in the first events suiciding gave 50 and winning gave 100, it was still 22 wins to get all gems but also only 44 max games instead of the current 220.

You're understating how bad the first event was for anyone who actually wanted to try completing it by playing the game instead of cheesing suicides. Its rewards capped out at 20k medals. TWO HUNDRED wins to max it out. 32 wins to get most gems. Also you got half points for loaners.

For me it was hiding your suicide strategy so you could trick other suicide decks to suicide against you so you got double points. Honestly I don't think Master Duel looks fantastic and I can do file replacements to change EDO's graphics and sounds, and MDPro has notable lag everywhere from the videos I've seen. You play a level 3 dark non-winged beast monster without 1800 defense/0 ATK (as you want both Bystials and Ash Blossom to bridge into any starter, since a hand with Simoon but no extra name is worthless)
Marionette Mite is played in Maxx c formats because it also bridges the bug
Ash / Ghost Ogre on field + the deck eats shit to nibiru if they get greedy.
Can also hold imperm for harr if you don't want to use it on their search from plant generaider.
Or just hope they draw poorly, that's how I beat most decks.

3 effects on its own is not inherently broken, think of Chengying that has 3 positive effects and all are one-sided, while Baronne also has 3 effects but they synergize way better and are far more disruptive

It's the current best abuser of generic stuff. It's in archetype boss is more of a resource generator than a true boss. I like it but if nothing can reasonably compete, a small hit or two is warranted so long as it doesn't murder their playability and allows it to keep enabling decks like Infernoid, T.G. and whatnot.

You will want to open packs that relate to your deck ("Mother Nature's Snare" Secret Pack if you were building Traptrix for example), but bundles that have a card with them (Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermance) in the Special tab are safe picks
Keep in mind recent archetypes wont have a Secret Pack
Never buy Master Packs alone unless they are in a bundle

Also master duel is 100x more popular so you'd figure master duel + all the cards - all konamis bullshit and you'd think they'd steal some of their players too. Honestly I don't think Master Duel looks fantastic and I can do file replacements to change EDO's graphics and sounds, and MDPro has notable lag everywhere from the videos I've seen. It's probably fine, I use a bunch of chink mods in other games, but no, it's not going to be popular because the normalgays who make up 99% of MD's population don't care about playing Yugioh enough to play a sim anyway, it's just something they do on the train or during a break at work or whatever.
Master Duel is "the official way to play on PC/phones" so even though the other options are better they use this one.

Can also hold imperm for harr if you don't want to use it on their search from plant generaider.
Or just hope they draw poorly, that's how I beat most decks.

Only Spright card I really take issue with is smashers, they do not deserve a banish that doesn't target.
Shit like Elf and Sprind is stupid as well and should have specified spright monsters for their effects but I can live with them in Spright and really only hate seeing them splashed in other decks.
Meh elf will likely be banned just like she is in the card game. I agree about the limiting range though. I think they could have done something like blue eyes where can target any level twos but you need a regular spright monster on the field or in the grave or something.

3 effects on its own is not inherently broken, think of Chengying that has 3 positive effects and all are one-sided, while Baronne also has 3 effects but they synergize way better and are far more disruptive

It's the current best abuser of generic stuff. It's in archetype boss is more of a resource generator than a true boss. I like it but if nothing can reasonably compete, a small hit or two is warranted so long as it doesn't murder their playability and allows it to keep enabling decks like Infernoid, T.G. and whatnot.

New to Master Duel, is there any particular pack I should be opening?
You will want to open packs that relate to your deck ("Mother Nature's Snare" Secret Pack if you were building Traptrix for example), but bundles that have a card with them (Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermance) in the Special tab are safe picks
Keep in mind recent archetypes wont have a Secret Pack
Never buy Master Packs alone unless they are in a bundle
