can bait negates in case of going second.
Quem is already summoning Albaz. Flamberge yoink Albion will probably turn off Banishment. Branded has no issues swarming the field with summoning shit on both turns plus they are often higher stats. If verte into branded fusion was a good play then verte would have been banned already.
The selection pack will stay for at least 2 months. Maybe 4 if they treat it like the rest of the event stuff. You have months worth of gems to waste on it.

This looks pretty good. Arcanite Magician is another good ED tech card, especially if you add Selene too. I'll probably try to find some room in the main deck for Peritrator. It's good to get revitalization online, plus it gives you 3 lvl-1s in the maindeck so you can tech in Jack-in-the-hand. Sucks the Maxx "c" tax cuts the deck room so much. I use that space in the TCG for some Solemns and Compulsory's and a second Manifestation.

VR is the logical choice, an AR Yugioh game would be moronic. "B-but's it's like this in the animu!!" is literally the only argument AR has going for itself in this case.
VR at least allows for more consistent artstyle and allows people to use anime avatars so that you don't have to look at the fat loser you're playing against.
AR is a lot simpler, and easier to get people to buy into. Especially since it's getting easier to just have the software recognize the art on the card, rather than rely on NFC, so you could just use the cards as you always do, and simply design 3D models and effects, something you'd need to do for VR anyway.
The whole point of AR is that it's mixing reality with a virtual space. VR is just a lane enclosed experience. It's also really fricking stupid of the not for capitalize on that, as someone is eventually going to come along, and design an AR TCG for spacial computers, that you can also just play as a regular TTTCG, where your physical collection lines up with your digital one for online play. That's, imo, the next big thing for TCGs, mark my words. Yu-Gi-Oh promised that shit ages ago, and now the tech is properly arriving. As spacial computers become more ubiquitous, it's going to happen.

Lab is the most honest deck there is right now. It doesn't have 1-card combos and all cards have real drawbacks and limitations.
It snowballs really easily, but often a single Ash Blossom or Raigeki/Harpie's Feather shuts it down completely. It cannot compete against Branded, Spright or even P.U.N.K./Gold Pride of they go first since they can simply wait until Lab runs out of resources while they get more for free, and it can't do anything against stun decks. Also it has a hard time snowballing if it goes second.

The DC reward had a small number of UR so it was easy to pull that card. When it comes to the legacy pack because they keep adding shit the longer you wait the less likely you are to pull a specific card.
Counter traps are crazy strong, big issue is how slow traps are.

The vast majority destroy, so Konami went out of its way to give almost every new archetype either searching when destroyed by card effect, or immunity to destruction from card effects.
The weakening of counter traps is part of why big monster combo becme a thing. In the old days you'd try to spam traps and summon some stun boss to protect them.
This is also why Cynet Conflict is such a bullshit card. it was designed specifically to not suffer any of the drawbacks 99% of normal counter traps do,.

They have so much recursion and are so versatile like they just cover every weakness they have. Intact my aswell read negate a monster effect destroy it and then you cant lose this turn.. they also have trap cards that can remove monsters that are immune to trap card effects that they can just pull right from their deck and use instantly due to trap trick or lab effects.
Even cards like duster dont do much to these decks because they just active all their crazy effects before they are destroyed and/or just activate all their GY effects. Are we st point where we need a card that banishes all set cards that players cant react to?
I hate that omni negates are really the only way to go up against these decks.

