Lab is so cringe compared to eldlich and barely even has any traps. Lab is only like 1/3rd traps and plays a million handtraps (gay), while my eldlich deck was 2 eldlich, some lava golems, and every fricking purple card that is even remotely playable.

I started today. Anons in the last thread helped me build my blue-eyes deck. I am very grateful. No I'm working on building Swordsoul for the other event. The game is very tough but I feel accomplished when I win.

When I realized that you cannot have 2 unless you play meta, I simply stopped playing.
And even the world championship replays showed that you can still lose because of how sustainable meta decks are once they go first. There's nothing you can do to stop it.
This will just boil down to "draw the out" then and everyone playing the same cards which is already the case. A much simpler solution would be shorter turns. W/e the other guy is playing, they won't be able to build a "I win" board in 30 seconds, so you will still have a chance.

Between mining, small world, and the three copies of defenser you basically always have him as your normal summon. If you don't then you probably opened up with all handtraps and 1 circular or some shit anyway in which case you don't need conflict anyway.
What do you going second? I turned my deck into a going second deck, because it's so much easier breaking boards, instead of getting all my shit negated and having to settle for a garbage 1st turn play.

Play through whatever negates your opponent set up with your 15 extenders and then go update jammer into acesscode or terahertz 11000 atk otk. Literally that's it. I run the lightning kaiju since he can be searched easily through small world (and can be used to search circular if you open with him going first) for the occasional problem monster like arise heart and red reboot (frick stun trannies) but literally no other going second cards except handtraps.
If it would be laggy on your phone, then maybe short combo/control decks like swordsoul, traptrix, lab or exosister (very expensive). You could also play stun(please dont.)

When the frick does Lab ever do that? It's send shit from hand, set 1, send more shit from hand and use the trap on your turn, summon a monster, then activate its effect and get another, which lets you summon it, set more traps and so on.

Toggle off also works if you have chainables you don't want to chain, because it eats into your clock to have to check after every open state or activation. Your clock ends up going down faster than the turn 1 player which is why when Dragon Link etc. makes giant boards you the turn 2 player run out of time instead of them.

You don’t need the link 1 search to resolve most of the time anyways. Having gazelle dump hit usually would matter more since you don’t have another way to get the traps (yet), but like any name should let you keep going if you don’t get sanctuary. You actually want it to get ashed over something like bufferlo which is why you chain block with it.

Look, take deckbuilding as a pipeline: now we just got Snake Eyes/Diabellstarr which plays real fricking well with future fire decks which means is a solid base for at least a year. The extra deckof Snake Eyes is fill with generic good Link monsters which means if you feel the itch to play Link down the line, you already got the basics set.

If there is shit you want in them, they are no different from a selection pack other than only unlocking temporarily. You can reunlock them by crafting an SR card or higher from them.

Competent Exodia decks are UR and SR intensive. Final Countdown is incredibly cheap if you got it free.

Quasar yes. Blazar, I'd argue no. Quasar is just a generic Omni negate with a double attacking option. Shooting Majestic is now a better Quasar because he has guaranteed 3 Attacks if you use ASSD. If you Book of Moon Quasar or use Crimson Dragon to summon him, he only has 1 attack.
Blazar's negation is moronicly broken if he's generic. Imagine having 3 Blazars on field. That's 3 Solemn Judgements. Baronne is a HOPT so you can't just put 3 of her on the field and sleep.
Finally another Cosmic Blazar enjoyer. One of my favorite boss monsters. The fact that it banishes and returns itself for cost makes it extremely hard to actually interact with. Also no OPT so you can double negate if you have Glaive Blaster.
Too bad there's no point in using him with Calamity around.
Glaive Blaster is also pointless if you can't cheat him out with Crimson Dragon. Might as well make 2 Blazars over 1 each.

It's only good in a hypothetical grind game where you resolve it every turn. Leaving the field is actually bad because it leaves you open to an OTK. Most Synchro combo that can make Blazar have zero recycling so they cannot handle OTKs or recovering from a broken board.
What makes Baronne moronic is even if you force out the negate, and steal Baronne so clear for an OTK, she can't use it again because it's a hard once per copy on the field. It's stupidly overtuned with limited ways the opponent can interact with it except to burn cards.

