Super Producer quick plays the Field Spell from deck which changes your opponent's monster's effect to 'destroy a set trap/spell your opponent controls' so you can actually get a use out of all the power powered effects your spells have when popped by the opponent

Was Unchained the most overhyped deck this year? It's 2-card starter brick city except for the three copies of a 1 card NS combo that dies to Ash.

I'm not sure if I would describe Unchained as 'overhyped', but It's probably the deck most deserving of that title.
I know it at least did well in the TCG briefly, but its main relevance right now is as some extra gas in Fiend.dek and OCG Yubel lists.
Honestly I am shocked that people buy all of this Yugioh merch you never hear about, because if they didn't surely other companies wouldn't ask Konami if they can make merch too. And I'm just talking about all the clothes/jewelry merch.

Maxx C is a 2011 card, if anything they'll eventually ban it under the guise of "fixing the meta" and "adressing the single most unpopular card in the game" when really, they want to sell you the new toy. The same may or may not happen with not-Ash, but Maxx C getting hit feels like it's actually about to happen.
I wish they had a ED boss monster. The whole "if a horus card leaves the field by the opponent's card effect" effects feel so useless, when you're just gonna be linking/xyz/synchroing them.

Hopefully at some point someone will realize that I'm not trying to win and let me get off a couple more summons if I XYZ my spare Golknights into Number 85: Crazy Box. I also added in a Traffic Ghost in case I get another cooperative person because he has a summon animation so it's funny

Zealantis is the most important card though. If you find a fellow gemini farmer you can use him to un-gemini both player's fields so you can just pass pack and forth gemini summoning 3 times and then resolving Zealantis every turn.

One of the lifetime missions that they don't show you until you start making progress. Like the Exodia one. If you do 100 gemini summons you get 400 gems. With it being the double summon event now's the best time to do it.
Did he have like Magic Cylinder+2 Dimension Walls that you refused to crash into, or was he too stupid to wait and set 5 at once rather than just throwing every new draw into Ablation?
One was a Dimension Wall, and when I popped cards with Dioxogre or Catalyst Field he had to activate Secret Barrel and some other card early
I also tributed a monster in response to his Ring of Destruction so he got no damage off that. So I was able to do all my summons and then crash into him so that he won with Dimension Wall + Mahaama
I just did 23 turns with a Runick Tear player where he couldn't out my Moon Mirror Shield on the first turn and then I left him at 200 LP and just summoned/destroyed so much shit every turn that I got the destruction clear for the MD Lv10 Proficiency test as well as about 30 Gemini summons. I decked myself out to give him a deck out win since he was a good enough sport to stay there the whole time

it also gets shut down by nibiru (which was extremely meta during the PK / Pranks meta) and ash can end their turn if they dont open the adventure engine

she fricking sucks and does not contribute to their gameplan. youre not going to play her going 2nd for obvious reasons, and youre not going to play her going first because shes meant for long drawn out games as a continuous form of (targeted) removal every turn along with a renewable tribute fodder for rituals as she returns to your hand too, but the removal is at the end phase so its too slow to be useful.
however youre mostly going to be running ceremony, as kagura is rarely ran, so you dont need tribute fodder. shes just a worse ohime on the field since she doesnt have the equip quick effect, and she doesnt have any effect in the hand unlike ohime who can search and set up the graveyard. she pretty much just has the typical mikanko effect, just with a higher level needed to ritual summon her (if you use kagura), and no actually useful other effect.
there really is no reason to run her instead of a seperate mikanko monster, especially since its pretty easy to recycle equips. Arabesque is pretty much her effect, except its a starter, interruption, or extension on an equip that doesnt target and isnt a brick in hand if you have no way to discard it.

How do you normal summon something that is already on the field

Scooping is fine if you're going 2nd and you brick and don't draw an out, its the preferable thing to do when playing bo3 since time is a concern as well as potentially not showing your opponent any of your deck. In master duel there absolutely should be a penalty if you go first and scoop on turn 2. If you can subject your opponent to your 5 minute combo but you can't even be bothered to let them play one full turn then you 100% deserve double rank loss or a 10 minute queue penalty
How shit do you have to be to show up to the meme event with stun, open Jowgen, Barrier Statue, Clockwork, Morganite and Moon Mirror and lose to my dumb gemini deck lmao

