Limiting Big Welcome would be extremely damaging because remember that it can also be banished from the GY to use the bounce effect, so the deck would lose one of its best cards in an instant unless they start packing Labrynth Set-Up, which can be bricky because it needs 2 Lab Spells/Traps to be activated. People calling for Lab hits are just morons.
This, Big Welcome is glue that holds the deck together, without it half of the deck just doesn't function (No furniture recursion, no lovely pop, no Arianne trigger)
Limiting Big Welcome would force the deck to pivot to more generic floodgates or stun.

Lab literally cannot do anything but stall without Lovely or Lady. If you limit Lady and are forced to pitch Lady or Lovely for furniture and get a face full of Bystial wiener, you auto lose. Big Welcome is going to require Cuclock on the field making the play extremely easy to disrupt.

Lab never does this because you only get one Big Welcome effect per turn. Lovely resets it or D-Barrier and that's that, since Welcome sets itself.

What do you even taking about? Yes, you can only use one of the two effects per turn, but having the option to bounce a monster with a trap effect from the GY on any phase is extremely useful, especially when Lovely's no monster response effect can still apply to it, and it also triggers all of the archetype's effects if they're active on the field and GY.
Lab needs to be hit into the ground. I don't care how heavy handed it would be or how it's done. No other deck in the game right now produces more non-games than Lab except maybe Runick stun or just straight stun decks. And it's not just the floodgates it's the engine itself.
So fricking what. A lot of things in this games are telegraphed that are still completely unfair and don't let you play yugioh. Lab is like Drytron, if you don't have the specific out, it might as well be an FTK and you don't get to play at all. By far the most insufferable deck in the game at the moment.

Not really. Just about every deck right now aside from Lab I can actually play the game with back and forth. Lab just plays solitaire and doesn't actually let you play the game. I just fricking love getting handripped, sometimes twice before I can even play a single card and then also have to play into some kind of floodgate or strong removal card also to only get bounced from a trap in the GY that banishes itself for cost

They carried me to DLv17, then I went on a bad streak with bricks and going back and forth between wins and loses, then I switched to Purrely but the duels ended lasting forever to end, so I switched back to Mikanko and I quickly moved to DLv18. They're just very nice to climb this shitheap of an event.
I really doubt that Flame Princess from that ad is some MD exclusive card. It's probably going to be like the Fire King SD and Konami will probably just MD to promote an upcoming OCG set rather than actually add cards faster to MD
Runick Naturia is definitely the most interesting deck in the game right now. I crafted it a few months ago and it's the first deck I haven't regretted making.

There's 2 different stun decks depending on which "Umi" you wanna run, either the Pacifis one or the Legendary Ocean one with the new Kairyu-shin. Both are just alright, bout as good as any other stun deck, Pacifis is super cheap to build, at the very least, can have a perfectly playable one with no URs.
Neither really have any synergie with Ghoti, since they have their own field spell they're meant to use, though I think a runick Ghoti build works better than a pure one anyways.

The absolute state of kashtira. Nibiru specifically seems so bad for them. They can get fricked over it if they go full combo, but at the same time can't play through it like dlink. And if they did resolve it themselves, the rock immediately turns off their own monsters.

Chaos ruler is in a weird spot in dlink right now. It's 'fine' since it lets you search more combo pieces mid combo, and if that sounds win-more to you, that's because it is. Any time you are doing chaos ruler memes you could be just making pisty/triple burst and finishing the combo.
If it gets banned, that just means I can't make hot red anymore, but any game where I can extend far enough to make 5 interactions, I'm already in a winning position anyways.

YGO is fast paced as frick and can pack multiple turns of plays from another game into 2 turns. No mana system. Also, the different color cards aren't like Magic where colors typically have the same kind of wincons or playstyle. Summoning mechanics and archetypes in YGO do whatever the frick they want to. Searchers (tutors in MtG) are also to my knowledge way more common in YGO, and drawing cards is also way more powerful because of no mana system.
If you want to bail on troony the pandering but YGO is too crazy for you, Duel Masters is basically just better MtG. There's fan translations of the official client but good luck finding anyone in the west to play with if you also want to play with actual people.

