The problem for me isn't Empen, it's the "tribute your opponents shit" spell and their easy access to GY removal. Also the recovery from banishment having no cost at all is dumb, a deck that can normal summon constantly should have normal summoning as a trigger for effects like that

I don't really get how they work but some guy I played against summoned a metric shit ton of them who I couldn't even called by or regular banish, but he just slowly and uneventfully died after I put up zombie world even though I was sure he could still use a bunch of his effects to summon more or at least prevent me from expanding my board every turn. Seems like a complicated deck to me.

It is weird that the long awaited Trouble dicky seems bit mediocre? I encountered few Live Twins player at D1, and Trouble dicky doesn't give me meaningful disruption at all even when going second against them
With her they still do the same thing they did before. Just better. They no longer have to "choose" between a pop and a draw, but instead get the draw alongside the pop. And that's fairly significant because of the amount of hand traps they run. But still they're really just getting the one in-engine interruption.
If you're playing a combo deck that is able to set up on them and then shut them down, or an OTK deck then it really doesn't matter that they get an extra send to GY on their second turn and have higher damage potential.
I'm terrified for the day my Kaiju playing ass has to go against this. I already consistently brick against Dark magicians so I know the first time I don't, it's going to happen
I feel like Floo would be tolerable if it either ignored pretty much every graveyard effect in the game or could spam normal summons on your turn or ignore anything that prevents special summoning but not all three at once

They summon about the same as basic Swordsoul. People really lose their shit because they are called normal summons even if the archetype doesn't special summon.
Opponent summoning on your turn always upsets people.
I think tributing enemy cards including spells and wind statue + empen are the biggest strong points.
They are still vulnerable to summon limit, floodgates like skill drain and most going second cards like lighting storm.
People just overexaggerate since Empen stops the Halq combos that everyone is on right now but it's really no worse than any other floodgate deck.
I can deal with the statue and empen, even if it's annoying. Actually, I don't mind if a meta deck shits on Maxx C and links..
Raiza on my turn and sending my cards for cost and infinite recycling and apex avian and D shitter on top of that is moronic.
My biggest problem is how hypocritical the archetype's design philosophy is. I can't think of a single card that grants you an extra normal summon without the "You can only gain this effect once per turn." clause besides fricking Ultimate Offering, and that card is mega-busted. Now, we have an archetype that shits on that idea because birds lmao.

its an additional layer of protection for the meta decks. waste you disruption on the adventure engine they have free reign to do their regular combos. let the adventure engine go through they have 1 omni-negate on them to counter you disruptions
I want to give a try next month and aim to Diamond I now that I have a proper meta deck with Floo, but the five wins to raise rank is what scares me away, it feels like only hyper autists and twitch streamers have the time and patience to deal with so much bullshit at the higher ranks.

Is a big brain deck. Hardly worth it unless you like playing single-player solitaire. You have to be lucky enough to not get ash blossomed or interrupted, not frick up your orders, count the stacks, be fast, lucky, and have a dude dumb enough to waste 10+ min watching you jerking off with cards.

How do you deal with Citadel Machina deck? I tried banishing, but they benefited from it, I tried to just graveyard them, they benefited from it, I tried to floodgate them, but they got free backrow removals, I tried to beat them with a "fair" deck, but they just remove several monsters with one card.
The only thing that works is Ben Kei OTKO, but that is not that fun cause they always just fold.

The only cards that don't have a hard OPT are Fortress and Ruinforce, and that's only on the summoning front. The thing is that on a dedicated Machina deck you can't just spam Ruinforce constantly because you need a really full GY for that, so if your opponent removes Citadel you're out of big options, and since Metalcruncher only searches earth machines it's not good to run more than one on a dedicated Machina deck
Orcusts were literally your adventure engine back before they got gutted. All decks ran it, it was another 5-card single-starter combo that all decks could run and it ended in a semi-tower with negate.

Had a hellish duel against a floo player. Only won because he kept crashing his tiny birds to get them banished/in the hand and then used Solemn Judgement. Couldn't use Dreaming Town either because he had nothing to summon and he probably ran out out of lvl 7 and up monsters anyway.
It feels weird to win a duel where it felt like the opponent was in control most of the time. They say life points don't matter and that they're just a resource but using them recklessly can get you a loss.