There are other good Level 10s that might be situationally better. Chaos Angel, Chengying, Dis Pater, Aegerine have their uses, enough that you won't be running double Baronne in your ED.
But theres no point in making anything of other levels except to extend into that Level 10 pool. No level 9 or 12 has all of >protection >removal >floodgate/OTK/float

Depends heavily on what deck you’re using. Metaphys are near unplayable due to coding in MD.
Most Metaphys monsters have an effect that triggers on the standby phase of the next turn they are banished and only one of them is HOPT. So IRL you get to activate all that you have one after the other in whatever order you see fit, it doesn’t generate chain but it has to be one, end of chain, then the next, end of chain and so forth. In master duels you have to activate all your Nephthys, then all your Daedalus, then all your Tyrants and then a Decoy if you have it. This affects the deck in huge ways.

That's not a thing anymore. They fixed how End Phase/Standby Phase effects work a long time ago. Now you can do the Shizuku/Multirole thing in Striker and everything.

I was kinda forced to eat up the effect and then go straight into my battle phase because I had already declared I was ending the main phase so I was wondering how to do it like in MD where I can just continue my turn before attacking.

In IRL it works exactly like in Master Duel.
For the Main Phase to end both players need to pass priority in a row. If you pass priority and your opponent decides to use Veiler, now you have to pass priority again and your opponent needs to pass priority again. Until this happens it's still the Main Phase.

Damn. This is the 5th confusing ruling I've had to clear up IRL and that was my first day! I entered a local tournament but I think this was the only other instance that affected me. The others just seemed to be confusion which we resolved mid-game.

I was also confused about another ruling vs the Lab. He activated furtniture effects on the field under Skill Drain. Is this possible? I know Ecclesia and Pathfinder work around field negation since they tribute themselves for cost but the furniture read as SEND and not tribute like Path or Ecclesia.
All in all it was fun though I went 1W-5L vs Lab, Runick and Fire King Snake Eyes. I learned a lot but I think since I've mostly played on a simulator, I don't properly think about the game mechanics as much as I should.

You can draw twice with runick fountain if you place a second one. Its not HOPT.
So if you open it or with tip and play it, draw after casting whatever, then hugin to grab another, you get to draw again.
Its why the limit to 1 hurts the deck so much.

As much as I basically have everything needed to play every variation of snake eyes right now (infernobles, tg, rescue), I just dont feel like playing something which loses to maxx c. Just normal summon razen, summon rock, set 3 is still good enough against most decks. What can snake eyes do if they get maxx c'd?

well, every deck has a ceiling. Sadly DM doesnt really has many consistent methods to turbo out 7s or anything, the whole package really only facilitates that one play.

I wrote a program to read the atlas and json, and I understand how the "bones" are placed, but I still don't know how these c**ts are placing the images themselves.
I took U.A. Playmaker and removed a lot from his json and atlas (arms, ball, shine effect, all animations) and nothing much is left, but I still don't get it.

You guys have any tips for using Labrynth Archfiend aside from "don't use her?" I think the card looks neat and like using it but am having trouble getting the traps that she sets to do much.
lab archfiend was used before silver lady came out
the main issue with archfiend is that he can only set battle traps unlike silver which can set every trap
Yeah, I haven't managed to come up with any of those traps that actually land very often. Farewelcome never really seems to accomplish what I want it to, and the only other trap I've tried so far is Blazing Mirror Force which works sometimes but isn't very consistent.
I seem to get more use out of Archfiend by just using her to bait some kind of removal from the opponent. They don't like seeing that ATK number increase, I've noticed.
They are obnoxious going first like every other deck, going second you can play through a couple things with a good hand but more likely than not you need to draw an out.
Can do stupid shit like double einhertblair into UDF so your opponent gets hand ripped twice while you sit on your field and UDF like a real prick.
Harr has some of the best field presence of any boss which I like.
Aren't their monsters splashable in other decks? I've only seen Mardel in plant decks, and Harr is a dark spellcaster he can't be that hard to bring out.
Mardel yes, Harr not so much. His SEND might still be useful but you can't use his omni without backup, easiest way to summon him would be something like selene which isn't worth the effort.
Generaider is more or less a pure deck, I read you can play them with runick once they get the horse, funny to imagine runick without fountain though.

1) you have to know nibiru lines most people play 3 so getting a negate on 5 summons is important
2) games 2 & 3 people play floodgates like anti spell since they know they’re going first so sometimes stuff like cosmic cyclone is a good side deck card
3) deck builds are usually more about consistency than power since you need to win two games in a row

This is mostly why I'm so interested in playing it IRL as well. I get why Master Duel doesn't have a ranked best of three format, but it is my preferred way to play these kinds of games, best of three with side decks.