All the stories about Gemini decks finding someone that let them grind remind me of the first events of the game that asked for the ridiculous damage and destruction missions that no one was getting easy because people were just scooping. That time I found a Japanese player using amorphages and dark snake syndrome to build a huge damage number, and running that spell that made tokens on both sides of the field. He even gave me one with moon coin and I understood perfectly. That was the longest battle I've had and when he let go of the amorphages we got so much damage I'm sure it covered a lifetime mission too. Wherever you are I hope you find more kind people
yeah I remember the synchro event in 2022 being like that and I ended up having to play cactus fighter loop to get the destroy missions done well after I had all the actual event rewards, was really stupid
I ran into someone who just dropped a bunch of random life gain cards like Solemn Wishes and shit and something that gained them LP when I summoned.
Before pushing I just started slowly accumulating the biggest ATK board I could and summoning over and over and then swinging to bring them back down to 8k before eventually pushing for game.
Hope it helped out their life gain mission a bit.

Everyone knows Imsety and Sarcaphogus are going to be URs. The archetype is Bystial/Fenrir/Unicorn generic in that you add 6 cards to any deck that wants to discard or summon level 8 big bodies.

many of the current decks that use ignition would be way stronger, ie lovely setting traps back during your turn, turbulence/emergency setting s/t during your turn (which would be useable because hydrant exists), ash summoning flamberge, etc...
simply put, going first would be even stronger than it is now.
This is the reason they implemented quick effects…you do can follow these rules and print more cards. A bit sad as my favorite card of all time is exiled force and they never gave him a modern powered up version(no, pankratops is ugly and smelly and doesn’t count)

One of my favorite genres of posts is after someone complains about bricking on double Ash, Called by, double Maxx C(negated by their called by), how someone will unironically say that it's their fault for playing a bricky deck.

I've been wasting gems here and there, so right now I'm back to around 9k and 545 UR dust, funny enough I'm actually running out of SR dust because I keep crafting cards to have more free rolls on the new secret packs. Only Little Knight matters in the next pack, so I'm only crafting one copy and saving my gems for Centurion.
Well sauravis and diviner are UR, so lo and the guardian are probably going to be UR too, the spells will all be SR if we're lucky, but i bet the ritual is going to be UR as well because frick you. And we'll be missing the first wave of support which is the saffira retrain (guaranteed UR) and another spell.

Zefra Metaltron in general, considering it existing implies a relationship between Duel Terminal and the True Draco worlds, and he's also one of those cards Konami retconned into the lore but he still hasn't been depicted doing anything
Metaltron in both universe seems to just be an entity created when multiple factions share their powers together, while the naming convention doesn't make sense in Duel Terminal like it does in True Draco (METALfoes+crysTRON+ XII zoodiacs), in both artworks it is depicted as a warrior using weapons of multiple characters of that universe.
Metaltron is also based on the angel Metatron, so maybe they just thought it'd fit considering the rest of Zefra's themes.
In short Konami just thought that combining forces to make a super soldier was such a cool concept that they decided to reuse it.
They never showed us what happened after sophia got btfo, all we know is that exciton, ariel and the nekroz are ready to kill the goddess again if she ever shows up, it's also obvious they're retconning a lot of shit, everyone thought lara and the lion died protecting pilica and wen but it turns out she actually just got stronger, taller and sexier by fusing with her pet, she also apparently purified a yang zing yet she didn't show up for the final battle against the goddess.

Some of the main pairs I remember from the OCG are: Tear, Orcust, Naturia, Centur-Ion and Chimera. It's currently also used by some Gimmick Puppet decks.
I don't play Chimera so I can't give you an actual answer. I remember a few lists with it, so I looked them up and it seemed to do okay a couple of months ago but it fell off. The release of Nightmare Apprentice and Diabellze seems to have pushed out the Horus package from Chimera.

Helps the deck not cry when their NS searcher gets negated, you can Zombie Vampire and mill some other starter or the fusion spell or you can XYZ a negate with the Horus monsters to protect your NS.

Some of the main pairs I remember from the OCG are: Tear, Orcust, Naturia, Centur-Ion and Chimera. It's currently also used by some Gimmick Puppet decks.
If the cards can activate in the graveyard, can activate by being discarded (darkworld), really need a level 8 to many a synchro (centurion) or you're MEGACOPING because kitkallos got banned and now you have to make zombie vampire and pray, it can run it
I'm sure it could work I just don't know if it's really all that much better, same way for Tearlament and Horus, I don't really feel that it's adding much to Tearlament that it didn't already have or couldn't gain with another engine but it is cool as an option, I love tinkering with decks so I'm all for stuff like Horus / P.U.N.K / Bystial that synergize with lots of decks.
I only really hate the worst offenders of slop like tomahawk and aurodon.

