Why the frick would I run this in all of my decks when it's not necessary and doesn't fit in my gameplan at all? I'm laughing at every idiot that bricks on this garbage and loses because of it.
I personally don't think Fenrir is all that good as a go-second board breaker, not compred to Pankratops or even Kurikara.
What makes it crazy is you summon it turn 1 and just sit on it, then you get to banish FD whenever your opponent does anything. Its disruption capabilities are much higher than its board beaker role.
Something important to note is that Fenrir's special summon effect is not once per turn, so if your opponent somehow gets rid of it, you can just summon the second Fenrir and go on with your day.
At this point I think we've gotten almost everything from the mix of DABL and PHHY except for the Kash stuff. So next pack is either a Kash double dip or CYAC starting in earnest.

ignore that moron. Blackwings is not for beginners. Buy Salamangreat, Dragonmaids, or Gaia. All of them are easy to play. You can get into Zombies or Blackwings after learning the basics.
Also consider the Swordsoul secret pack. Swordsoul is babby's first "good" deck.
Every synchro deck except for Swordsoul is infamous for filtering yugiboomers and newbies. Why do you think casuals love Swordsoul so much? It's the only synchro deck they can play.

If Mo Ye,Taia or NS Ecclesia get negated your turn ends. Swordsoul lives or dies based on the Normal Summon.
The only Swordsoul that special summons itself is Longyuan, which is the real reason people hate Swordsoul.
If you open Longyuan, Mo-Ye first you can make Sinister Soverign Longyuan and do a Hyper Librarian imitation by draw 2 into Pot of Desires.

Imperm literally does nothing if you topdeck it, it's a low impact board breaker that can't protect you from an OTK at all.

Veiler can be called and it also make TTT live. Even in my Chaos Decks, I stopped running it because it's punished too easily now.
Even when it does resolve it's low impact unless it hits something like Kitkallos or Robina.
Depends on your deck. Dragon Link runs Veiler over or before Imperm because Chaos Ruler can add it to hand. I also liked Veiler a year or so ago in IDS because of Maxx C draws and also a light target to summon Construct with Shaddoll Fusion. But that's ancient history at this point. I'm sure you'll find other examples like that for other decks, basically the additional utility is the only time you can justify Veiler over Imperm.
I made a list of (what I think are) generic staples that can fit into most any deck from the list of most used cards. But I'm a Yugi boomer, so I don't know how true this is.

So you play Zeus in Branded? What about Swordsoul? Dlink? If you're never playing with XYZ then why the frick would you ever craft Zeus? It's not a generically useful staple. The only reason Zeus is even at such a high playrate is because the most popular decks right now use XYZ so they use Zeus. If Tears and Sprights didn't exist Zeus wouldn't have as high playrates.

Yes, Swordsoul is bad. It can't run extenders or ways to ensure their Normal Summon goes through. They simply don't exist.
Robina is a hard chokepoint for Floo, but with Map, Advent, Book, Called and Crossout, they have many ways to ensure Robina resolves.
If you book Mo Ye you can't Synchro with it. Swordsoul has nothing like Map or Advent to get another Normal Summon. If you don't open Longyuan or emergence to summon it your turn is over.
Swordsoul gets laughed at in the TCG because Token Collector is an easy blowout card against it.
It is only good in Master Duel because a first turn Baronne + Chixiao + handtrap pass is a strong opening in bo1. Hell, even Heatsoul + Cynet Conflict + handtrap is strong in bo1.
We've had weird schizos hating on swordsouls since day 1. Honestly it's tiring to deal with and everyone that knows anything about the game knows they're wrong anyways since Swordsouls is still one of the few decks you can get to master 1 with without too much issue. >o-only because of ____ card

Swordsoul have numerous ways of playing through Token Collector and other handtraps. Hell, Swordsoul even in the TCG is still considered to be one of the better decks at going Second in the meta.

OCG and TCG are different products. OCG markets are very competitive for customers so the cards are cheap and the list is relaxed to have the widest appeal.
TCG has a paypig fanbase that will prostitute our for anything, so both set boxes and singles are expensive and the quality is poor. The banlist is curated to push new product and few casual decks are viable at an competitive level.

