I plan to have all cards be played face down first, then you either press the red button (to register the card as set) or the blue button (to register the card as activated or summoned). All identified cards, their effects, and stats will be projected on the duel table. To read the effect, you press the zone they are in and read the provided text box. Yes, it's a lot to do what you already do, but this is 1 step towards solid vision
I like umi control. It's not very good but I've always thought umi was cool, its very simple to play and has very short turns. If you do play it, make sure to run at least one pacifis since that card alone is a giant moron magnet and can win you games single handedly.
Negate a monster effect and if it does, snatch steal it if it battles. Quick effect if it has at least 1 illusion. Most illusions have a “cannot be destroyed by battle” effect.

Spend half an hour last night trying to win a single game with flower cardian and I literally could not stop getting drolled, nibed, called byd, superpolyd, and drawing all spell cards.
Unchained 3-axis has been doing wonders in this event. Also why are there so much branded and tears players? I didn't think this many people owned the decks.

xyz cards cheat themselves out of nowhere - zoodiacs, zeus, that new armor card, sin eater, utopias, utopic future, downerd, and so on. It bothers me because its never telegraphed. And the mechanic itself is so boring you need cards like theosis, martha, that just streamline combo into linear line that removes any thought process

xyz used to be pretty fun with rank 4 engine and so on, but its mechanic that aged really poorly, as evidenced that they have to resort to making archetypes like purrely to try to spice things up
I don't entirely agree. The fact that they can do things like Purrely does imo highlights a lot of the creative design space that Xyz are allowed to feature. Archetypes like Kashtira need cards like theosis not just because of Xyz but because of other inherent restrictions they have. If it's a rank 4 deck it's one thing but Konami has been trying to expand the Xyz support for less common ranks recently and you can't get a viable rank 7 deck without at cheating the rules a bit. Still thought there's a lot more creativity in the design space for Xyz than other mechanics. Synchro archetypes expecially feel like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel sometimes to try an make the mechanic interesting while adhering to the restrictions of needing a tuner and non-tuner. Like adamancipators gimmick is just lame lol

Lars is an absolute beast, it's a better Laggia. Dinos are pretty good in the event, dolkka + lars is nice...however you will have trouble activating double evo pill without links to provide a non dino

Most decks are based around level 4s now and its pretty fun, but it also means the SHS engine is your most consistent way of getting to your combos, that and running 3 sakitamas along with other jank tech, you want to do your plays as much as possible without committing your normal summon
Its fun though, even if you dont go for the SHS engine, Ive been playing raidraptors and tellarknights and both are alright, I looked at zoo but zoo in this day and age is like 1-2 interactions and PRAYING you have handtraps, so no thanks

The only fun events are the ones that severely limit the power level. Because guess what, competent Yugioh decks are almost always not fun to play against.
We're two years in. Unless you're a total newbie (in which case the loner decks aren't that bad) you should at least have a synchro and fusion deck by now.
That's kind of the problem yeah, it's now low powered enough to let most silly cheap strategies fly but it also promotes all those decks that are hyper specialized into specific summoning types and require a bunch of particular extra deck URs for their archetypes that some people don't have.
Evenly needs to stay at 3, it's the only boardbreaker that is good. Or print lightning storm banish/bounce.

I've always hated Baronne. It's the de facto boss monster of almost any Synchro archetype because an omni, a pop and a tag out with 3k atk is already too strong so any in archetype boss is either going to be just straight up worse or way way harder to summon.
Dinomorphia sucks donkey dick. It's boring and it's deceptively frail, like a single bounce or banish is often times enough to shatter the deck into a thousand pieces. Also the grind game is mediocre. It's like a shittier version of Floowandereeze but we have to pretend it's ok because floow is irrationally nerfed atm.
These events should give you "Event-Only" dust when you win, that can only be used to buy cards for your event deck. That way people could actually try new shit instead of just going "welp, I don't own that, so I guess I'll just play 1 thing all event."

Breaking the rules isn't inherently bad design. If your issue is the lack of a response window because your endboard didn't have that particular instance of interaction, it sounds like you encountered what would be called a bad matchup. You suck it up and move on. Not all decks can cover every matchup.

