That said, you're resistant to droll and maxx, which is very good. Ash can ruin your day, but that doesn't stop people from playing branded anyway, so you do you.

Anyone else feel snake-eyes is extremely overrated? You hit them with 2 hand traps and they fold. But even if you let them go full combo most of the time they just end with baronne and i:p into apollo + princess in the gy. Not particularly hard to play around and if you set up a few negates you’ll win even with their ability to recover. Or if you just called by flamberge they can’t do shit next turn.

Its endboards tend not to be overly oppressive, but it more than makes up for it in terms of consistency and recursion. That said, if you're playing something that can overwhelm it, it's an easy win.
It's an extremely obnoxious deck simply because it has Branded-tier recursion. Oak and TOSE mean you're realistically seeing Poplar resolve 6 times a duel, which is dumb as shit for a 40 card deck
The endboard doesn’t have that many interactions, but unless they OTK you through 5 bodies and a linkuriboh, you have insane follow up next turn. You need to set up negates + clear everything which most decks can’t do. I did set up calamity lock vs one for t3 though and he just timerstalled me for a minute before disconnecting lol.

I posted one I worked on and it had a 5k Acesscode, Borrel equipped with Selene, Vicemaster, Verre, Haine, magicains left hand, and no spells in hand but one in grave to retrieve with vice master. I don't know if this is the best and I've had more luck with tear/ witchcrafter but it's hard labbing it because the deck doesn't feel done yet.
Braindeadtards have been downplaying their deck literally since Swordsoul came out in MD. It's been 3 years since it came out IRL and they'll endlessly defend their slop as a fun rogue deck.
What's the problem moron? Swordsoul is weak as shit. 90% of their wins are the generic none engine they run. They don't even have protoss in this event, and that's the sole reason the deck is even viable.
Swordsoul actually have multiple ways of removing it. Either with hard synchro into Yazi or Baxia, or Tenyi synchro into Baxia, Circle tribute into Vishuda, or circle tribute into Metaphys Ragnarok for a level 4 tuner into Baxia
I am using the provided decks for the events. I am hoping for mostly suicide decks but when I do have to play, are there any guides on plays or combos with these decks? I really don't want to buy cards for these events but, for example, stuff like harpies has so many new cards I have no idea what I am doing. Youtube has failed me in this regard.
I started winning almost every game against lab troons when I stopped ashing their maxx c, and started exclusively ashing only big welcome. Take the maxx c challenge, don't waste your ash on maxx c if they have a backrow.

The empen is face down banished. Which means he can't floodgate you anymore. Toucan can't retrieve it. All of the other empen searches don't really do anything on their own.

The only thing that reliably means anything is rainbow packs having a UR in them. You can have a normal pack upgrade to gold and then get max lightning bolts and Utopia Future Slash comes in and cuts open the pack for you then get nothing but N/R with no new cards and no foils.
UCT is a Book of Eclipse, they can summon Pankratops on turn 1, and the Dolkka is a non-OPT monster negate while Laggia is a spell/trap/summon negate. Also Misc is quick effect to stop your board breaking effects, and there's no locks so they can just summon Baronne or IP or whatever.

It basically lets me Accel Synchro MULTIPLE times (Striker isn't HOPT) on the opponent's turn. Cosmic Blazar/Calmaity summon then spright elf summon Strike again which synchro into the revived Sea Archive again to Synchro into Over Dragonar again to mass synchro revive all over again.

Fenrir+Unicorn on a format where people aren't running doubles of every important extra deck monster anymore goes a long way, especially with 3 shifters.
3v3s are also kind of different environments despite being a YCS but yeah the results are interesting. We'll have to see if this holds up, since it's the very beginning of the format.
It's split. People who play competitively, routinely travel to different major events, will say it's great. From their perspective, having fewer decks to side against and knowing what you're going to play against makes the game more chess-like and skill based.
From the perspective of a casual player, or someone who only plays at their locals, it's shit since it's the same thing game in and game out with such a vast chasm of deck power of meta vs their pet decks that it saps all their fun out.
It really depends on how you play. At the moment, the community's more bent out about how expensive these two decks are than anything else. I think it's because fire king is just plain fun to play, and runs decently well on a budget with tri-brigade or dogmatika. But even still, budget vs all out investment is like night and day.
Do you think the reason we got the full diabellstar package now is so konami will ban and limit the hell out of it when the rescue ace and fire kings support get added?
We got it early so MD would match up closer to TCG/OCG metas. One of the big shareholder complaints was MD not getting new players to join the OCG physical game.

