Meanwhile if I send my decklist into the locals they'll throw the lowest foil prints together and pack it up for me, and since it's a mostly-commons shitdeck it'd be $20 or so. I just can't do that for Labrynth because the deck is ridiculously popular and all the cards in it are in high demand. I got a full playset of Big Welcome Labrynth for $10 and now each one is $8 there because PHHY is no longer coming in or being opened.

They have a lot of restrictions and quality control for updates on mobile games.
Same reason hotfixes usually take a week or two to actually be applied. The updates need to be approved in advance.

Apparently a lot of OCG players like it too, not necessarily more than the original for all of them, but it's a pretty prized card that's actually had more cards based on it than the original Ankh one, and in the OCG it's been printed twice as a rare promo and a card designed to sell a limited edition pack.

TCG monster reborn is treated more like an alt art in the OCG really, and like I said, an absolute frickload of cards were based on it, including the actual art for Monster Reincarnation, Xyz Reborn, Pendulum Reborn, Symbol of Heritage, and Monster Reborn Reborn. All of them are based off the int art.
I still think it's kind of funny how they couldn't get a pic of the LART one out of the plastic wrap because there's not a soul out there that will ever play this garbage so there's no reason to remove the wrapper.
The censored one is neat because it feels like some sort of eldritch altar. Like who knows what alien god they're offering these weird vessels to. And them being gold just makes it feel like they're receiving something in return. It just really gets the noggin joggin.

This is what tryout duels should be 3 days where you can use cards from the newest packs to make a deck
There's enough good rank 4s that you can play them as a rank 4 spam deck, but don't expect them to be that good. A lot of their boards are exactly Redoer, and while he's a great card, he doesn't really do anything unless you can get a trap under him. The Phantom Knights trap monster is good for this, and I wanna say the new Traptrix support has another level 4 trap monster as well.
They have good recursion, so it feels like they want to play a control game, but they just lack board presence. Still, outside of Redoer and generic rank 4s the deck is pretty cheap.
You can play them with Raidraptors for a combo variant. I was thinking about making a Runick version that goes for deckout through banishing+stealing, plus the runick wolf is lvl4. I didnt test it though because even Time Thief cant make me actually play Runick, only think about it.
Good but overpriced in TCG. They can play a lot of handtraps as extenders since their monsters' effects rely on having certain attributes in your hand.
Solid tier 2 deck. They're a bit format dependent though. In the OCG, they had the benefit of Maxx C, Ash, and Kurikara being very playable and since they need earth/fire attributes in hand they can benefit from drawing non-engine. Since they return to hand, they also play decently under Ariseheart's macro effect, and certain floodgates. That said, as the meta shifts and other cards become more necessary (Gamma, Droll, Imperm, etc) they might not be able to keep up given the need of the deck to hit a critical mass of attributes. I almost wish Konami gave them an in-archetype hand trap like Havnis, it would give them some format independence.
I hate censorship as a principal, but I can appreciate art on its own merit. I'd still rather the original not be censored even if I like the new art better.
I mean, the OCG players like the MR talisman, so idk what you want from me.
This is a marked difference from breast reductions, making all the guns into moronic looking toys, and remaking all the candlelights on some of the Aromage cards for no real reason.
The only reason I don't like this one is because it changes the story so much. this is just a trap set by the ancient Egyptians to deter graverobbers. The original is set there by someone modern. Some other rival explorer who got there before him? Modern day "Gravekeeper"s? Was he set up by someone who gave him a tip?

I wasn't aware that was a thing. Now I'm more puzzled about why Siilva is banned but not Infernity Launcher, on Necromancer, or Archfiend.
Infernity is a really bad deck that with the perfect hand and vs zero hand traps can do some of the most disgusting shit imaginable. Dark World is an actually good deck that is hard to stop.
Other decks can also get rid of your whole hand by looping shit like Trishula or Omega, but like Infernity those decks usually aren't good, and if they are then there are more reliable ways of playing them.

Make a dark token with Jord or search Booty, and start banishing his Golden Lords. Eldlich isn't very threatening with all the best floodgates limited.
You could just ask him to make a slightly weaker verison of his Tear deck assuming it's actually optimized and not just something he built on his own.

My buddy is a meta chaser and he is probably gonna switch from lich to labby after the update while I am a fun duelist that cares more about aesthetics and great plays(I mean I literally never used my bystial deck because I fricking hate albaz and his hoe)

