It doesn't really matter because Tears are fundamentally broken in the way no other deck is, as they can do their entire play on your turn. So the usual answer to "what is the strongest deck ubanned" would usually be some kind of FTK via either draw/exodia or hand sniping or instant kill or some kind of combo that ends up on billion negates, except Tear can do their entire 20 minute combo by the time your resolve your first pot of greed.

Better to not let them play at all than to need to react. When you're going to flip Vadis is a little predictable and hurt a lot by having to flip it preemptively due to backrow removal because then they can just battle phase, run over your 800 defense girls, then combo in main phase 2. Martha lets you play without needing to react and you don't care about Shifter affecting you (not a good enough reason to run Macro Cosmos or such though).

silly the opponent only needs 1 monster, you negate your own utopia attack then play double or nothing for 10k damage, you can also use the xyz double damage/skip next battle phase to make it a 20k damage attack, the sushi engine has no trouble getting you 2/3 rank 4's on turn 2, you can alsonuse the rank 5 sushup to turn off whatever effect their monsters have if needed

Swordsoul have combo lines that deals with Nibiru though. And so does Mathmech

I've only ever been nibbed three times and while it fricked my board the second one I did still play to a Crusadia mediocre endboard because of Link Spider.
The other two were playing Traptrix and Rafflesia makes them immune to Nib (triggers Gravedigger from the deck and negates it).

They rarely play around Nib mostly because you need a way to go into Chixiao after the discard. I think using Tenyi to go into Chaofeng is a better play even though it locks you out from summoning Baronne.
If you start with emergence, then chaofeng is a good choice I think.

Was watching dkayed’s most recent leak videos and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the work that he and his team does for the community. As the unofficial messenger for masterduel he catches a lot of the flack and grief people have with the game/developers. Masterduelmeta is an awesome tool that’s clearly had a ton of love and work put into it and I (yugiboomer) couldn’t imagine having been able to get back into modern yugioh without that site. Without him or MDM we would be in the dark about almost everything going on with the game. Konami has been awful about teasing releases and building hype for the game and I appreciate the work that dkayed and the data miners do that provide us with the information Konami should. At the end of the day none of us know him personally and it’s weird how some of you go after his personhood. He’s a person just like you and me and y’all need to keep your grievances relevant to the content if that’s what theyre about. So now that Swordsoul and Branded are in the clear as Spright Runick is going to powercreep both, how do you feel about these two decks? Do you find them more fair than other top tier decks from different metas (Drytron/Virtual World VFD turbo, TOSS format, etc.), or do you still firmly believe that Branded Fusion and Mo Ye need to be limited?
Branded Fusion needs to go. Mo Ye is mostly fine and she's not even the best Swordsoul card in my opinion.
I have seething a hatred of Swordsoul so I can't give a unbiased opinion. Nothing should consistently be able to play through three or more disruptions.
What bothers me the most about my matchups against these two decks is that it feels like unless I OTK them turn 2 they have an insane grind game and consistency that most other decks I have can't compete with.
Branded Fusion should be at 1, they can search it and recycle it so I think thats fair. Not sure what would be an appropriate hit for Swordsoul, but they should have been hit harsher than just Longyuan to 2.

It is, it's just a tough card to play. It's also a crapshoot against Branded since they can go into Chimera and remove Chaos Hunter sometimes, and the card is just useless against Runick.