I guess it could be something funky like that but I sincerely doubt it, I'd just try another match before jumping to any conclusions and if it still didn't work afterward I'd double check my eyes and then the mission list, maybe it is there and you overlooked it.
You can finish the entire mission in a single duel if you find someone willing to summon until deckout. I was lucky enough to find a japanese who shared my goal.
The full 100 yesterday, and I had to spend 180 SR dust on the spells I needed. I mean, it was an ok tradeoff for 400 gems, but still, it was an overall miserable experience, way too much meta and stunhomosexualry.
I'm not even doing it with the event, not worth my time for 500 gems or w/e, rather just buy them at the point if I were that hard up.
I mean maybe you'll get lucky and meet someone nice and get the missions done in a hour but you very likely could be slamming against meta deck after meta with them popping your summons just because they can.
Is it just me or does Tenpai would still have a huge issue of losing to itself (compact engine still naturally means bricking issue is more devastating when it happens, and the lack of backup plans when OTK fails), not to mention bof1 is a Double-Edged sword in terms of match ups and non-engine

I was running a Spright hybrid along with Maxx C, Called By, etc to get draws or stop Ash for a while, but I decided to go full in on the Chemicritter trash and spare meme cards in the ED because I feel that starting off with Spright Opening or Blue can freak people out.
Hopefully at some point someone will realize that I'm not trying to win and let me get off a couple more summons if I XYZ my spare Golknights into Number 85: Crazy Box. I also added in a Traffic Ghost in case I get another cooperative person because he has a summon animation so it's funny

I did not use a single SR dust on this shit so only one Dimer Synthesis and Catalyst Field that I already had + 3 Golknights and ROTA to search for it. More vulnerable to Ash but that's the price of being a cheapskate
There's no way around it. It'll be slow no matter what unless you find another farmer. Golknight is good since he can add the field searcher. Gemini Soldier is good since he can help """swarm""" the field. The gemini equip is good because its floating effect helps you get more on the field. If you're trying to win vs starter decks while still maintaining a ton of geminis so you don't accidentally brick on good cards you can add like, Dark Valkyria and Future Samurai lmao.
Zealantis is the most important card though. If you find a fellow gemini farmer you can use him to un-gemini both player's fields so you can just pass pack and forth gemini summoning 3 times and then resolving Zealantis every turn.
Oh shit, I should add Zealantis. Guess I'll ditch the Bagooska since I'm not summoning two Golknights against a tryhard anyway

One of the lifetime missions that they don't show you until you start making progress. Like the Exodia one. If you do 100 gemini summons you get 400 gems. With it being the double summon event now's the best time to do it.

One was a Dimension Wall, and when I popped cards with Dioxogre or Catalyst Field he had to activate Secret Barrel and some other card early
I also tributed a monster in response to his Ring of Destruction so he got no damage off that. So I was able to do all my summons and then crash into him so that he won with Dimension Wall + Mahaama

I just did 23 turns with a Runick Tear player where he couldn't out my Moon Mirror Shield on the first turn and then I left him at 200 LP and just summoned/destroyed so much shit every turn that I got the destruction clear for the MD Lv10 Proficiency test as well as about 30 Gemini summons. I decked myself out to give him a deck out win since he was a good enough sport to stay there the whole time

its less so the ceiling of the deck, but its consistency and recoverability. theyre one of those decks with a ton of 1-card starters
it also gets shut down by nibiru (which was extremely meta during the PK / Pranks meta) and ash can end their turn if they dont open the adventure engine

she fricking sucks and does not contribute to their gameplan. youre not going to play her going 2nd for obvious reasons, and youre not going to play her going first because shes meant for long drawn out games as a continuous form of (targeted) removal every turn along with a renewable tribute fodder for rituals as she returns to your hand too, but the removal is at the end phase so its too slow to be useful.
however youre mostly going to be running ceremony, as kagura is rarely ran, so you dont need tribute fodder. shes just a worse ohime on the field since she doesnt have the equip quick effect, and she doesnt have any effect in the hand unlike ohime who can search and set up the graveyard. she pretty much just has the typical mikanko effect, just with a higher level needed to ritual summon her (if you use kagura), and no actually useful other effect.
there really is no reason to run her instead of a seperate mikanko monster, especially since its pretty easy to recycle equips. Arabesque is pretty much her effect, except its a starter, interruption, or extension on an equip that doesnt target and isnt a brick in hand if you have no way to discard it.