Ursarctics are /m/ as frick, it's just too bad that they are unplayable garbage. Ursarctic Megapolar is basically a fricking Brave with its own Goldion Crusher, but it's ice. They also have their own battleship. Drytron is also pretty /m/ but it's the exact opposite and formerly top meta cancer (but kind of outdated nowadays). They also have a battleship they sortie from in some space war against the Ursarctics. I don't know what the lore is. Mathmech is actually what you want, just look at the name. It's a good deck, too. Just really fricking boring and linear. In the future there's going to be this archetype called Centurion which is basically gainax references, the deck.

You don't even play Super Poly in every Branded deck let alone every format. Super Poly is ass right now as well. It is a pretty honest card though, I have never outright won a match because of Super Poly.

The level 1 and link 3 look to be decent options for Plantslop decks.
The level 1 can summon Jasmine to get an extra normal and potentially a draw, Laurel to then make Link Jasmine and get a Plant search or Marjoram to go into Sweet Marjoram. Someone will probably figure out a good way to use it.
The link 3 is so easy to climb into to access Aromas it's probably going to do something as well. I can already picture add Blend -> place Humid -> add the new level 1 -> gain 500 -> special from hand -> link climb -> banish spell to fuse for a free body from grave etc.
The more I think about it this is just Plantslop support, pure Aroma is still total ass.

Race produces more link material than it knows what to do with in archetype so the revival+disruption is nice.
That said they already have lines like the Firewall one to make a negate+more, and her fire lock forces you to make her into a link-2 thus wasting material. Probably worth 1 slot though.
I dig it, this could be a great experiment to measure the power creep, this card doesnt stand out too much on MD considering all the good FIRE shit we are missing, but who knows, maybe some turbo autists are already theorycrafting with some obscure deck that can break the card, the idea of a meta deck that can only exists in MD due to its card pool sounds quite interesting
I wonder if this can replace transcode talker in some decks, you still get to climb into accesscode but now if your opponent tries to float or summon in the main phase you can trade one of your FIRE boys for the monster your opponent is trying to block with, on top of adding an extra 2700 to the final blow, I can see salamangreat toying with this card

now that you mention it, the link 2 FIRE pool is quite interesting, elf stands out obviously but there's also Hiita, Sunlight Wolf, Knightmare Phoenix, Proxy F, Sprind, and so on, the card really shines in the GY as another point of interaction

Don't forget flametongue, he recovers a fire monster from the banished pile and protects face-up spell and traps, quite good in infernoids to link climb without going minus
This b***h is exactly what infernoids needed after their new wave of support, when i was testing it i realized that even with other engines to support them (like the chimera fusion or snake-eyes) infernoid flood still was too high of an investment, thus the next best thing would be to try to link climb problem being that almost all link-3s sucked for infernoids (except for maybe Equimax), this one completes the link climb by itself making Flood not a complete waste of resources while going first. Second effect is nice too

It will see play because you can make Amblo with Princess + whatever fire she summons. This gets rid of the fire lock and gives Princess a Fire on board for her gy effect. Even if Amblo misses his revival effect you can still use Amblo gy effect for more disruption and Princess can revive Amblo for free on your next turn.

Yes, you can only use one of the two effects per turn, but having the option to bounce a monster with a trap effect from the GY on any phase is extremely useful, especially when Lovely's no monster response effect can still apply to it, and it also triggers all of the archetype's effects if they're active on the field and GY.

Lab needs to be hit into the ground. I don't care how heavy handed it would be or how it's done. No other deck in the game right now produces more non-games than Lab except maybe Runick stun or just straight stun decks. And it's not just the floodgates it's the engine itself.

They carried me to DLv17, then I went on a bad streak with bricks and going back and forth between wins and loses, then I switched to Purrely but the duels ended lasting forever to end, so I switched back to Mikanko and I quickly moved to DLv18. They're just very nice to climb this shitheap of an event.

