It only searches normal Spells/Traps, but it also means that it gives you access to HFD/LS, or to Prep and Hidden Armory if you're in need of them, and considering that Mikanko is an exclusively going second deck and we're approaching Kash meta where they always activate effects in your turn, the card will pretty much always be live.
Not entirely, but I fear a potential brick if I add two copies, so I might just add one and remove one Prep, because so many times I've ended with many copies of Ohime and Prep in my hand.
My opinion is TTT is a brick in mikanko, you don't have much boardbreaker s/t there and most of the time you are relying on your kaiju to pop the opponent's omninegate.

backrow removal is one of mikanko's biggest flaws and thrust fixes that tremendously, allows for effectively 3 extra copies of evenly, hfd, lightning storm (along with the usual boardbreakers like raigeki)

I made a dummy account to play a masochist run and it's pretty fun. A lot of the games you get trounced, but sometimes you eke out a win against some meta shitter deck.
That roughly 1 month period where every Adamancipator deck right before Block Dragon got banned turned into Pachy+Ra Ten turbo so you couldn't go to battle to beat over it was just miserable. I'm convinced this was what finally made Konami ban Block Dragon in Master Duel and it was 100% deserved.
If Noir didn't exist I'd think purrley was pretty cool. Making a card indestructible then beating on them with happy is dope and so is plump being a fat frick eating everything around him. Ending on a tower that's hard for decks to out especially if thrust gets limited so they can't run all those cards specifically to out it and just winning by sitting on it is pretty meh

Because they didn't even summon Ohime? They just unga'd right into their kaiju with regular Mikanko and the sword. It only stops effects of monsters on the field so they still get the search, they literally don't care about D-Barrier from what I can tell unless the only thing they can do is SS her with that quickplay.

I think its worse, because its a lingering effect that can no longer be interacted with after it has been flipped, and in the case of lab it doesnt matter that its temporary if they can recycle it every turn. Its just a super lame way to play an otherwise interesting deck.

Well Lab is an exception to it due to it being one of very few decks that can recycle single turn, single use S/T that were otherwise not played as much because the continuous ones were better.
Normally a single turn floodgate effect like Threatening Roar or D-Shifter is much less oppressive than a card like Gravity Bind or Macro Cosmos simply because the card in question just buys the player some time, assuming they're not playing some strange deck that circumvents normal play like Floo or Lab.

Well it's more because people deem it a Stun deck when typically it does focus more on control. Although to be fair I am slightly biased because a lot of my decks either use Links or simply don't care about the extra deck.

How is a floodgate that can be destroyed worse than a floodgate that can't?
The case tends to be that the one that can be destroyed is usually facing a deck that's only packing a single HFD as their backrow removal and the bulk of said floodgates are so oppressive that they prevent you from summoning something like Knightmare Phoenix to take it out (or they have something like Imperm to stop your desperate attempt to remove it). Your average Stun deck is not going to be OTKing unless it's either a super gas hand or they're playing Umi Stun/Slime Stun (or they just sacked into Gozen with a mono deck) so they're rather have one that stays. But sure, draw that duster my man. Draw away.

Sure, but good luck finding anyone here running 3x Cosmic/Twister to deal with it, and that's not even counting monster based ones like Colossus or Dweller.
Technically you can stop them when they start for most of them, but regardless unless you can bend the rules of normal play like Lab or Floo they're not as oppressive as their continuous counterparts. The removability is practically meaningless because most decks simply have to sack into it the exact same way most decks have to sack into said floodgates to set them in the first place. If someone sets 4 then activates Fragrance, Skill Drain, and gets Boarder or Canceller onto the field with a solemn behind it there's not much you can do. If Umi plops down their TCBOO and Sea Stealth Attack you're basically fricked, good fricking luck removing that if you didn't pack the absolute perfect counter.
For every match you sack into that duster and kill a Stungay, there's two where someone sacked into Called By and stopped a handtrap floodgate.

the floodgate that can't be destroyed only acts for a turn or two, which is only a factor for labrynth, if it weren't for lovely/lady searching/recycling dbarrier, they wouldnt really be a problem, continuous floodgates are permanent and thus much more splashable into decks that can abuse them (see: floo)

batch dismantle just dusts any cards you have 4+ of down to 3
if a card gets banned or limited you can dismantle them for the full 30 cost for about 2 weeks after the banlist.
you can craft cards for 30 points of it's rarity. this is what makes the game so F2P friendly as you can dust your junk/unwanted SR/UR to craft whatever cards you need.
Even Tri-brigade have a spell/trap negate from GY. It is actually used in some variants like Lyrilusc (especially during the 4 element events)

Like what if you need to search arrival to make a triheart? Would you search arrival or twinsaw? You only get one choice outside of natty drawing it.

Not really. Most of what you need is in 2 secret packs, and some of the Rikka stuff is freely obtained from solo gate duels.
The only thing you'll absolutely need to craft are the Therion cards.

Took an example decklist from jesse kotton and converted it to master duel, playing 3 thrust and TTT since the deck is bricky with the banlist hits, also you could cut riseheart down to 1/2 copies or play cards like pot of desires. There is also Tomohawk legal in master duel so i left some spots open in the extra for any links you could throw in like for say access code talker etc. we are playing book and lance for the mirror since you will be playing alot of it.
this should give you an idea of how the deck is built.
you could play a tuners for aurodon line you have space in extra but i think that shits a meme what is good is making tomohawk and using the tokens to make accesscode but there is alot you can do with tomohawk so i left spots in the extra deck open.