Scooping is fine if you're going 2nd and you brick and don't draw an out, its the preferable thing to do when playing bo3 since time is a concern as well as potentially not showing your opponent any of your deck. In master duel there absolutely should be a penalty if you go first and scoop on turn 2. If you can subject your opponent to your 5 minute combo but you can't even be bothered to let them play one full turn then you 100% deserve double rank loss or a 10 minute queue penalty

All the stories about Gemini decks finding someone that let them grind remind me of the first events of the game that asked for the ridiculous damage and destruction missions that no one was getting easy because people were just scooping. That time I found a Japanese player using amorphages and dark snake syndrome to build a huge damage number, and running that spell that made tokens on both sides of the field. He even gave me one with moon coin and I understood perfectly. That was the longest battle I've had and when he let go of the amorphages we got so much damage I'm sure it covered a lifetime mission too. Wherever you are I hope you find more kind people

many of the current decks that use ignition would be way stronger, ie lovely setting traps back during your turn, turbulence/emergency setting s/t during your turn (which would be useable because hydrant exists), ash summoning flamberge, etc...
simply put, going first would be even stronger than it is now.
This is the reason they implemented quick effects…you do can follow these rules and print more cards. A bit sad as my favorite card of all time is exiled force and they never gave him a modern powered up version(no, pankratops is ugly and smelly and doesn’t count)

It's beginning to see some success now that they have a better boss monster. We need more info from larger tournaments, but they're doing okay at locals. It still has various problems (including a miserable match-up against Yubel) but it's starting to become a real deck.

Zefra Metaltron in general, considering it existing implies a relationship between Duel Terminal and the True Draco worlds, and he's also one of those cards Konami retconned into the lore but he still hasn't been depicted doing anything
Metaltron in both universe seems to just be an entity created when multiple factions share their powers together, while the naming convention doesn't make sense in Duel Terminal like it does in True Draco (METALfoes+crysTRON+ XII zoodiacs), in both artworks it is depicted as a warrior using weapons of multiple characters of that universe.
Metaltron is also based on the angel Metatron, so maybe they just thought it'd fit considering the rest of Zefra's themes.
In short Konami just thought that combining forces to make a super soldier was such a cool concept that they decided to reuse it.
They never showed us what happened after sophia got btfo, all we know is that exciton, ariel and the nekroz are ready to kill the goddess again if she ever shows up, it's also obvious they're retconning a lot of shit, everyone thought lara and the lion died protecting pilica and wen but it turns out she actually just got stronger, taller and sexier by fusing with her pet, she also apparently purified a yang zing yet she didn't show up for the final battle against the goddess.

Some of the main pairs I remember from the OCG are: Tear, Orcust, Naturia, Centur-Ion and Chimera. It's currently also used by some Gimmick Puppet decks.
None of those interest me so I'm gonna more than likely skip.

I don't play Chimera so I can't give you an actual answer. I remember a few lists with it, so I looked them up and it seemed to do okay a couple of months ago but it fell off. The release of Nightmare Apprentice and Diabellze seems to have pushed out the Horus package from Chimera.

Helps the deck not cry when their NS searcher gets negated, you can Zombie Vampire and mill some other starter or the fusion spell or you can XYZ a negate with the Horus monsters to protect your NS.

I'm sure it could work I just don't know if it's really all that much better, same way for Tearlament and Horus, I don't really feel that it's adding much to Tearlament that it didn't already have or couldn't gain with another engine but it is cool as an option, I love tinkering with decks so I'm all for stuff like Horus / P.U.N.K / Bystial that synergize with lots of decks.

The full 100 yesterday, and I had to spend 180 SR dust on the spells I needed. I mean, it was an ok tradeoff for 400 gems, but still, it was an overall miserable experience, way too much meta and stunhomosexualry.

Is it just me or does Tenpai would still have a huge issue of losing to itself (compact engine still naturally means bricking issue is more devastating when it happens, and the lack of backup plans when OTK fails), not to mention bof1 is a Double-Edged sword in terms of match ups and non-engine
