They're missing Elpy and Agarpain, which are 2 more interruptions, and the Bystials at best are just shitty replacements for more copies of Wyburstar, Collapserpent and (rip) Eclipse Wyvern.
Dilator is unironically stronger and more consistent. The only downside is they don't play gamma.

You guys are assuming you're going to be allowed to set up lethal uninterrupted in the first place. Good decks are able to go first or second. If you're playing Numeron and ending on just Apo you're losing to a single Imperm and your opponent is starting with 6 cards now. I think you guys are in shitter ranks. Other dedicated going second strategies are pretty fricking bad even in MD, all worse than Numeron. Even decks that only function going first are better than that kind of trash. MD players are just too shit at deck building to be able to pass turn on a deck they know 100% is going second.

YGO is a game of luck above all else, it doesn't matter how consistent or skilled you are if you don't open the out.
This is why Swordsoul, a mediocre deck in paper, is so powerful in Master Duel. 2 consistent spell negates and a special summon lock kills almost every meta deck.

I don't think luck is the word I'd use but he's right, going first is about setting a strong board and figuring out what the other dude is playing while at it, if you are autistic enough you check statistics to figure out what you are most likely to find out, but at the end of the day a shit deck with the right luck can still beat your deck engineered to be as consistent as possible.

Because most of Numeron's shit requires a monster on your board. It is way safer to not put out anything because they need a monster on board OR they hard draw limiter removal and have a way to network. The only decks I have felt it was better to play than pass were IDS and Branded. Any other deck just pass and they don't do shit. It's that simple. Especially because not all Numeron lists play limiter removal or Gradius in the first place.

MTG is a clear example to point to. The data is the same across all TCGs. What starts to define a GOOD deck is that it has more than 50% winrate, with the cap before you start getting into OP territory is once it starts going over 60%

"Around 56%" is how it works in most card game you moron. It's really hard for decks to break out of 59% because of the mirror match and the going first advantage present in every game.

Most games will hover at around 54% across the board. But that doesn't mean there's a cap put in place that prevents you from going over a certain %. It means that the game is balanced and there's no single deck that's overwhelmingly dominating. In fact 59% win for aggro decks in Arena is fricking dogshit and a huge reason for why Arena is trash.
In short, it essentially works like this:

>53% - 56% = Good
>50% - 52% = Honest and Balanced

EDH is a separate singleton format that might as well be a different game that uses the same cards since it's focused around 4 players and a more "social" component. White isn't that great there because their best cards are deemed unfun and make you a meanie bobini so you can't play with them without risking getting a ton of flack.
Now unfortunately for magic, these "players" now vastly outnumber actual magic players.

The win rate caps out a little above 50% because very often there are mirror matches. So one person with the card wins and the other person with the card loses, making the rate closer to 50%. You push a bit above to account for matches where the opponent is playing a different deck.
It doesn't cap out, and that's perfectly normal. It's also not just the mirror match, but also the going first advantage. What it actually translates to is here

I asked for an event where everyone picks a team based on types/attributes/ed types and they have to compete against the opposing teams. it's like all the festivals combined but you're locked into one and you have to fight against all the others.
Since maxx c is basically an auto-lose if I pass on nothing I just take the challenge and hope I can deck them between comboing and hitting ishizu pieces.
It worked once and came damn close twice, and since nearly everything is a HopT if I can simply negate their starter I don't have to worry about their 30 card hand.
taking the challenge works better in most ccases in master duel. a lot of morons just play maxx c without too many handtraps besides ash or board breakers

Harpies are so weird to think about because the monsters are fundamentally shit but the privilege it does get is amazing. Like, this shit has an archetypal Soul Charge, an archetypal +3, has a SS from deck spell with no real cost or OPT clause, and one of the most broken handtraps of all time, and yet it's still shit even with all of this insane support. Such a weird ass archetype to think about. Oh, and its signature level 6 hasn't gotten a retrain in over 20 years.

Just you. Sometimes you have a month where you do poorly, sometimes where you do well. Sometimes you pull averagely across all your gems, and sometimes you get 0-1 URs for 5k gems in a row, and then go 3-5 for the next 5k, or just have one ten pull with 10 URs in it that makes up for the previous bad luck.

I usually make a new deck every month, but then I can count "new" as a different variant of a deck I'm already playing, like adding Fur Hire cards to Spright Runick. If you just wanna play new decks because you enjoy learning the ins and outs, I'd recommend a simulator like YGO Omega. A gacha game is gonna be stingy with F2P players no matter what.

I'm fond of certain playstyles and novelty doesn't mean much to me beyond practicality. I've played Master Duel for over 500 hours and have only made 3 real decks that I care about.

I've been playing the same deck since 2011. Never get bored of it.
If I have a deck I really like I try different variants, like mixing Adventure engine, or Runick or even bystials and see what works best.
Obviously if its not a top tier deck that already has the best version posted everywhere
I only play my favorites for hours at a time, I usually switch every hour or so, I've got dozens at this point since I've been playing since release.
You didn't ask but my three favorites are Endymion, Scareclaw, and P.U.N.K / Therion.
My most played deck is Suships. They are terrible, but I like playing yugioh as more of a joke and there are little joke archetypes out there. I think if you really just want to consistently win then you have no choice but to make your deck as close to meta as possible, which some people are fine with playing that for months since the meta doesn't change that fast. But for me, the sushi is just too good to give up.