But to answer your question, Chimera, RDA and Dinos are the best loaners of their respective groups, and good enough to win games. From these 3, I would recommend RDA since if you go first uninterrupted, odds are your opponent will scoop before you finish your turn anyway.
Chimera is more midrange so it might be hard to quickly finish opponents, while Dinos have more unintuitive combos (and aren't as consistent as RDA).
For RDA, you just need to know you main play is 'summon Red Rising Dragon > Revive Crimson resonator' and you are good to go, after that, just summon big dudes and search disruption and you will probably win, assuming you weren't interrupted.
It's my alt account. It only has Floow, Ancient Warriors and a WIP Branded deck. But yeah I think I'll frick with the Crimson King deck like you said. Seems almost useable.

Synchro has Swordsoul structure and Resonator as loaner. Fusion has Chimera and Dark World loaners while high rollers playing gutted Branded and/or Tear. XYZ only viable loaner is Battlin Boxer which dies to any interruption.

I don't entirely agree. The fact that they can do things like Purrely does imo highlights a lot of the creative design space that Xyz are allowed to feature. Archetypes like Kashtira need cards like theosis not just because of Xyz but because of other inherent restrictions they have. If it's a rank 4 deck it's one thing but Konami has been trying to expand the Xyz support for less common ranks recently and you can't get a viable rank 7 deck without at cheating the rules a bit. Still thought there's a lot more creativity in the design space for Xyz than other mechanics. Synchro archetypes expecially feel like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel sometimes to try an make the mechanic interesting while adhering to the restrictions of needing a tuner and non-tuner. Like adamancipators gimmick is just lame lol

Its fun though, even if you dont go for the SHS engine, Ive been playing raidraptors and tellarknights and both are alright, I looked at zoo but zoo in this day and age is like 1-2 interactions and PRAYING you have handtraps, so no thanks

That's kind of the problem yeah, it's now low powered enough to let most silly cheap strategies fly but it also promotes all those decks that are hyper specialized into specific summoning types and require a bunch of particular extra deck URs for their archetypes that some people don't have.
It's optimal to pick synchros so you do not have to face other negateslop go first decks.

Everyone defended Baronne because everyone used her duh.
I've always hated Baronne. It's the de facto boss monster of almost any Synchro archetype because an omni, a pop and a tag out with 3k atk is already too strong so any in archetype boss is either going to be just straight up worse or way way harder to summon.

If your issue is the lack of a response window because your endboard didn't have that particular instance of interaction, it sounds like you encountered what would be called a bad matchup. You suck it up and move on. Not all decks can cover every matchup.

Mogging people with Evenly Matched this event is so funny, going second is really strong with the event's banlist forcing Purrely to the top and most other "strong" decks of the format don't put up alot of spell negates, especially if you're playing synchro since you're not fighting against synchro decks.

Are any of the loaners actually playable? I'm completely broke for this event and I was working on building branded, but it seems like that archetype is heavily hit in the event anyway.

I've heard good things about the chimera loaner but I havent seen one since I'm playing fusion

But to answer your question, Chimera, RDA and Dinos are the best loaners of their respective groups, and good enough to win games. From these 3, I would recommend RDA since if you go first uninterrupted, odds are your opponent will scoop before you finish your turn anyway.
Chimera is more midrange so it might be hard to quickly finish opponents, while Dinos have more unintuitive combos (and aren't as consistent as RDA).
For RDA, you just need to know you main play is 'summon Red Rising Dragon > Revive Crimson resonator' and you are good to go, after that, just summon big dudes and search disruption and you will probably win, assuming you weren't interrupted.
It's my alt account. It only has Floow, Ancient Warriors and a WIP Branded deck. But yeah I think I'll frick with the Crimson King deck like you said. Seems almost useable.
Yeah, the chimera loaner is solid. I've won most of my games, except against kash because I hate kash and will not play against kash. But I've beaten purrly, swordsoul, TG, RDA.

Synchro has Swordsoul structure and Resonator as loaner. Fusion has Chimera and Dark World loaners while high rollers playing gutted Branded and/or Tear. XYZ only viable loaner is Battlin Boxer which dies to any interruption.