There's 2 different stun decks depending on which "Umi" you wanna run, either the Pacifis one or the Legendary Ocean one with the new Kairyu-shin. Both are just alright, bout as good as any other stun deck, Pacifis is super cheap to build, at the very least, can have a perfectly playable one with no URs.
Neither really have any synergie with Ghoti, since they have their own field spell they're meant to use, though I think a runick Ghoti build works better than a pure one anyways.

YGO is fast paced as frick and can pack multiple turns of plays from another game into 2 turns. No mana system. Also, the different color cards aren't like Magic where colors typically have the same kind of wincons or playstyle. Summoning mechanics and archetypes in YGO do whatever the frick they want to. Searchers (tutors in MtG) are also to my knowledge way more common in YGO, and drawing cards is also way more powerful because of no mana system.
If you want to bail on troony the pandering but YGO is too crazy for you, Duel Masters is basically just better MtG. There's fan translations of the official client but good luck finding anyone in the west to play with if you also want to play with actual people.

They also have their own battleship. Drytron is also pretty /m/ but it's the exact opposite and formerly top meta cancer (but kind of outdated nowadays). They also have a battleship they sortie from in some space war against the Ursarctics. I don't know what the lore is. Mathmech is actually what you want, just look at the name. It's a good deck, too. Just really fricking boring and linear. In the future there's going to be this archetype called Centurion which is basically gainax references, the deck.

The level 1 and link 3 look to be decent options for Plantslop decks.
The level 1 can summon Jasmine to get an extra normal and potentially a draw, Laurel to then make Link Jasmine and get a Plant search or Marjoram to go into Sweet Marjoram. Someone will probably figure out a good way to use it.
The link 3 is so easy to climb into to access Aromas it's probably going to do something as well. I can already picture add Blend -> place Humid -> add the new level 1 -> gain 500 -> special from hand -> link climb -> banish spell to fuse for a free body from grave etc.
The more I think about it this is just Plantslop support, pure Aroma is still total ass.

That said they already have lines like the Firewall one to make a negate+more, and her fire lock forces you to make her into a link-2 thus wasting material. Probably worth 1 slot though.
I dig it, this could be a great experiment to measure the power creep, this card doesnt stand out too much on MD considering all the good FIRE shit we are missing, but who knows, maybe some turbo autists are already theorycrafting with some obscure deck that can break the card, the idea of a meta deck that can only exists in MD due to its card pool sounds quite interesting

now that you mention it, the link 2 FIRE pool is quite interesting, elf stands out obviously but there's also Hiita, Sunlight Wolf, Knightmare Phoenix, Proxy F, Sprind, and so on, the card really shines in the GY as another point of interaction
Don't forget flametongue, he recovers a fire monster from the banished pile and protects face-up spell and traps, quite good in infernoids to link climb without going minus

This b***h is exactly what infernoids needed after their new wave of support, when i was testing it i realized that even with other engines to support them (like the chimera fusion or snake-eyes) infernoid flood still was too high of an investment, thus the next best thing would be to try to link climb problem being that almost all link-3s sucked for infernoids (except for maybe Equimax), this one completes the link climb by itself making Flood not a complete waste of resources while going first. Second effect is nice too

Even if the releases were 1-to-1 concurrent MD wouldn't be a paper replacement, there's things you can only get from paper like going to tournaments. Though for the TCG, MD being 6 months ahead would definitely be a draw.
That said it doesn't even need to be exactly in step with the OCG, all we need is to not be so far behind every meta we have is stale as frick. Maybe 6 months behind them and roughly in line with the TCG.

It will see play because you can make Amblo with Princess + whatever fire she summons. This gets rid of the fire lock and gives Princess a Fire on board for her gy effect. Even if Amblo misses his revival effect you can still use Amblo gy effect for more disruption and Princess can revive Amblo for free on your next turn.
No decent deck is using 3 link material just to make her into Amblo and get 1 pop. Amblo's from grave pop is near irrelevant and can be played around.