Expect the e-girl, the bat and a new boss monster with lovely and the knight in it, because releasing a standalone knight card to counter the entire deck would be kind of dumb, and the cards all but imply that the real treasure of the castle is lovely herself, and she's infatuated with the knight.

I'm looking up some lists and you also need a one for one and 3 nibiru apparently, i only have the one from the bundle. I'm gonna pass on this deck and focus on getting something more important: 3 feet ash.
You should try to spend gems on packs that have the highest chance of giving you good URs. If all you want is Bellstar then that's a 1/13 chance for each UR to be a good one. Just craft, even if you want 3 copies. Getting more value out of your gems is how you end up with fewer cards needed to craft in the long run.

no reason to downplay swordsoul anymore now that it'll never get hit again
The more negates and the bigger the board you put up, the more value one gets from resolving a breaker. Especially for Synchro decks that have limited gas and no recycling.
Baronne+Chixiao+Blackout+Handtraps is the perfect midrange setup, it gives you 4+ interactions with gas in the tank and cucks most of the value out of breakers.

seems more like you guys don't know anything beyond Chixiao Baronne pass. Swordsouly Tenyi have vastly different ceilings in terms of endboard with just the standard list
I know all about Swordsoul lines, as a matter of fact I had to tell all the morons when Swordsoul was first out who thought it was some braindead linear deck that they were wrong. But even with all the lines Swordsoul has, the deck has aged badly and gotten no new support. It's not a competitive deck, at all.
I know, Swordsoul's problem is inconsistent recursion (the theme of modern decks is automatic recursion), the various effects that starts a chain, main deck monsters that that doesn't doesn't provide an immediate threat without being vulnerable to disruptions.
More extra deck searchers would be nice too.

Salads are surprisingly competent if you can go fist. Solemn Scolding is the only solemn legal in this event, so roar protecting scolding kills every single Synchro or Link deck.
I also ran Scolding in Swordsoul, made PEP and Synchron couldn't out it.

I had decent success with Salad going 2nd too, just because endboards are weaker than ladder and you can often have enough gas in hand to just play cards through each negate and come out the other side with something resembling a board

I beat a swordsoul player with the Dragunity loaner. to be fair his endboard turn 1 was the level 10 3k that react-banishes and weakens and two Imperms. he had me for two turns but eventually Dragon Ravine allowed me to get Dux and that was all I needed to get to the level10's and turn the tables.

It's good, but it's not Tier 1. Furniture semi limits hurt your ability to search game-ending traps turn 1, so that's a thing. The Branded match up is hard because your stuff is all dark.
That said, you're resistant to droll and maxx, which is very good. Ash can ruin your day, but that doesn't stop people from playing branded anyway, so you do you.
I think it's in a bit of a dip right now as other good decks come out but Lab hasn't got its new toys yet

But even if you let them go full combo most of the time they just end with baronne and i:p into apollo + princess in the gy. Its endboards tend not to be overly oppressive, but it more than makes up for it in terms of consistency and recursion. That said, if you're playing something that can overwhelm it, it's an easy win.
It's an extremely obnoxious deck simply because it has Branded-tier recursion. Oak and TOSE mean you're realistically seeing Poplar resolve 6 times a duel, which is dumb as shit for a 40 card deck
The endboard doesn’t have that many interactions, but unless they OTK you through 5 bodies and a linkuriboh, you have insane follow up next turn. You need to set up negates + clear everything which most decks can’t do. I did set up calamity lock vs one for t3 though and he just timerstalled me for a minute before disconnecting lol.

What is the strongest witchcrafter endboard?
I posted one I worked on and it had a 5k Acesscode, Borrel equipped with Selene, Vicemaster, Verre, Haine, magicains left hand, and no spells in hand but one in grave to retrieve with vice master. I don't know if this is the best and I've had more luck with tear/ witchcrafter but it's hard labbing it because the deck doesn't feel done yet.

