You focus on preventing Kashtira's searches. Tear still needs luck to pop off and if they run Kashtira bricks that get negated, they are just that much more inconsistent.
If you let Kashtira search, then they special summon Havnis, you are super fricked. Unicorn/Fenrir just thinned the deck to improve the Tear mills and you are getting you ED ripped, zone locked or more.

The link BLS can give some decks a lot of trouble especially if you can battle with it to get attack to 4500.
Sure spright and branded can just banish it away but target and destruction protection isn't nothing, been mucking with ostensibly pure kashtira and it's a decent turn 3 play as you have little trouble getting bodies back thanks to the trap and continuous spell.

This is really the core of the problem. Link BLS was my win condition in the Academy event. Even up through most of the MR4 Link era, 4500 + target + destruction protection was a challenge to handle.
Since POTE everything is effortlessly banished away, even shit in the GY is not safe, so there's a greater focus on summoning your lineup of bosses every turn and recycling/looping all your resources.

Not really. The kaiju, raigeki and monster reborn could be cut but that's down to my personal preference for 40 card decks. The decklist is already pretty optimised so the main thing you want to do is learn all the combo routes. Archfiend is usually the go to if you are summoning multiple assault dragons.

Chaos Angel works for Blackwing, cut the fenrir or possibly the bystials, cut one of the whirlwinds not the searcher but the one that summons when synchros hit the field and replace it with shamal.
Allure of darkness can go as well, get rid of the shangri-ira for chaos angel and either another assault dragon or the level 6 synchro.
Honestly it's pretty much fine if that's how you like it the main takeaway is Chaos Angel providing battle protection going first and a banish going second.

In yugioh you can't activate an effect if that effect is impossible to perform (for example, raigeki on an empty board is impossible because there are no monsters to destroy)

No that's how Diablosis works, otherwise it would be too powerful. If it says equal, it must be equal. If they wanted you to be able to banish however many you want, they'd write "up to". Same way why Runick cards stop functioning completely if their opponent is super low on cards, unless it's Runick Tip that banishes one or that other one that lets you choose "up to".
But I was able to banish 14 cards when there was 16 banished facedown cards, which was the point of confusion. It shouldn't work, but it did.

So Ogre's banish should have forced Diablosis to banish 16 cards, but he only had 15 cards in his deck so it shouldn't work, but it does. Maybe because Ogre's effect was chained to Diablosis, it only banishes the 15 that were face down at the time of activation?
At the time Diablosis's effect resolved, there was actually only 14 left in the deck.
Diablosis's trigger prompt showed up because there were exactly 15 cards in the deck and 15 banished face down cards, but after Ogre's effect there are 14 in the deck and 16 banished face-down

S3 was fricking the worst dogshit I had watched in a long time when I first saw it, and fyi, I watched that trash sub first. It's a nonstop session of CBT where every character whines and act OOC while the transfer students take the lion's share of screentime for their arcs that don't matter and get sidelined in the end by Jaden's dumb yandere hermaphrodite duel ghost.
I liked the transfer student characters personally, their duels in s3 are some of my favorite. It was obvious the writers didn't know what to do with the original cast at this point and they had had plenty of duels already anyway, so I was okay with something different. Also, I wanted to avoid spoilers regarding the Yubel thing incase someone in this thread wanted to watch it spoiler-free, but he isn't bodyjacked, that's an extremely dumb interpretation. He willingly fuses Yubel into himself, they don't swap out or anything. Yugioh often has these themes of duality (Yugi/pharaoh, Yuma/Astral, Yuya/Supreme King) so it's kino and fits really well.
But I won't continue this discussion any further because this is Ganker and not Ganker and you're entitled to your own opinion.

Just takes practice, as I said I don't have heroes but the combos are easy enough that I've got it memorized just from playing against them.
Basic stuff is like get malicious to grave, extend with elemental hero sunrise who adds miracle fusion, use links in conjunction with malicious to get pieces, absolute zero wipes even if you are the one to remove it, stuff like that.
Just practice, maybe look at some guides.
Hero is what you could consider a toolbox deck they've got a load of options and their guy stratos can search and remove traps so don't ignore that ability.
Plasma and Dark Angel doesn't work together because Plasma will negate Dark Angel.

I remember listening to herogay saying about needing 2 sunrise in kash format, so you want to keep an extra just in case.
Not being able to summon Sunrise isn't that big of a problem IMO since he's usually summoned if you can't fusion summon DPE on your first turn or if you already have an advantage and can spare your resources to summon it.
Your first turn priority should always be to summon DPE + Plasma on your first turn, and it's perfectly doable as long as you have Stratos + any other HERO monster (other than Plasma) on your starting hand, and you don't get your combo interrupted.

It's a situational card that fricks over decks that are reliant on spell cards (ie Runick, Branded), you summon it to your opponent's side of the field, and sometimes the opponent doesn't bother reading the effect and waste their spell cards.

Definitely agree. Diabellestar and Horus are showing signs if the new power creep. Also, the new Labrynth is just getting more and more insane.

Some of the earlier stuff is still funny and memeable, but TeamFourStar is just far more clever with their jokes.
YGO Abridged was and still is carried pretty heavily by memes and referential humor. Early DBZ Abridged was similar but while that evolved past that to become something better, YGO Abridged just sort of languished and regressed. It doesn't help that Little Kuriboh doesn't really give a frick about the card game aspect so you don't really get any humor out of the show's central premise unlike with something like DBZA which manages to incorporate the action sequences while maintaining good comedic pacing.

Pokemon that aren't like that can use their abilities just fine. Also, if you play your own stadium, you can get rid of it. It's an annoying card for sure, but it rarely stays on the field for very long. Typically you use it late in the game after you Iono your opponent's hand down to two card or whatever to limit their options.

Chess goes on for much longer than Bo3. Bo3 still doesn't remove luck from the equation. As the player going first at the start has an inherent advantage. Especially cause of the side deck. This is why Bo3 with multiple decks is better than Bo3 with a side deck.

Mana is exactly why it's more luck based. Leaving aside getting screwed by it, the player going first simply has access to more mana and is curving out much faster. It's easier for this advantage to snowball for them.