How often to papergays actually cheat? I see people here mention it as one of the main downsides of paper Yugioh but is it an actual common occurrence?
Setting your infernitys as spell cards is an iconic strat in paper, but odds are your going to play every now and then with someone pretending to be moronic as he trys to bend the rules of yugioh
There's tons when it comes to shuffling. People stacking their deck is the most common. It's why Tears always got perfect mills in paper.
There's actually a guide on YT for how to spot and avoid cheating when people shuffle, as it's a fairly easy slight of hand that also bypasses cutting. Pretty much the only way to avoid it is to shuffle their deck yourself when doing the cut. Which, given how much Yu-Gi-Oh searches, would be extremely time consuming.
It's also why BO3 would flop hardcore in MD, where you'd still have a roughly 30% chance of drawing your side deck cards, whereas in paper, especially the OCG chinks will run a one off side deck card, and somehow managed to magically draw it during round 2 or whatever.
There's also Rules sharking, and people intentionally wasting time in order to abuse timeout rules, etc....
Paper is pretty much 90% cheating in some way, and 10% actually playing the card game. TCG and OCG.
This. If you see any YT deck list, and they go "I also run, uhhh Gamma cause this card is super good" you just know exactly what they're doing. Super easy to stack Driver toward the bottom.
Unfortunately, whether intentional or not, it's a pretty frequent occurrence. You're less likely to run into "intentional" at a local level but some people literally cannot help themselves.

The answer is Chengying, you need to have 15 cards banished. Then after Rex uses its effect, no matter what, Rex will have 1500 Attack and Chengying will have 1500 + LP allowing you to kill it through the attack drop.
Lab isn't a floodgate deck, it has good synergy with some of them like D barrier but the engine itself is interruption based and you can easily hit M1 with 0 floodgates on your list.
I do play sky strikers. It's not good in the current meta. In the first place because you're always going second, SHS (most played deck right now) is an instant loss if you don't open droll or maxx c.
Secondly, droll (70-something % usage rate right now) stops shizuku, prevents you from using engage multiple times, and kills the best going second card you have (thrust).
Yes, the other stuff being played right now is not any more problematic than it was in the past (branded, VS, lab, etc.) but SHS and droll alone make climbing with strikers a horribly obnoxious gamble. Get lucky and don't encounter them? You can go on a win streak. See them? Game over. It's not at all like previous seasons where as long as you didn't frick up you were consistently able to win games.
It's fine but I hardly ever go into accesscode anyway so I don't really care about the non-striker ED cards except dharc. Unicorn is funny for sending roze and then spinning your opponent's ED zone monster so you can summon roze back though.

I don't think there's much use for blinkout in the deck since there's not really any value in swapping the link monsters for raye or roze.and linkage already works as a way to dodge imperms and whatnot.
But engage zero might change my opinion. Depends on how often I get stuck with it and no linkage lol. I already run the shitty pot of avarice just because I got annoyed with how many times I ended up in a long grind match where I ran out of the good ED strikers.

I can't tell for sure since I haven't played it in a long time but people seemed to be calling Blinkout the 4-6th copy of Linkage for it.
voice changer meds, it causes a similar effect to what happens when you inhale helium, but at a significantly lower effect and for a longer period of time.
Because we like to look at what they are releasing and this triggered a schizo to always talk about paper formats and how bad they are and that we shouldn't look at new cards. It never works. But it caused a war between TCG and OCG. Other factors like maxx c legality also play part in it.
We recently had a 3 day TCG banlist mini event. Now all the kids who have never played a paper format are having a shitfit because that banlist is vastly superior to the MD one. They are desperately trying to justify their time spent playing MD after learning that a strictly better version of the game has existed this entire time.

Sky striker provides tokens and a easy rank 1 to start plays and do the start of the combo. The spells also provide good interruption and can bait negates in case of going second.
Quem is already summoning Albaz. Flamberge yoink Albion will probably turn off Banishment. Branded has no issues swarming the field with summoning shit on both turns plus they are often higher stats. If verte into branded fusion was a good play then verte would have been banned already.

Even without the new support Altergeist is playable. With a little luck you can compete against meta decks pretty well. Here's a game I had against Branded today.
It's very feast or famine, but yeah if Altergeist gets their foot in the door it's not an easy matchup. That replay looks more like the power of Maxx C+regular traps+winning the coin flip going first than the power of Altergeist though.

This looks pretty good. Arcanite Magician is another good ED tech card, especially if you add Selene too. I'll probably try to find some room in the main deck for Peritrator. It's good to get revitalization online, plus it gives you 3 lvl-1s in the maindeck so you can tech in Jack-in-the-hand. Sucks the Maxx "c" tax cuts the deck room so much. I use that space in the TCG for some Solemns and Compulsory's and a second Manifestation.