Hit Master 1 with labs consecutively so far. MVP cards are going second Sphere and Evenly. Torrential is runner up but no one really expects it and it's hilarious when a player over extends.

It is. With all the limits/semi-limits Branded Tears is way less consistent. Sure you can branded fusion send Merli for Lubellion but you need to have another tear in grave for that to work. And your already inconsistent Tear mills are going to be clouded by branded cards that don't really do anything. When it works, you can end on some crazy high roll boards like Mirrorjade+Cryme+Banishment+Rukallos with Havnis and Mercourier in hand, but half the time the deck eats 1 interruption and ends on Reinoheart pass.

You have to compare the usage rates to other meta archetype cards like Spright and Branded. Branded, being much older than Tearlament and much more splashable, will have a much higher usage rate.

It's counting the usage numbers from the bottom rungs, of course it's not going to be indicative of higher levels of play.
It doesn't count the shitdecks you play that's for sure.
Not the other guy but Master 1 (formerly Diamond 1) isn't honestly a good indicator of the actual meta composition and winrates. It might be close but people scoop way faster at the slightest inconvenience because no consequences which also means sometimes people go in testing sub optimal decks as well as fricking around, and on top of that it's a smaller sample size because people will frick off entirely after attaining it. It's not the top tryhard environment. Not even Master 2 is since you can match Master 1 players now and then, Master 4 and 3 are the sweatiest by far. IF they would change the top rank to be a leader board for the season instead of a glorified unranked mode I would say it's the best metric.

I'd say you should invest on a meta deck so you can have an easier time through ranked, but the new banlist hasn't been announced yet and it's more than likely that both Tearlaments and Sprights, the top decks at the moment, will be hit one way or another, so my advice would be to at least wait for the banlist to be announced before you start spending some gems. What kind of decks or playstyle do you like?
Alternatively, become a Silverbro, Labrynth is at the moment a great long time investment that keeps getting in and non-archetype support.

I do too but it stops being fun when you start playing against despia, tears, and lab every duel and they fire off a billion effects off of it.
Dogmatika is pretty expensive for a pet deck if you run the full 3x Diviners, but raping extra decks is pretty fun. I've been running a small branded engine with 1x Albaz, 1x BF, 1x Retribution, 2x Cartesia, 2x Fusion Deployment, Albion, and Lubellion in the main deck and 2x Titaniklad, 1x Albion, and 1x Mirrorjade. Maximus can dump both Albion and Titaniklad, which grabs a live retribution and a Fleur in the endphase while ripping more ED cards. If you can make it, Mirrorjade is great for getting rid of annoying cards that you can't beat over with Alba Zoa.

The chain resolves backwards so Almiraj didn't apply "cannot be destroyed by card effects" before Fleur was popped

in reverse it would be:

2- almiraj effect applies
1- tries to pop and fails

Labrynth Labyrinth's additional effect applies at point of resolution to Big Welcome Labrynth. Imagine that, while the field spell is on the field, BWL has an extra line of text that says, "Target 1 card on the field, destroy it". It doesn't start in a new chain. So Almiraj's effect didn't apply yet. Also Almiraj's second effect only triggers after a card is destroyed by battle, and a normal summoned monster at that.

The field spell does it's thing as soon as either welcome or big welcome labrynth resolves, and since Big welcome's effect resolved first, it makes Labrynth Labrynth resolve first as well.
Because it was also through effect, no Almiraj comes back.

Not that guy but I zeroed myself out building them a few months ago and haven't regretted it. They aren't the best but you're building a deck that's never really going to age and stands a decent chance against almost anything because of the vast amount of tools you will have at your disposal.
heroes are better at going first because they have a lot of disruption and once their board is established they can come back or punish removal well, but they're not particularly great at breaking an already established board. Most decks are better at going first than going second in yugioh though, unless they're dedicated blind second OTK decks

I love how even Branded Tear is still a worse deck than just the in-archetype Branded deck like just about every fricking Branded variant that has ever existed. I swear I win over 80% of my matchups against them and no joke a third of the time, they are losing in time. You just know they tried the deck out once and drew the fricking nuts and think it's the best shit the game and don't realize how bad some of the deck's hands can be.
Last game a dude even resolved Grass and Branded Fusion on me in addition to the Tear plays, but he fricking timed out while in a pretty bad losing position. Just learn to play fricking Branded, homie and stop gambling.

It only prevents summoning to the extra monster zone specifically. If you summon Topo into the extra monster zone itself, you can still summon a monster in a normal monster zone it points to. The restriction only prevents you from summoning topo in the regular monster zone and then summoning something else in the extra monster zone.
The restriction on summoning to the extra monster zone could be useful for locking your opponent out of using link monsters if you summoned Topo in the middle normal monster zone, using it to cuck your opponent instead of using it for the board clear ability.

What's the downplay? The deck is objectively balanced in MD and much weaker than its paper counterparts according to the game's data. And they did it without ever banning Kit.