Swordsoul actually have multiple ways of removing it. Either with hard synchro into Yazi or Baxia, or Tenyi synchro into Baxia, Circle tribute into Vishuda, or circle tribute into Metaphys Ragnarok for a level 4 tuner into Baxia
I am using the provided decks for the events. I am hoping for mostly suicide decks but when I do have to play, are there any guides on plays or combos with these decks? The only thing that reliably means anything is rainbow packs having a UR in them. You can have a normal pack upgrade to gold and then get max lightning bolts and Utopia Future Slash comes in and cuts open the pack for you then get nothing but N/R with no new cards and no foils.

UCT is a Book of Eclipse, they can summon Pankratops on turn 1, and the Dolkka is a non-OPT monster negate while Laggia is a spell/trap/summon negate. Also Misc is quick effect to stop your board breaking effects, and there's no locks so they can just summon Baronne or IP or whatever.

I really like the terrortop cherubini sea archiver spright elf play.
It basically lets me Accel Synchro MULTIPLE times (Striker isn't HOPT) on the opponent's turn. Cosmic Blazar/Calmaity summon then spright elf summon Strike again which synchro into the revived Sea Archive again to Synchro into Over Dragonar again to mass synchro revive all over again.

It's split. People who play competitively, routinely travel to different major events, will say it's great. From their perspective, having fewer decks to side against and knowing what you're going to play against makes the game more chess-like and skill based.
From the perspective of a casual player, or someone who only plays at their locals, it's shit since it's the same thing game in and game out with such a vast chasm of deck power of meta vs their pet decks that it saps all their fun out.
It really depends on how you play. At the moment, the community's more bent out about how expensive these two decks are than anything else. I think it's because fire king is just plain fun to play, and runs decently well on a budget with tri-brigade or dogmatika. But even still, budget vs all out investment is like night and day.
What's unhealthy about it? Almost all the decks in it are interactive and fun except Floo.

Because it's the last wave of support, transaction rollback effectively made the third (fourth) welcome trap pointless, so they're cooking up something else. Expect the e-girl, the bat and a new boss monster with lovely and the knight in it, because releasing a standalone knight card to counter the entire deck would be kind of dumb, and the cards all but imply that the real treasure of the castle is lovely herself, and she's infatuated with the knight.
Volcanics got some strong support because of card designers bandwagoning on the fire type trend, its too good of a legacy support, payn eating good.

You should try to spend gems on packs that have the highest chance of giving you good URs. If all you want is Bellstar then that's a 1/13 chance for each UR to be a good one. Just craft, even if you want 3 copies. Getting more value out of your gems is how you end up with fewer cards needed to craft in the long run.

The more negates and the bigger the board you put up, the more value one gets from resolving a breaker. Especially for Synchro decks that have limited gas and no recycling.
Baronne+Chixiao+Blackout+Handtraps is the perfect midrange setup, it gives you 4+ interactions with gas in the tank and cucks most of the value out of breakers.
Chixiao+Baronne with blackout/protos is a sign of a mediocre swordsoul player

I know all about Swordsoul lines, as a matter of fact I had to tell all the morons when Swordsoul was first out who thought it was some braindead linear deck that they were wrong. But even with all the lines Swordsoul has, the deck has aged badly and gotten no new support. It's not a competitive deck, at all.
I know, Swordsoul's problem is inconsistent recursion (the theme of modern decks is automatic recursion), the various effects that starts a chain, main deck monsters that that doesn't doesn't provide an immediate threat without being vulnerable to disruptions.
More extra deck searchers would be nice too.
And of course the only one card combo is emergence for chixiao+berserker
It's everywhere and it's also stronger than all the loaners and most of the Link decks.
Salads are surprisingly competent if you can go fist. Solemn Scolding is the only solemn legal in this event, so roar protecting scolding kills every single Synchro or Link deck.
I also ran Scolding in Swordsoul, made PEP and Synchron couldn't out it.

I had decent success with Salad going 2nd too, just because endboards are weaker than ladder and you can often have enough gas in hand to just play cards through each negate and come out the other side with something resembling a board
