I think the reasoning behind Denglong is that you have to run multiple bricks and/or maintain the Yang Zing on field to have the negate live, whereas with Ib you just get free material similar to Halq. Both should probably be banned, but Denglong doesn't see a ton of play outside of Swordsoul for whatever reason.

Ib is more comparable to Halq where she opens up a lot of combo possibilities, than Denglong which is a potential payoff for combos among the many other payoffs.

This event sucks they should have limited to 40 cards or limit the type of cards they can put into the deck because all I kept running into people just using 60 card half meta decks. Whats the point of this event if people are gonna try hard to win for a very short casual event?
He's one of the few consistently great things about VRAINS. The problem is that the first arc is just mostly him sitting on his ass for the first 40 or so episodes while his goons do his work aside from his one obligatory duel against he MC. If you watch it, keep in mind that the show's production was a fricking mess in the beginning which lead to stupid decisions such as the initial link summoning chant thing they did which takes up like 2 minutes for each summon. That gets replaced like 12 episodes in and all the recap episodes featuring the annoying fart frog gradually become less frequent too.
VRAINS Is really not worth it. ARC-V was a clusterfrick but VRAINS on the other hand is just really dull and uninteresting. There's some funny stuff here and there like MemeMan Revolver using old skool Traps but by and large, the show is just not interesting. One of VRAINS' biggest issues is that most YGO shows tend to suffer from the side characters not being allowed to do anything or having real development, but VRAINS is probably the worst offender with this. If you're not Yusaku, Soulburner or Ai you really may as well not exist.

In what situations should I be summoning Chengying/Aegirine over Baronne, just in general? A lot of people run them instead of running like multiple Baronnes, but if I have the choice Baronne just always feels like the safer option since omnis are just so versatile.
you do know you won't always go first, right? Chengying is an insurance against decks like Runick and Traptrix whenever you go 2nd, because Baronne is a single negate, whereas to get rid of Chengying they have to first negate its effects which means using two cards or going into an Unicorn to get rid of it

You can watch a replay that has an opponent who puts up resistance which is played through, and then use that to see what a deck's potential is after considering what sort of hands can can produce those results.
Ideally you'd want more than one replay though. Like a "Here's what it can do with a mediocre hand", "Here's what it can do with a good hand", and a couple "Here's what it can do when your main plan gets disrupted" videos.
If you're unable to figure out "Oh, he needed this 2 card combo in every opener and never faced hand traps or went second!" then that's on you.

Here's what I used. I played 3 games and won all 3. Once vs Swordsoul, once vs Branded, and once vs pure Bystial. They had no ability to bounce back after their extra deck stuff was removed, and the games were slow enough thanks to dice/coin bricks that the trap control strategy easily carried me to victory.
I should've had N'tss instead of Garura, but I thought that the decks would be brickier and that I might want the draw over the second pop. Or probably should've dropped Punishment for Compulse, and added Skullmeister + D/D/D rank 4 to use Ties of the Brethren with Snipe Hunter.

He's one of the few consistently great things about VRAINS. The problem is that the first arc is just mostly him sitting on his ass for the first 40 or so episodes while his goons do his work aside from his one obligatory duel against he MC. If you watch it, keep in mind that the show's production was a fricking mess in the beginning which lead to stupid decisions such as the initial link summoning chant thing they did which takes up like 2 minutes for each summon. That gets replaced like 12 episodes in and all the recap episodes featuring the annoying fart frog gradually become less frequent too.

VRAINS Is really not worth it. ARC-V was a clusterfrick but VRAINS on the other hand is just really dull and uninteresting. There's some funny stuff here and there like MemeMan Revolver using old skool Traps but by and large, the show is just not interesting. One of VRAINS' biggest issues is that most YGO shows tend to suffer from the side characters not being allowed to do anything or having real development, but VRAINS is probably the worst offender with this. If you're not Yusaku, Soulburner or Ai you really may as well not exist.

You can watch a replay that has an opponent who puts up resistance which is played through, and then use that to see what a deck's potential is after considering what sort of hands can can produce those results.
Ideally you'd want more than one replay though. Like a "Here's what it can do with a mediocre hand", "Here's what it can do with a good hand", and a couple "Here's what it can do when your main plan gets disrupted" videos.
If you're unable to figure out "Oh, he needed this 2 card combo in every opener and never faced hand traps or went second!" then that's on you.
All of that doesn't matter when the sample size is still incredibly small and doesn't include losses.

Here's what I used. I played 3 games and won all 3. Once vs Swordsoul, once vs Branded, and once vs pure Bystial. They had no ability to bounce back after their extra deck stuff was removed, and the games were slow enough thanks to dice/coin bricks that the trap control strategy easily carried me to victory.
I should've had N'tss instead of Garura, but I thought that the decks would be brickier and that I might want the draw over the second pop. Or probably should've dropped Punishment for Compulse, and added Skullmeister + D/D/D rank 4 to use Ties of the Brethren with Snipe Hunter.
And I just built Dinos yesterday.