I've gotten a lot of use out of Ghost Ogre recently, but if you can only afford one right now, then you might want to go for a one-of like Foolish Burial. Also I'm not sure you should craft TTT, but I have to admit that everytime I've drawn the one copy I got from a random pack in my hand, it's been extremely useful.

You could try making Ghostrick Angel of Mischief but stop stacking Xyz materials when it has 9 so you don't trigger the wincon, then turn it into a 10-material Zeus.
Earth Machine can. You can equip Goliath on both your turn and your opponents turn, you can equip Heavy Forward to him, and you can get three materials under Dingirsu or Earth Slicer with their own effects. You can also hard mad Zeus in main phase one with Harvester and a level 10. Goliath makes it indestructable too.
No, you should be stopping your opponent from getting a boss monster out in the first place with the handtraps that make up half of your deck, assuming you're going second.

The main decks are fine mostly, the problem is the end board.
It's just goodstuff.dek instead with shit like Barronne, Red Archefiend, Crystal Wings, or shit like that since they are much easier to make and have pretty much the same or better pay off than summoning Quasar, Blazar, Shooting Riser
And that bricks like hell compare to making shit with goodstuff.dek synchro instead.
Yeah, it's funny you recycle black wings and used all your ED to make 4 omni negates when you pull it off but that's about it.
They need to make a Synchro that treats itself as 2 2 materials to make Blazar/Quasar/Sifr easier to summon.

That's easy to negate though. The normal Synchrons deck with Baronne/Abyss/Crystal Wing/Herald has a bunch of Plan Bs to play through handtraps and Nibiru. Quasar and Blazar turbo is fun and all but it's easy to counter if you know the deck.

They made it shorter for the no ED festival since there's no ED combos. They should make a 15 second timer festival. If you run out of time in it it would just change turns.
Here's another shitty idea for an event: No graveyard and no banished zone, all cards get send to the bottom of the deck after use and are unavailable for the rest of the turn, after your turn is done shuffle the deck
It turns Eldlich Zombie World from a rogue deck into a meta deck. And it can be used a a fair amount of other decks. I hate Grass, it's nearly an instant win if it resolves for a lot of decks, which just isn't fun to me, but yeah it's good.
I love it when I pick deck archetypes that literally nobody else plays because I see potential in it that, evidently, nobody else does and I win with it.
This shit only wins because people don't read. I only lost when I came back and unga bunga'd and used Ash wherever the first prompt hit, but since then, it's a free win.
Playing Droll in a BO1 format sucks because while it can completely ruin some decks' day, it is entirely useless against others. Meanwhile Ash and Maxx C are generally more useful.
Best of 1. Sometimes it's straight up fricking useless and with Maxx C in place, you have to play Ash, Called By and Nobleman just to stop it. This means Veiler and Imperm are the only other good cards.

Crossout and Called by the Grave are non negotiable, and you should probably make at least one Veiler because it's just nice to have.
Called by, crossout, and droplet are staples you should have for most decks in general. Veiler not so much, but your UR CPs are well spent on cards that can fit into any deck

Nobody runs the Disciple/Devotee combo anymore since it locks you out of Trouble Sunny, so the main way to make IP alongside the Twins/Sunny would be to have Exceed, and you're better off making Bagooska with two Exceeds.

Reasonable considering it's a UR. It's quite fun in Eldlich though since you can still use the full adventure engine + your golden lord while it's in the field so it's not quite as limiting to your own plays as you might think.

I'm kind of addicted to Numerons and Benkei OTG now. I'm still stuck in gold and that's the only reason I'm getting away with it, but I really love how matches now only take 5 minutes instead of 25. I do want to play like, a real deck that's not cheap bullshit though.

