After trying to play Vaylantz in the tryouts, I can only conclude that this deck is impossible to play optimally since it takes forever to get anywhere. Shit requires more thinking due to how easy it is to screw up the movement thing and also the positioning.

Nope, in fact Spright Twins is the worst variation at the moment because Live Twins need the normal summon and their cards in the GY to do full combo, but at least you can still extend if you have Sprights in the hand. Let's not speak about pure Live Twins, you get Bystial'd, you're dead.

Ghost Belle is a decent handtrap against Bystials, I'm surprised why no one uses her when they can also stop Tears fusions as long as you don't get chainblocked.
It depends on your deck. If your objective is to stop the Bystials from hitting the field, Belle isn't that good. If you absolutely need a specific GY play to go through, Belle is actually good but you still run the risk of them having a second Bystial. Most of the good decks right now in the meta also get hit by Belle to some degree so she's good for sure. In MD I just find the typical dillema of not having enough space because Maxx C shit clogging my deck to run her.
She's also my favorite ghost girl, I love her. Make sure to play my daughter as much as possible!

Stop listening to the TCGcucks. MD has proven time and again to do its own thing. Kashtira will only get hit if it proves too strong, but they're unlikely to ever ban Fenrir at all like they did in the paper formats.
You have to understand, in paper, because Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't have set rotation, Konami uses a combination of power creep and the banlist to encourage people to build new decks every year or less. Because of this, TCGcucks have been so mindbroken they expect the same pattern to occur in MD despite the game not benefitting from that at all. Ignore them. The hits made to the decks at launch are a good representation of what the devs intend. Any hits after will be done for balance. Just a few tweaks and consistency hits. Nothing major like banning key cards like Fenrir or Kitkallos. The banlist in MD is truly for balance, not as a pseudo format rotation.
I don't give a frick, moron. Fenrir is on the chopping block in TCG because that's how the paper formats operate. You know I'm talking about both formats, where's self evident the banlist isn't utilized to balance the game at all.

For example, in paper, when Drytron was dominating, EVA and Benten got banned. Which effectively killed the deck, rendering it unplayable. In MD, they limited Benten and Orange Light, making the deck less consistent, but still fully playable. This has been a recurring trend.
Additionally, they're happy to hit older cards outside of the newer archetypes that push them over the top and are unfair. Examples: >VFD >Halq >Carrier >Toadally Awesome
We've yet to see a single instance of the MD devs outright banning a key card from a newer archetype in order to attempt to render the strategy worthless like they've done countless times in paper.

I know the game is Gacha, but what if the game worked like WarThunder: usage rates of cards (as a proxy of strength) in a deck influence your matchmaking rating and the people you face off against. Yea or nah?

Tear is prob like 50/50 in consistency. Compare this to spright thats like 99% consistent, and basically immune to Bystial.

Apparently in Master Duel, Diablosis's 'banish face-down opponent's deck equal to banished face-down cards' still works even if the number of banished face-down cards is more than the number of cards remaining in the opponent's deck on resolution.
Just tried it today (there were 15 cards remaining in the deck and there were 15 banished face-down cards at the time. When Diablosis's effect resolves there were 16 banished face-down cards and 14 cards in the opponent's deck)

After trying to play Vaylantz in the tryouts, I can only conclude that this deck is impossible to play optimally since it takes forever to get anywhere. Shit requires more thinking due to how easy it is to screw up the movement thing and also the positioning.

I don't struggle with Bystials.
It depends on your deck. If your objective is to stop the Bystials from hitting the field, Belle isn't that good. If you absolutely need a specific GY play to go through, Belle is actually good but you still run the risk of them having a second Bystial. Most of the good decks right now in the meta also get hit by Belle to some degree so she's good for sure. In MD I just find the typical dillema of not having enough space because Maxx C shit clogging my deck to run her.
She's also my favorite ghost girl, I love her. Make sure to play my daughter as much as possible!

Stop listening to the TCGcucks. MD has proven time and again to do its own thing. Kashtira will only get hit if it proves too strong, but they're unlikely to ever ban Fenrir at all like they did in the paper formats.
You have to understand, in paper, because Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't have set rotation, Konami uses a combination of power creep and the banlist to encourage people to build new decks every year or less. Because of this, TCGcucks have been so mindbroken they expect the same pattern to occur in MD despite the game not benefitting from that at all. Ignore them. The hits made to the decks at launch are a good representation of what the devs intend. Any hits after will be done for balance. Just a few tweaks and consistency hits. Nothing major like banning key cards like Fenrir or Kitkallos. The banlist in MD is truly for balance, not as a pseudo format rotation.

Strategies that have been proven troublesome in paper are usually released with certain hits that limit their consistency so that they're more fair.
The first example we saw of this was Adventure Tokens, where I believe Aquamancer launched semi-limited. But it happened again later with Tears and now Kash.
Additionally, when the MD devs need to address a deck that's become particularly troublesome they tend to resort toward keeping the strategy alive whilst limiting their consistency.
For example, in paper, when Drytron was dominating, EVA and Benten got banned. Which effectively killed the deck, rendering it unplayable. In MD, they limited Benten and Orange Light, making the deck less consistent, but still fully playable. This has been a recurring trend.
Additionally, they're happy to hit older cards outside of the newer archetypes that push them over the top and are unfair. Examples:

>Halq
>Carrier
>Toadally Awesome
We've yet to see a single instance of the MD devs outright banning a key card from a newer archetype in order to attempt to render the strategy worthless like they've done countless times in paper.

Not really. You can just make Lab or Swordsoul easily now due to their secret packs and you have a deck more than good enough to allow you to chill in the lower ranks while you grind out staples and save up for whatever meta / casual deck interests you.

Apparently in Master Duel, Diablosis's 'banish face-down opponent's deck equal to banished face-down cards' still works even if the number of banished face-down cards is more than the number of cards remaining in the opponent's deck on resolution.
Just tried it today (there were 15 cards remaining in the deck and there were 15 banished face-down cards at the time. When Diablosis's effect resolves there were 16 banished face-down cards and 14 cards in the opponent's deck)