I feel like the best way to play it when it had names often was as you mentioned, a sort-of mid-range deck that often just sets sulliek and plays on your opponent's turn. Now you kinda gotta gamba to accomplish anything, since only 2 fusers makes your ceiling and consistency too low without another engine.
i run them with orcust. the milling they can do helps me get a harp live to start playing orcust but the dark lock on orcust prevents me from getting to rulkallos on my own turn so i put a lot more focus into the tear traps.

It's mostly just used in rescue ace right now, because snake-eye lets you get any level 1 fire monster from deck, including the r-ace starter. The diabellestar rota also just gives you a draw 1.

Depends on if you're running other cards that are good with Thrust. I'd max out on Thrust in most cases because then you can afford to cut other cards down to 1. Don't discount running just 3 Thrust, 3 Talents also.

I think its worse, because its a lingering effect that can no longer be interacted with after it has been flipped, and in the case of lab it doesnt matter that its temporary if they can recycle it every turn. Its just a super lame way to play an otherwise interesting deck.
Well Lab is an exception to it due to it being one of very few decks that can recycle single turn, single use S/T that were otherwise not played as much because the continuous ones were better.
Normally a single turn floodgate effect like Threatening Roar or D-Shifter is much less oppressive than a card like Gravity Bind or Macro Cosmos simply because the card in question just buys the player some time, assuming they're not playing some strange deck that circumvents normal play like Floo or Lab.
Yeah thats why my seethe is directed primarily at Lab, Lab players dont like it when you point out that one of their decks primary plays is to flip a floodgate over and over. One upside is at least they dont take a 20 minute turn before floodgating you like fricking vaylantz gigacancer.
Well it's more because people deem it a Stun deck when typically it does focus more on control. Although to be fair I am slightly biased because a lot of my decks either use Links or simply don't care about the extra deck.
The case tends to be that the one that can be destroyed is usually facing a deck that's only packing a single HFD as their backrow removal and the bulk of said floodgates are so oppressive that they prevent you from summoning something like Knightmare Phoenix to take it out (or they have something like Imperm to stop your desperate attempt to remove it). Your average Stun deck is not going to be OTKing unless it's either a super gas hand or they're playing Umi Stun/Slime Stun (or they just sacked into Gozen with a mono deck) so they're rather have one that stays. But sure, draw that duster my man. Draw away.

Sure, but good luck finding anyone here running 3x Cosmic/Twister to deal with it, and that's not even counting monster based ones like Colossus or Dweller.
Technically you can stop them when they start for most of them, but regardless unless you can bend the rules of normal play like Lab or Floo they're not as oppressive as their continuous counterparts. The removability is practically meaningless because most decks simply have to sack into it the exact same way most decks have to sack into said floodgates to set them in the first place. If someone sets 4 then activates Fragrance, Skill Drain, and gets Boarder or Canceller onto the field with a solemn behind it there's not much you can do. If Umi plops down their TCBOO and Sea Stealth Attack you're basically fricked, good fricking luck removing that if you didn't pack the absolute perfect counter.
For every match you sack into that duster and kill a Stungay, there's two where someone sacked into Called By and stopped a handtrap floodgate.

the floodgate that can't be destroyed only acts for a turn or two, which is only a factor for labrynth, if it weren't for lovely/lady searching/recycling dbarrier, they wouldnt really be a problem, continuous floodgates are permanent and thus much more splashable into decks that can abuse them (see: floo)

if a card is glossy you get 15 points and 30 points for a royal finish.
batch dismantle just dusts any cards you have 4+ of down to 3
if a card gets banned or limited you can dismantle them for the full 30 cost for about 2 weeks after the banlist.
you can craft cards for 30 points of it's rarity. this is what makes the game so F2P friendly as you can dust your junk/unwanted SR/UR to craft whatever cards you need.

Full of them? You have 5 monsters that do it and the field spell, at 1 with no terraforming, which can get one of those monsters.
Took an example decklist from jesse kotton and converted it to master duel, playing 3 thrust and TTT since the deck is bricky with the banlist hits, also you could cut riseheart down to 1/2 copies or play cards like pot of desires. There is also Tomohawk legal in master duel so i left some spots open in the extra for any links you could throw in like for say access code talker etc. we are playing book and lance for the mirror since you will be playing alot of it.
this should give you an idea of how the deck is built.

i really want tear to be a pure deck. the way it's supposed to just slowly gain advantage off of activating the traps is really cool but the lack of locks just makes the deck end up being high roll mill nonsense
I feel like the best way to play it when it had names often was as you mentioned, a sort-of mid-range deck that often just sets sulliek and plays on your opponent's turn. Now you kinda gotta gamba to accomplish anything, since only 2 fusers makes your ceiling and consistency too low without another engine.
i run them with orcust. the milling they can do helps me get a harp live to start playing orcust but the dark lock on orcust prevents me from getting to rulkallos on my own turn so i put a lot more focus into the tear traps.

It's mostly just used in rescue ace right now, because snake-eye lets you get any level 1 fire monster from deck, including the r-ace starter. The diabellestar rota also just gives you a draw 1.

Depends on if you're running other cards that are good with Thrust. I'd max out on Thrust in most cases because then you can afford to cut other cards down to 1. Don't discount running just 3 Thrust, 3 Talents also.