Yeah, but a lot of people will stubbornly play through it because they're hoping to draw harpy feather duster or some other effect too. I already have eldlich and some floodgates but... control, floodgates and stun tend to be really slow, you know? If anything, even if I actually do it properly I might surrender myself because they're taking too long. I once did a 14 turn battle against a dragonmaid player who was stuck on 400 LP and just wouldn't die
....That sounds expensive in terms of dust rather than gems, these ED heavy decks always end up eating all of my dust and a lot aren't REALLY that splashable. Sure you have the Big Five but outside that...
NTA, but the ED for Gren Maju is just something like this, Rudy Rose is optional but good against monthefricker who use their graveyard as second hand, or just simply to boost Chengying atk and trigger his banish effect

scratch is useless since wynn the wind channeler already existed and is basically just the same thing with more options to discard if you're playing literally any generic winds. wheel is actually great though. regardless of the monster you summon the main thing you're going to do with them is always the same: link them off for rubber band shooter. so it doesn't really matter what you roll that much. although some rolls will obviously be better than others. even a 1 isn't usually that bad. and it's the only result i'd say is bad at all. with wheel, you have a 1/6 chance of a mediocre result, a 1/3 chance for a good result and a 1/2 chance for a really good result. those are some of the best odds of any dice roll card by far. wheel is a 3 of in most speedroid decks for a reason.
They search for traphole cards. Trapholes are mostly triggered when something is summoned, so if you have enough of them you can instantly remove a monster after its being summoned. Destruction, banishing, even includes non targeting flipping monsters face down after being summoned, which fricks up their effects and makes certain special summons impossible. My favourite trap is Gravedigger's Traphole, which is basically just Called By but it also negates cards activated in the hand AND deals 2000 LP damage. Gravediggers fricks up a lot of players.
Their major weakness is that they're a trap based deck so they kinda immediately lose to going second and to backrow removal. They're also specialised in stopping summoning, but they can't do shit if a monster manages to actually hit the board. They have weak stats and your only option is to hope they special summon off it and you kill that monster.
When traptrix work, you keep the enemy board empty as frick and they can't do shit to stop you. You bully the frick outta the opponent as they helplessly watch every summoned monster get blown up. When traptrix don't work, your weak monsters get bent over and raped and there's nothing you can do about it.
Wincon is to literally frustrate your opponent into surrendering. That or bully them enough that they can't do shit and you bleed them out over 7 turns.
Gameplan is to bounce all your cards all over the fricking place to confuse your opponent and trigger as many effects as possible, they can't negate them all.

The problem for me isn't Empen, it's the "tribute your opponents shit" spell and their easy access to GY removal. Also the recovery from banishment having no cost at all is dumb, a deck that can normal summon constantly should have normal summoning as a trigger for effects like that

With her they still do the same thing they did before. Just better. They no longer have to "choose" between a pop and a draw, but instead get the draw alongside the pop. And that's fairly significant because of the amount of hand traps they run. But still they're really just getting the one in-engine interruption.
If you're playing a combo deck that is able to set up on them and then shut them down, or an OTK deck then it really doesn't matter that they get an extra send to GY on their second turn and have higher damage potential.

How do you deal with Citadel Machina deck? I tried banishing, but they benefited from it, I tried to just graveyard them, they benefited from it, I tried to floodgate them, but they got free backrow removals, I tried to beat them with a "fair" deck, but they just remove several monsters with one card.

I get what they were doing with Ruinforce but man Machina cards really need more once-per-turn clauses.
The only cards that don't have a hard OPT are Fortress and Ruinforce, and that's only on the summoning front. The thing is that on a dedicated Machina deck you can't just spam Ruinforce constantly because you need a really full GY for that, so if your opponent removes Citadel you're out of big options, and since Metalcruncher only searches earth machines it's not good to run more than one on a dedicated Machina deck

Had a hellish duel against a floo player. Only won because he kept crashing his tiny birds to get them banished/in the hand and then used Solemn Judgement. Couldn't use Dreaming Town either because he had nothing to summon and he probably ran out out of lvl 7 and up monsters anyway.
It feels weird to win a duel where it felt like the opponent was in control most of the time. They say life points don't matter and that they're just a resource but using them recklessly can get you a loss.

I've gotten a lot of use out of Ghost Ogre recently, but if you can only afford one right now, then you might want to go for a one-of like Foolish Burial. Also I'm not sure you should craft TTT, but I have to admit that everytime I've drawn the one copy I got from a random pack in my hand, it's been extremely useful.

You could try making Ghostrick Angel of Mischief but stop stacking Xyz materials when it has 9 so you don't trigger the wincon, then turn it into a 10-material Zeus.

