Decks that go second have a better time in the event because of how feeble boards are. I breezed through the event with severely gimped dragon link because with a little backrow removal OTKing was simple.
I was breaking boards all the time with Speedroid during the event as well. It's super easy compared to on ladder since all the major interrupts are banned/super limited and next to nothing is destruction immune so Kitedrake just runs over everything.

Especially with your opponent having ZERO knowledge of your deck, if they overextend and you stop them, it could cost them the match, so most players will go for a lighter setup and pass if they don't know what they're up against.
Maxx C + Evenly is a solid shot at a clean win if you can survive a turn. Which is very likely to happen in most cases.

I run Bond between and Dark Burning Magic to try and summon her as consistently as possible, and always deliver the killing blow with her if I can for the special animation. DMG is used for Soul Servant, with the other options being Mahad and Mana(who's not even in MD). Mahad does nothing aside be bait for Rank 7's which suck in DM anyways and they cant even abuse Zeus because of Eternal Soul. DMG has few combos and recursion with Salvation so theres something.

Dark Burning Magic has a restriction on it that it has to be DM the vanilla himself and not something using his name(I.E Dragon Knight), which is fricking moronic. It kills the bonds package.

Paper scam discussion doesn't belong in MD, especially when it's used to try and predict what MD will do, when it's been established again and again that MD is its own format. Paper games use the banlist as a form of set rotation. MD actually uses it to try and balance the game. This is why paper formats will nuke decks into oblivion, killing them off, while MD tries to keep them playable.
MD is also the better format for the mere fact that its FREE. Anyone who's spent money to play TCG is genuinely moronic and should be ignored.

They only do this in extreme formats. Tear wasn't rotated out or anything, and rotation doesn't rotate back in, so Sky Striker getting let off doesn't mean it's been rotated back in.
Tear is playable in paper despite getting turned into a highlander archetype by the banlist and having their main playmaker banned, the only one still suffering undeservedly is Orcust for some reason. Free them, and in MD too, I promise I'll be good if you give me a Knightmare Mermaid to play with

It's a LIGHT monster that activates its effect in the GY, while we're currently in an anti-GY Bystial meta where Ishizu shufflers are still legal. Most likely you were Scythe'd once in months so it means that you either got very unlucky, you don't carry the currently popular handtraps or you're a petdecker whose opinion should be immediately discarded.
Smoke Grenade was very popular and most importantly, not HOPT so it could be done more than once before the opponent could even reach their first turn. There's a big difference between locking your opponent's ED with a monster that can be easily banished with the currently popular handtraps, and a not HOPT equip card that gave the opponent both hand knowledge and a discard of their choice.

I don't see why you can't. Aside from the very small engine DPE uses or a copy of Mask Change, all the HERO variants use mostly Elemental cards for the core anyway. You can do nearly anything with Solid, Liquid, Stratos, and Shadow Mist, and there's even Blazeman if you don't want to use Vyon. The only thing you lose going pure Elemental is a tiny bit of combo potential and some of the good boss monsters, but even then you still have Sunrise, Absolute Zero, and some other decent boss options. It won't be as good, but I don't think the HERO core could ever be bad.

Hmm, post list. The deck can still be vulnerable to hand traps unless you open a particularly good hand, but you shouldn't be outright bricking too often.
That's a pretty standard list. If you want more gas you can cut the Bystials and run Foolish(for Block Dragon) and a few more rocks. A tech that hasn't really caught on but I'm a big believer in personally is Assault Synchron. It lets you turn any lvl 4 normal summon into Raptite and is just a generally good extender.