I already blew a little bit of money on the cardboard. 😡 I've got a lot of staples already from the Rarity Collection, bought three of the Fire Kings structures and snagged three Traptrix structures as well since they were like six bucks. I played Magic when I was younger but decided to get into paper YGO specifically because it seems cheaper to play decks that I like in this game than in Magic.
everything is automated in MD so you will have to pay attention to card interactions if you want to learn what a deck does
but on the other hand its easier to learn a deck since every is automated

When I realized that you cannot have 2 unless you play meta, I simply stopped playing.

Mathmech is probably the easiest matchup up for Snake Eyes. You normal Ash and search Kurikara and your entire board is gone in an instant.

Between mining, small world, and the three copies of defenser you basically always have him as your normal summon. If you don't then you probably opened up with all handtraps and 1 circular or some shit anyway in which case you don't need conflict anyway.
What do you going second? I turned my deck into a going second deck, because it's so much easier breaking boards, instead of getting all my shit negated and having to settle for a garbage 1st turn play.
Play through whatever negates your opponent set up with your 15 extenders and then go update jammer into acesscode or terahertz 11000 atk otk. Literally that's it. I run the lightning kaiju since he can be searched easily through small world (and can be used to search circular if you open with him going first) for the occasional problem monster like arise heart and red reboot (frick stun trannies) but literally no other going second cards except handtraps.

The recursion only works if the opponent does absolutely nothing to interrupt your plays. Hell, even if they have Dragon Knight, it feels like most decks will be able to run over it.

Craft one Baronne and possibly one Protoss and play the freebee swordso deck. buy all of the bundles in special section with staples like imperm and ash blossom then craft the rest. Buy the Snake Eyes and Superheavy Samurai packs
D/D/D almost always playable in any event. You will not regret building them.

Maybe he set the toggle thing to off. I'll do that sometimes, on the off chance I can make my opponent think I don't have anything.
Toggle off also works if you have chainables you don't want to chain, because it eats into your clock to have to check after every open state or activation. Your clock ends up going down faster than the turn 1 player which is why when Dragon Link etc. makes giant boards you the turn 2 player run out of time instead of them.

Having gazelle dump hit usually would matter more since you don’t have another way to get the traps (yet), but like any name should let you keep going if you don’t get sanctuary. You actually want it to get ashed over something like bufferlo which is why you chain block with it.

Rev Synchron, Rescue Cat,Orochi and Zelantis.
Infernoble is pretty cheap to build (only 5-7 URs iirc) so you can think of keeping both Charles.
Other than that I'd for sure keep Power Tool Synchron, Crimson Dragon. Orochi and Lady of Lament are good cards too but depends on what you want to play. Alucard might be a good-ish rank 3 to pop S-T, the World Sea fish serpent or whatever is a good card too

If there is shit you want in them, they are no different from a selection pack other than only unlocking temporarily. You can reunlock them by crafting an SR card or higher from them.

Even if Blazar and Quasar were cheaper to make, they're still worse than Chengying/PEP. Their only form of protection/disruption is tied into their negates. They can't stop crippling continuous effects like Bagooska, Tri-Heart or Chengying. For all that investment you have a glorified Baronne who can't clear an established field outside of battle.

Quasar yes. Blazar, I'd argue no. Quasar is just a generic Omni negate with a double attacking option. Shooting Majestic is now a better Quasar because he has guaranteed 3 Attacks if you use ASSD. If you Book of Moon Quasar or use Crimson Dragon to summon him, he only has 1 attack.
Blazar's negation is moronicly broken if he's generic. Imagine having 3 Blazars on field. That's 3 Solemn Judgements. Baronne is a HOPT so you can't just put 3 of her on the field and sleep.
Finally another Cosmic Blazar enjoyer. One of my favorite boss monsters. The fact that it banishes and returns itself for cost makes it extremely hard to actually interact with. Also no OPT so you can double negate if you have Glaive Blaster.
Too bad there's no point in using him with Calamity around.
Glaive Blaster is also pointless if you can't cheat him out with Crimson Dragon. Might as well make 2 Blazars over 1 each.

It's only good in a hypothetical grind game where you resolve it every turn. Leaving the field is actually bad because it leaves you open to an OTK. Most Synchro combo that can make Blazar have zero recycling so they cannot handle OTKs or recovering from a broken board.
What makes Baronne moronic is even if you force out the negate, and steal Baronne so clear for an OTK, she can't use it again because it's a hard once per copy on the field. It's stupidly overtuned with limited ways the opponent can interact with it except to burn cards.

Depends heavily on what deck you’re using. Metaphys are near unplayable due to coding in MD.