We have no lore other than being dragon girls working in a mansion for a certain master. We get some cute stuff like Laundry's struggle when her just washed blankets get dirty and she has to do the whole job all over again, and Kitchen and Parlor thinking about cake ideas to give House a surprise party while Chamber keeps her occupied.
MD players are pretty shit at deck building. Granted running 40 isn't a hard and fast rule, there's a lot of modern decks meta and casual where going over 40 is actually desirable, but 60 card decks being viable at all make people more gamblebrained in general and they say frick it and just run sacky shit with high ceilings from lucky hands in non-60 card decks.
Instant Fusion is the least clownish thing about the MD banlist because the card is so powerful even at 1 that it became sacky. Even before Kitkat that card is at minimum a free MER, and at worst it was Norden combos or Orcust summoning Winda and protecting her from being destroyed with Dinggirsu. Ready Fusion is a great card because it lets those early shit Fusions that never even saw play in the early 2000s see new life as extenders. I guess the same is true for Instant Contact.
Look beyond yugioh in the now and realize what has already happened in the past demonstrates how the card is ripe for abuse. Orcust was probably the best deck of TOSS format and Zoodiac obviously is probably the second strongest deck ever relative to its time period and they got Instant Fusion limited in the first place. And as far as MER, you can basically think of Instant Fusion as another copy of Called by the Grave. That's still really fricking good in a vacuum if you have ED space.

Called by the Grave is at 2, unlike in the shitters meta. There's no reason to devote 2 deckslots and spend 1000 LP just for another copy of Called.
I have no intention of dismantling cards I do not have at least 3 copies of. Doesn't matter if they're extra deck tech cards or if they're at 1 on the banlist forever.
I dust everything I don't use unless it's a fully crafted deck or potentially useful generic card. Like I have 1 effect veiler never used it but I might so I'll keep it.
I've learned not to dust cards unless I'm in real need of UR dust, I also make sure the cards are either not going to be useful in any upcoming decks or are plain trash before I dismantle them.
I dust everything but I've kept a few royals around that might be useful in events.

If you're seeing Lab playing EEV, you're most likely stuck in Plat because no one with a brain is playing Virus cards when the only thing they do is help Tearlaments. Same with handripping on Turn 1, it's a risky strategy and most of the time you'll only give your opponent a free search.

If Mo Ye,Taia or NS Ecclesia get negated your turn ends. Swordsoul lives or dies based on the Normal Summon.

Veiler can be called and it also make TTT live. Even in my Chaos Decks, I stopped running it because it's punished too easily now.

Depends on your deck. Dragon Link runs Veiler over or before Imperm because Chaos Ruler can add it to hand. I also liked Veiler a year or so ago in IDS because of Maxx C draws and also a light target to summon Construct with Shaddoll Fusion. But that's ancient history at this point. I'm sure you'll find other examples like that for other decks, basically the additional utility is the only time you can justify Veiler over Imperm.

Robina is a hard chokepoint for Floo, but with Map, Advent, Book, Called and Crossout, they have many ways to ensure Robina resolves.
If you book Mo Ye you can't Synchro with it. Swordsoul has nothing like Map or Advent to get another Normal Summon. If you don't open Longyuan or emergence to summon it your turn is over.
Swordsoul gets laughed at in the TCG because Token Collector is an easy blowout card against it.
It is only good in Master Duel because a first turn Baronne + Chixiao + handtrap pass is a strong opening in bo1. Hell, even Heatsoul + Cynet Conflict + handtrap is strong in bo1.

Swordsoul have numerous ways of playing through Token Collector and other handtraps. Hell, Swordsoul even in the TCG is still considered to be one of the better decks at going Second in the meta.

TCG has a paypig fanbase that will prostitute our for anything, so both set boxes and singles are expensive and the quality is poor. The banlist is curated to push new product and few casual decks are viable at an competitive level.

Instant Fusion is the least clownish thing about the MD banlist because the card is so powerful even at 1 that it became sacky. Even before Kitkat that card is at minimum a free MER, and at worst it was Norden combos or Orcust summoning Winda and protecting her from being destroyed with Dinggirsu. Ready Fusion is a great card because it lets those early shit Fusions that never even saw play in the early 2000s see new life as extenders. I guess the same is true for Instant Contact.

Look beyond yugioh in the now and realize what has already happened in the past demonstrates how the card is ripe for abuse. Orcust was probably the best deck of TOSS format and Zoodiac obviously is probably the second strongest deck ever relative to its time period and they got Instant Fusion limited in the first place. And as far as MER, you can basically think of Instant Fusion as another copy of Called by the Grave. That's still really fricking good in a vacuum if you have ED space.

If you're seeing Lab playing EEV, you're most likely stuck in Plat because no one with a brain is playing Virus cards when the only thing they do is help Tearlaments. Same with handripping on Turn 1, it's a risky strategy and most of the time you'll only give your opponent a free search.