Favorite Decks:
Labrynth, Lyrilusc tri-brigade, and Tears have been my favorite decks so far. PUNK is also a lot of fun, but getting a normal summoned Ze Amin negated feels really bad, and it's often your only real line of play. Tears in particular were a great deck for general outplaying. Too bad they had to die, but I get it. Excited for Labrynth's second wave of support and the furniture heavy build, it'll be a nice change of pace from the control variant.
We're about to enter an era of extremely powerful field spells for Bo1 format. Tearlaments' field spell is the current explanation but just wait til you see some of the cursed shit the visas series can do with their other fields.
About 4 to 5 hours of gameplay and I went from diamond 5 to diamond 5
Let's see if my RNG is still seeded tomorrow or if I'll actually get to draw cards from my deck, I'm done

I was breaking boards all the time with Speedroid during the event as well. It's super easy compared to on ladder since all the major interrupts are banned/super limited and next to nothing is destruction immune so Kitedrake just runs over everything.

Anon, the DM deck dont really use DMG. That being said, you can use the Choco DMG
I run Bond between and Dark Burning Magic to try and summon her as consistently as possible, and always deliver the killing blow with her if I can for the special animation. It doesn't always pay off, but it's happened enough times during the event. I don't bother with DM outside of events unless I'm camping low ranks like Silver.
It's fine on platium too but beyond that you need some homosexual handtraps.
DMG is used for Soul Servant, with the other options being Mahad and Mana(who's not even in MD). Mahad does nothing aside be bait for Rank 7's which suck in DM anyways and they cant even abuse Zeus because of Eternal Soul. DMG has few combos and recursion with Salvation so theres something.
Dark Burning Magic has a restriction on it that it has to be DM the vanilla himself and not something using his name(I.E Dragon Knight), which is fricking moronic. It kills the bonds package.

Paper scam discussion doesn't belong in MD, especially when it's used to try and predict what MD will do, when it's been established again and again that MD is its own format. Paper games use the banlist as a form of set rotation. MD actually uses it to try and balance the game. This is why paper formats will nuke decks into oblivion, killing them off, while MD tries to keep them playable.
MD is also the better format for the mere fact that its FREE. Anyone who's spent money to play TCG is genuinely moronic and should be ignored.

Most likely you were Scythe'd once in months so it means that you either got very unlucky, you don't carry the currently popular handtraps or you're a petdecker whose opinion should be immediately discarded.
Using your loging, then it's not a problem so there's no reason to ban it.

Smoke Grenade was very popular and most importantly, not HOPT so it could be done more than once before the opponent could even reach their first turn. There's a big difference between locking your opponent's ED with a monster that can be easily banished with the currently popular handtraps, and a not HOPT equip card that gave the opponent both hand knowledge and a discard of their choice.

I don't see why you can't. Aside from the very small engine DPE uses or a copy of Mask Change, all the HERO variants use mostly Elemental cards for the core anyway. You can do nearly anything with Solid, Liquid, Stratos, and Shadow Mist, and there's even Blazeman if you don't want to use Vyon. The only thing you lose going pure Elemental is a tiny bit of combo potential and some of the good boss monsters, but even then you still have Sunrise, Absolute Zero, and some other decent boss options. It won't be as good, but I don't think the HERO core could ever be bad.

That's a pretty standard list. If you want more gas you can cut the Bystials and run Foolish(for Block Dragon) and a few more rocks. A tech that hasn't really caught on but I'm a big believer in personally is Assault Synchron. It lets you turn any lvl 4 normal summon into Raptite and is just a generally good extender.
I just almost never go first and when I do I just draw nothing (at least it seems like nothing)

Favorite Decks:
Labrynth, Lyrilusc tri-brigade, and Tears have been my favorite decks so far. PUNK is also a lot of fun, but getting a normal summoned Ze Amin negated feels really bad, and it's often your only real line of play. Tears in particular were a great deck for general outplaying. Too bad they had to die, but I get it. Excited for Labrynth's second wave of support and the furniture heavy build, it'll be a nice change of pace from the control variant.

I'm pretty sure that since I started Master Duel that my brain's been overwriting all my memorization of pokemon speed tiers, and the movelists of all the pokemon in gens 1-6 NU+UU tiers as well as probably some of my childhood memories in order to make room for the Yugioh card pool and combos.

I think it means you loaded before they did or their connection isn't amazing or something. It happens outside the event too, so don't read too heavily into them having Maxx C or whatever just over a minor flash.