Most Metaphys monsters have an effect that triggers on the standby phase of the next turn they are banished and only one of them is HOPT. So IRL you get to activate all that you have one after the other in whatever order you see fit, it doesn’t generate chain but it has to be one, end of chain, then the next, end of chain and so forth. In master duels you have to activate all your Nephthys, then all your Daedalus, then all your Tyrants and then a Decoy if you have it. This affects the deck in huge ways.
Are you sure you're doing it right? I don't play Nepthys but Weather Painters have the same kinda effect and I've never had an issue

That's not a thing anymore. They fixed how End Phase/Standby Phase effects work a long time ago. Now you can do the Shizuku/Multirole thing in Striker and everything.
I have a question regarding end of battle phase and end phase. If I click go to battle phase and my opponent activates any main phase exclusive effect such as veiler or nibiru, I will get the prompt to continue my turn. How does this resolve IRL? I was kinda forced to eat up the effect and then go straight into my battle phase because I had already declared I was ending the main phase so I was wondering how to do it like in MD where I can just continue my turn before attacking.
In IRL it works exactly like in Master Duel.
For the Main Phase to end both players need to pass priority in a row. If you pass priority and your opponent decides to use Veiler, now you have to pass priority again and your opponent needs to pass priority again. Until this happens it's still the Main Phase.
Damn. This is the 5th confusing ruling I've had to clear up IRL and that was my first day! I entered a local tournament but I think this was the only other instance that affected me. The others just seemed to be confusion which we resolved mid-game.

I was also confused about another ruling vs the Lab. He activated furtniture effects on the field under Skill Drain. Is this possible? I know Ecclesia and Pathfinder work around field negation since they tribute themselves for cost but the furniture read as SEND and not tribute like Path or Ecclesia.
All in all it was fun though I went 1W-5L vs Lab, Runick and Fire King Snake Eyes. I learned a lot but I think since I've mostly played on a simulator, I don't properly think about the game mechanics as much as I should.

They can play around it, but its still pretty good and reduces their endboard.
If they open ash they can just go to flamberge and set your abyss, then summon it back on their side to use its effect against you.

It’s not an especially expensive deck to build (assuming you have the Diabellestar package for just general utility amongst many decks) and it’s competent enough but there’s better synchro vomit decks. If you’re a 5D’s chad though then you need a CLEAR MIND COME ON! DELTA ACCEL SYNCHRO!

I wrote a program to read the atlas and json, and I understand how the "bones" are placed, but I still don't know how these c**ts are placing the images themselves.
I took U.A. Playmaker and removed a lot from his json and atlas (arms, ball, shine effect, all animations) and nothing much is left, but I still don't get it.

You guys have any tips for using Labrynth Archfiend aside from "don't use her?" I think the card looks neat and like using it but am having trouble getting the traps that she sets to do much.
lab archfiend was used before silver lady came out
the main issue with archfiend is that he can only set battle traps unlike silver which can set every trap
Yeah, I haven't managed to come up with any of those traps that actually land very often. Farewelcome never really seems to accomplish what I want it to, and the only other trap I've tried so far is Blazing Mirror Force which works sometimes but isn't very consistent.
I seem to get more use out of Archfiend by just using her to bait some kind of removal from the opponent. They don't like seeing that ATK number increase, I've noticed.
I think Jelly Cannon is one of the better cards for Lab Archfiend

Aren't their monsters splashable in other decks? I've only seen Mardel in plant decks, and Harr is a dark spellcaster he can't be that hard to bring out.
Mardel yes, Harr not so much. His SEND might still be useful but you can't use his omni without backup, easiest way to summon him would be something like selene which isn't worth the effort.
Generaider is more or less a pure deck, I read you can play them with runick once they get the horse, funny to imagine runick without fountain though.

1) you have to know nibiru lines most people play 3 so getting a negate on 5 summons is important
2) games 2 & 3 people play floodgates like anti spell since they know they’re going first so sometimes stuff like cosmic cyclone is a good side deck card
3) deck builds are usually more about consistency than power since you need to win two games in a row

This is mostly why I'm so interested in playing it IRL as well. I get why Master Duel doesn't have a ranked best of three format, but it is my preferred way to play these kinds of games, best of three with side decks.

I already blew a little bit of money on the cardboard. 😡 I've got a lot of staples already from the Rarity Collection, bought three of the Fire Kings structures and snagged three Traptrix structures as well since they were like six bucks. I played Magic when I was younger but decided to get into paper YGO specifically because it seems cheaper to play decks that I like in this game than in Magic.
everything is automated in MD so you will have to pay attention to card interactions if you want to learn what a deck does
but on the other hand its easier to learn a deck since every is automated
Am I better off dusting my unused URs now to get the ones I need for my decks, or should I keep them on the off chance I want them some day?