You can equip Goliath on both your turn and your opponents turn, you can equip Heavy Forward to him, and you can get three materials under Dingirsu or Earth Slicer with their own effects. You can also hard mad Zeus in main phase one with Harvester and a level 10. Goliath makes it indestructable too.

No, you should be stopping your opponent from getting a boss monster out in the first place with the handtraps that make up half of your deck, assuming you're going second.

Yeah, it's funny you recycle black wings and used all your ED to make 4 omni negates when you pull it off but that's about it.
They need to make a Synchro that treats itself as 2 2 materials to make Blazar/Quasar/Sifr easier to summon.
That's easy to negate though. The normal Synchrons deck with Baronne/Abyss/Crystal Wing/Herald has a bunch of Plan Bs to play through handtraps and Nibiru. Quasar and Blazar turbo is fun and all but it's easy to counter if you know the deck.
I wonder how many of the duels will just involve Synchrons, Resonators and Blackwings with no mention to Akiza or Leo.
The final duel will be hillarious though. Synchrons with different Signer dragons + 1 Quasar vs full-powered Time lords.

It turns Eldlich Zombie World from a rogue deck into a meta deck. And it can be used a a fair amount of other decks. I hate Grass, it's nearly an instant win if it resolves for a lot of decks, which just isn't fun to me, but yeah it's good.
I love it when I pick deck archetypes that literally nobody else plays because I see potential in it that, evidently, nobody else does and I win with it.

Why run IP?
Nobody runs the Disciple/Devotee combo anymore since it locks you out of Trouble Sunny, so the main way to make IP alongside the Twins/Sunny would be to have Exceed, and you're better off making Bagooska with two Exceeds.
Crossout and Called by the Grave are non negotiable, and you should probably make at least one Veiler because it's just nice to have.
Called by, crossout, and droplet are staples you should have for most decks in general. Veiler not so much, but your UR CPs are well spent on cards that can fit into any deck

I already have eldlich and some floodgates but... control, floodgates and stun tend to be really slow, you know? If anything, even if I actually do it properly I might surrender myself because they're taking too long. I once did a 14 turn battle against a dragonmaid player who was stuck on 400 LP and just wouldn't die

scratch is useless since wynn the wind channeler already existed and is basically just the same thing with more options to discard if you're playing literally any generic winds. wheel is actually great though. regardless of the monster you summon the main thing you're going to do with them is always the same: link them off for rubber band shooter. so it doesn't really matter what you roll that much. although some rolls will obviously be better than others. even a 1 isn't usually that bad. and it's the only result i'd say is bad at all. with wheel, you have a 1/6 chance of a mediocre result, a 1/3 chance for a good result and a 1/2 chance for a really good result. those are some of the best odds of any dice roll card by far. wheel is a 3 of in most speedroid decks for a reason.
The bird deck is totally fine as well even if it lacks some of the birbs big power play cards.

Zombie World
Mine would be traptrix.
They search for traphole cards. Trapholes are mostly triggered when something is summoned, so if you have enough of them you can instantly remove a monster after its being summoned. Destruction, banishing, even includes non targeting flipping monsters face down after being summoned, which fricks up their effects and makes certain special summons impossible. My favourite trap is Gravedigger's Traphole, which is basically just Called By but it also negates cards activated in the hand AND deals 2000 LP damage. Gravediggers fricks up a lot of players.
Their major weakness is that they're a trap based deck so they kinda immediately lose to going second and to backrow removal. They're also specialised in stopping summoning, but they can't do shit if a monster manages to actually hit the board. They have weak stats and your only option is to hope they special summon off it and you kill that monster.
When traptrix work, you keep the enemy board empty as frick and they can't do shit to stop you. You bully the frick outta the opponent as they helplessly watch every summoned monster get blown up. When traptrix don't work, your weak monsters get bent over and raped and there's nothing you can do about it.

Wincon is to literally frustrate your opponent into surrendering. That or bully them enough that they can't do shit and you bleed them out over 7 turns.
Gameplan is to bounce all your cards all over the fricking place to confuse your opponent and trigger as many effects as possible, they can't negate them all.
