Superheavy had an FTK so that also became the impetus to ream the deck a new one. Also Wakaushi is a fricking super and Scarecrow is pennies. Some people will say that israeliteart is just hitting budget decks but they also shafted Purrely pretty damn fast and that isn't exactly a cheap deck. Good riddens though, SHS is cancer. Fricking Link-1 and has basically their own "Circular" card.
SHS had 12 1-card combo starters that created a end board of Barone (5th summon btw so your nib is worthless), Therion King Regulus, Naturia Exterio and IP Masq for Unicorn or Avramax and a draw 2 for more hand traps. All banning the Scarecrow did was make it so they have to open 2 SHS names to full combo.

Easy fix. I'm turning the card art into pixel graphics. They look stretched cause the original resolution of the game was at standard before I changed it to 1080.
I just have to go back and "repixel" the original art, but at a higher res.

It's a scrolling bg, which is pretty neat. I was originally using SMT bgs, but KoFXIII had much better ones. Fighting games in general have really neat bgs, especially the SNK ones. So I figured, with a side view for the batter, having something that evoked Fighting games in visual feel was good. Plus, KoF has tons of urban ones too. Though I'm going to experiment between that and SMT.

Right now, what I want to do is change the the Actor Windows on the bottom left so that their frames look like Monster Cards.
I also wanna tweak the battlefield they're on so it more closely resembles the holographic duel fields from the anime.

But that doesn't change anything about Refpanel. It says you can chain it to any card that targets a player. At most you could stretch it to say it needs to target exactly one player, but if my opponent plays Extravagance and I chain Refpanel, surely that just means _I_ wouldn't be able to draw any more cards that turn since that's part of the card effect being applied to me due to Refpanel. Besides, there are other cards on the allowed list that have "negative effects"; Allure of Darkness, Into The Void, Cold Feet, The Big Cattle Drive...
That was a pretty fun duel, enjoyed seeing that deck instead of the usual 3 or 4 I run across. Gonna dip to watch some Zexal, since i'm watching through it for the first time.

I don't think Tear will be stronger with Bystials after they lost a bunch of shufflers and limited Magnamhut means they'll have trouble actually getting to Beatrice without hard drawing 2 Bystials.

Ash just isn't impactful in this format with these decks. It's at worst a speed bump vs Tear & Spright, it's a complete brick against Floo half the time, likewise it usually isn't impactful against swordsould, Exo sometimes gets shut down but other times doesn't care

Top players in the WCS Qualifiers were all playing Ash. Whether you want to say it's all because of Maxx C or not is up to you. One of the topping EU players... Joshua Schmidt I think? Said that Ash was one of the only ways you'd have a chance to break their board going second, so I'd trust that over what random people online say.
I can see Ash not being strong enough to include in paper with no Maxx C and with all the Tear Ishizu cards having been at 3 instead of at 2.

You chained the negate to the activation right (when the card was flipped)? Herald specifically negates the activation, not the effect.
When the activation of a S/T card is negated (and specifically the activation, not the effect), the card is treated as if it never hit the field (even if it was on the field face-down just before).
Secret Blast specifically has to be destroyed while you control it to trigger the 2nd effect. In yugioh, you only "control" a card while it's on your field, and because the activation itself was negated, the card was not destroyed while on the field as far as the rules are concerned.
Ohhh ok, I knew summon negations mean they aren't on the field, but not card activations from set cards. Weird that it leaves the field for a moment when flipped.

Easy fix. I'm turning the card art into pixel graphics. They look stretched cause the original resolution of the game was at standard before I changed it to 1080.
I just have to go back and "repixel" the original art, but at a higher res.

I'm using MD and Yugi the Destiny OST tracks atm, but this playlist is pretty solid. I'll add some of these too.
It's a scrolling bg, which is pretty neat. I was originally using SMT bgs, but KoFXIII had much better ones. Fighting games in general have really neat bgs, especially the SNK ones. So I figured, with a side view for the batter, having something that evoked Fighting games in visual feel was good. Plus, KoF has tons of urban ones too. Though I'm going to experiment between that and SMT.
I also precicely posted that image for feedback. Like I said, I'm still trying to get the basics down.
Right now, what I want to do is change the the Actor Windows on the bottom left so that their frames look like Monster Cards.
I also wanna tweak the battlefield they're on so it more closely resembles the holographic duel fields from the anime.

You chained the negate to the activation right (when the card was flipped)? Herald specifically negates the activation, not the effect.
When the activation of a S/T card is negated (and specifically the activation, not the effect), the card is treated as if it never hit the field (even if it was on the field face-down just before).
Secret Blast specifically has to be destroyed while you control it to trigger the 2nd effect. In yugioh, you only "control" a card while it's on your field, and because the activation itself was negated, the card was not destroyed while on the field as far as the rules are concerned.
Ohhh ok, I knew summon negations mean they aren't on the field, but not card activations from set cards. Weird that it leaves the field for a moment when flipped.