Plunder can hit max rank but it's a really hard deck to play optimally with some very weird lines that are hard to see, and a deck where VERY minor mistakes can have snowball effects that frick you over. It's solidly a rogue deck. Eldlich and True Draco are both sub-rogue at this point, but they're stun decks, so hey. Floodgates insta-win a lot of games.
Tear is Tear.
Tears are the best Yugioh deck to ever be put to cardboard
Eldlich and Punder are both vaguely rogue. They're definitely not meta but they can put up results with a bit a of luck
True Draco is slightly worse than Eldlich and Plunder
plunder patrol is in that nebulous rogue tier: they have a competent strategy, have a fair amount of room for non-engine and really good recursion, and because of it they can play well into a lot of things and take wins off top meta. But inherently their power level is lower than whatever the meta is, so if you're both playing with optimal builds and doing optimal plays, your friend will have a leg up on you. Tears are also the best deck ever printed in yugioh so, you'll struggle if you're both playing out of your minds and often enough you'll just lose by whatever cards you each drew
true draco is bad, but opening shit like soul+skill drain can just be a game ender right then and there. It's a sacky deck by its nature.
If you have Bystials and want to increase your odds of winning, then add them all to your decks since they frick both of his decks HARD. Also you can pretend you didn't do it just to counter him, because it's what a lot of people are doing on ladder anyway. :^)

Tear's whole gimmick is that when an effect sends one of their dark monsters to the GY that it can use itself as material for a fusion summon by returning itself from the GY to the extra deck. If you banish them then they can't do that. Eldlich's whole gimmick is summoning Eldlich from the GY until you die while floodgates hold you at bay. Replace your non-engine cards of course. Maybe the Adventure Package if you can't find space.

I just play master duel, as far as I knew it just ripped cards from peoples hands and changed your opponents effects to discard your own cards.
Even before the support Dark World is a deck where if you Maxx C them then they'll try to deck you out just by summon spamming. The support makes them far more consistent and resilient.
love that oldschool cards are just straight up broken half of the time while new cards have 40 lines of texts describing how it must be summoned while ending up as a fricking extender
Field should work since the destruction effect is its own effect.
Also while Dogmatika wont kill it, It can still be used on Wildheart and whatever you send can through its effect.

i personally only use 1 rafflesia because after the first one, you either threw most of the trap holes in the GY already or they board broke you and you have to break their established board somehow
i used to use Allomerus to beat over weaker monsters, but with the new traptrix pinguicula having 2500 attack and the new insect monster beargram in this same pack you could skip her for better rank 4s.
i'm dedicated to using as many traptrixes in my deck as possible, so i'm still running one allomerus anyways

They can't activate their effects that turn, but you're still letting your opponent curate their GY to their liking by destroying cards of their choice from the deck.

Never run more than 2 of a danger, run 2 of each grapha, red reboot is trash, mothman is the best danger, you don't need the bounce links without the hand loop, invest in upstart goblins, tsuchinoko sucks, play 40 cards.
No but you can banish the first one for the second one to dodge negates and discard the second grapha or bigfoot to pop cards on your opponent's turn. The fusion spell and big grapha are the deck's main form of interaction. If you play Zombiestein you can chain the fusion spell then chain Zombiestein to negate dark ruler and shit.

Yeah Grapha can only negate normal spells and traps so Zombiestein covers the rest of the bases.
Ghastly Glitch is insanely underrated, sending ANY fiend monster to the GY while popping 1 card is crazy. You can do some cool stuff if paired with the field spell, you summon the sent to GY fiend immediately.
Just draw the out. The problem with trap decks is the “out” is different from the “outs” that work on every other deck which makes MD players seethe because lmao no side deck.

Game mode where people pull from packs or select cards out of a limited pool and construct a deck out of only those cards. If you've ever watched Progression Series or any of Doug Zeeffs videos it's like that

It wouldn't just be master packs unless they were moronic. They'd have packs that are made for this purpose where you can actually get some synergies going in your deck. Or at the very least they'd let you pull from secret packs.

Are they playable as a full deck?
There's enough good rank 4s that you can play them as a rank 4 spam deck, but don't expect them to be that good. A lot of their boards are exactly Redoer, and while he's a great card, he doesn't really do anything unless you can get a trap under him. The Phantom Knights trap monster is good for this, and I wanna say the new Traptrix support has another level 4 trap monster as well.
They have good recursion, so it feels like they want to play a control game, but they just lack board presence. Still, outside of Redoer and generic rank 4s the deck is pretty cheap.
You can play them with Raidraptors for a combo variant. I was thinking about making a Runick version that goes for deckout through banishing+stealing, plus the runick wolf is lvl4. I didnt test it though because even Time Thief cant make me actually play Runick, only think about it.
How are Vanquish Soul? I like artstyle and the David Martinez looking mf.

Good but overpriced in TCG. They can play a lot of handtraps as extenders since their monsters' effects rely on having certain attributes in your hand.
Solid tier 2 deck. They're a bit format dependent though. In the OCG, they had the benefit of Maxx C, Ash, and Kurikara being very playable and since they need earth/fire attributes in hand they can benefit from drawing non-engine. Since they return to hand, they also play decently under Ariseheart's macro effect, and certain floodgates. That said, as the meta shifts and other cards become more necessary (Gamma, Droll, Imperm, etc) they might not be able to keep up given the need of the deck to hit a critical mass of attributes. I almost wish Konami gave them an in-archetype hand trap like Havnis, it would give them some format independence.