VR is the logical choice, an AR Yugioh game would be moronic. "B-but's it's like this in the animu!!" is literally the only argument AR has going for itself in this case.
VR at least allows for more consistent artstyle and allows people to use anime avatars so that you don't have to look at the fat loser you're playing against.
AR is a lot simpler, and easier to get people to buy into. Especially since it's getting easier to just have the software recognize the art on the card, rather than rely on NFC, so you could just use the cards as you always do, and simply design 3D models and effects, something you'd need to do for VR anyway.
The whole point of AR is that it's mixing reality with a virtual space. VR is just a lane enclosed experience. It's also really fricking stupid of the not for capitalize on that, as someone is eventually going to come along, and design an AR TCG for spacial computers, that you can also just play as a regular TTTCG, where your physical collection lines up with your digital one for online play. That's, imo, the next big thing for TCGs, mark my words. Yu-Gi-Oh promised that shit ages ago, and now the tech is properly arriving. As spacial computers become more ubiquitous, it's going to happen.

Lab is the most honest deck there is right now. It doesn't have 1-card combos and all cards have real drawbacks and limitations.
It snowballs really easily, but often a single Ash Blossom or Raigeki/Harpie's Feather shuts it down completely. It cannot compete against Branded, Spright or even P.U.N.K./Gold Pride of they go first since they can simply wait until Lab runs out of resources while they get more for free, and it can't do anything against stun decks. Also it has a hard time snowballing if it goes second.

They have so much recursion and are so versatile like they just cover every weakness they have. Intact my aswell read negate a monster effect destroy it and then you cant lose this turn.. they also have trap cards that can remove monsters that are immune to trap card effects that they can just pull right from their deck and use instantly due to trap trick or lab effects.
Even cards like duster dont do much to these decks because they just active all their crazy effects before they are destroyed and/or just activate all their GY effects. Are we st point where we need a card that banishes all set cards that players cant react to?

There's tons when it comes to shuffling. People stacking their deck is the most common. It's why Tears always got perfect mills in paper.
There's actually a guide on YT for how to spot and avoid cheating when people shuffle, as it's a fairly easy slight of hand that also bypasses cutting. Pretty much the only way to avoid it is to shuffle their deck yourself when doing the cut. Which, given how much Yu-Gi-Oh searches, would be extremely time consuming.
It's also why BO3 would flop hardcore in MD, where you'd still have a roughly 30% chance of drawing your side deck cards, whereas in paper, especially the OCG chinks will run a one off side deck card, and somehow managed to magically draw it during round 2 or whatever.
There's also Rules sharking, and people intentionally wasting time in order to abuse timeout rules, etc....
Paper is pretty much 90% cheating in some way, and 10% actually playing the card game. TCG and OCG.

Back shuffling is a big one, where you shuffle the cards at an angle where you can see the order they're falling in. If you have a deck handy, do some riffle shuffles while the deck is at like a 70 degree angle face up and you'll see what I mean.

Labrynth is more of a floodgate than a control deck. Naturia Runick is more expensive but more fun to play
Lab isn't a floodgate deck, it has good synergy with some of them like D barrier but the engine itself is interruption based and you can easily hit M1 with 0 floodgates on your list.

You should try playing the decks you opine about sometimes.
I do play sky strikers. It's not good in the current meta. In the first place because you're always going second, SHS (most played deck right now) is an instant loss if you don't open droll or maxx c.
Secondly, droll (70-something % usage rate right now) stops shizuku, prevents you from using engage multiple times, and kills the best going second card you have (thrust).
Yes, the other stuff being played right now is not any more problematic than it was in the past (branded, VS, lab, etc.) but SHS and droll alone make climbing with strikers a horribly obnoxious gamble. Get lucky and don't encounter them? You can go on a win streak. See them? Game over. It's not at all like previous seasons where as long as you didn't frick up you were consistently able to win games.