Infernity is a really bad deck that with the perfect hand and vs zero hand traps can do some of the most disgusting shit imaginable. Dark World is an actually good deck that is hard to stop.
Other decks can also get rid of your whole hand by looping shit like Trishula or Omega, but like Infernity those decks usually aren't good, and if they are then there are more reliable ways of playing them.

Make a dark token with Jord or search Booty, and start banishing his Golden Lords. Eldlich isn't very threatening with all the best floodgates limited.
You could just ask him to make a slightly weaker verison of his Tear deck assuming it's actually optimized and not just something he built on his own.

My buddy is a meta chaser and he is probably gonna switch from lich to labby after the update while I am a fun duelist that cares more about aesthetics and great plays(I mean I literally never used my bystial deck because I fricking hate albaz and his hoe)

Plunder can hit max rank but it's a really hard deck to play optimally with some very weird lines that are hard to see, and a deck where VERY minor mistakes can have snowball effects that frick you over. It's solidly a rogue deck. Eldlich and True Draco are both sub-rogue at this point, but they're stun decks, so hey. Floodgates insta-win a lot of games.

Tears are the best Yugioh deck to ever be put to cardboard
Eldlich and Punder are both vaguely rogue. They're definitely not meta but they can put up results with a bit a of luck
True Draco is slightly worse than Eldlich and Plunder
plunder patrol is in that nebulous rogue tier: they have a competent strategy, have a fair amount of room for non-engine and really good recursion, and because of it they can play well into a lot of things and take wins off top meta. But inherently their power level is lower than whatever the meta is, so if you're both playing with optimal builds and doing optimal plays, your friend will have a leg up on you. Tears are also the best deck ever printed in yugioh so, you'll struggle if you're both playing out of your minds and often enough you'll just lose by whatever cards you each drew
true draco is bad, but opening shit like soul+skill drain can just be a game ender right then and there. It's a sacky deck by its nature.
If you have Bystials and want to increase your odds of winning, then add them all to your decks since they frick both of his decks HARD. Also you can pretend you didn't do it just to counter him, because it's what a lot of people are doing on ladder anyway. :^)

Tear's whole gimmick is that when an effect sends one of their dark monsters to the GY that it can use itself as material for a fusion summon by returning itself from the GY to the extra deck. If you banish them then they can't do that. Eldlich's whole gimmick is summoning Eldlich from the GY until you die while floodgates hold you at bay. Replace your non-engine cards of course. Maybe the Adventure Package if you can't find space.

I just play master duel, as far as I knew it just ripped cards from peoples hands and changed your opponents effects to discard your own cards.
Even before the support Dark World is a deck where if you Maxx C them then they'll try to deck you out just by summon spamming. The support makes them far more consistent and resilient.

I remember when Graceful Charity was unbanned and Dark World monsters just dropped into the game. Fun times.

If Lab is ALL you want from the selection pack then pull the secret pack since it has regular welcome. If you already have 3x Welcome then the secret pack is still better, because it's a 50% chance for URs to be on the right side, so with 7 URs in the pack that's like a 14 pack selection pack(which the selection pack is). BUT the guaranteed UR from a 0 UR 10 pull is ALWAYS the final card of the final pack so it's always from the secret pack, and that makes secret packs a bit better. Also the guaranteed SR is always that final card, but has a 20% chance to be UR.

make your decision on those. Allomerus can be good if you need something from gy back immediately but it depends
i personally only use 1 rafflesia because after the first one, you either threw most of the trap holes in the GY already or they board broke you and you have to break their established board somehow
i used to use Allomerus to beat over weaker monsters, but with the new traptrix pinguicula having 2500 attack and the new insect monster beargram in this same pack you could skip her for better rank 4s.
i'm dedicated to using as many traptrixes in my deck as possible, so i'm still running one allomerus anyways

Eradicator and Deck Devastation are good, Full Force is okay, and Grinning Grave is a good way to guarantee your own loss.

They can't activate their effects that turn, but you're still letting your opponent curate their GY to their liking by destroying cards of their choice from the deck.

Never run more than 2 of a danger, run 2 of each grapha, red reboot is trash, mothman is the best danger, you don't need the bounce links without the hand loop, invest in upstart goblins, tsuchinoko sucks, play 40 cards.

That's because you only have 1 grapha and one accession. You need a second one to summon on your opponents turn or turn 3.

No but you can banish the first one for the second one to dodge negates and discard the second grapha or bigfoot to pop cards on your opponent's turn. The fusion spell and big grapha are the deck's main form of interaction. If you play Zombiestein you can chain the fusion spell then chain Zombiestein to negate dark ruler and shit.

Yeah Grapha can only negate normal spells and traps so Zombiestein covers the rest of the bases.

Ghastly Glitch is insanely underrated, sending ANY fiend monster to the GY while popping 1 card is crazy. You can do some cool stuff if paired with the field spell, you summon the sent to GY fiend immediately.
