Good banlist. Gutting slop decks like 60 card Branded Bystial Tear is a good start. The random spright jet and swap frog does nothing to spright while Elf is still legal at 3x. I wish they banned Kelbek over Agito so I can get 60 UR dust but fricking israelitenomi.

What morons don't realize is that while Dragon Link is broken IN THEORY, it requires a genuinely high IQ and months, if not years, of dedicated training in order to play optimally, making the deck honest in practice. Only a handful of people can play it at full power without missplaying constantly. It's like Rachel in Blazblue or Johnny in Xrd, the high execution required to play it makes it balanced.
Any moron can memorize a flowchart and "play" the deck in a couple of days at the most, but truly understanding the deck requires lots of time and natural challenge

Spheres + Baronne is a pretty strong board in a meta where Baronne + Chixiao pass is considered oppressive.
I've never found Dragon Link's endboard to be scary. It's easy to dismantle with board breakers. Shit only gets scary when Baronne and Bystials are in the mix. None of D-Link's bosses can actually neg you cards (Borrelend, Hot Red, and Borreload do not destroy). Baldrake and Baronne do.
baronne and chixiao pass is not appressive, it's that plus the 3 handtraps on hand that make it oppressive you baboon.

It's not an anime deck, the Dragunity cards and Chaos cards are not part of the Rokket engine.
Link era decks also are underpowered compared to what came before and after. The design philosophy was effect negation so you can continue Link summon which is why almost no Link bosses negate + destroy.

It's meta relevant in the OCG because a good number of GY spam cards are unhit or the hits don't matter because the card is perfectly serviceable at the number it is. At this point Tear is a mill deck and even if every Tear name got banned Mill would still be meta relevant because the OCG neglected hitting GY for ages.
Tear is a lot worse now that they've lost 1 miller, have 1 Kelbek, and 2 copies of a mermaid name. I think Ishizu Tear as its been played the past few months is basically done. But as an engine in combo decks like PUNK that shit out Chaos Ruler it's very alive.
D Link is probably the best deck in the format now at least until Tear gets Tearlaments Kashtira.

Traps are the worst card type. They need to be this strong to justify their existence. Traps that can only be used in battle unironically need to read "shuffle your entire opponent field to deck" to be playable anymore. It's the slowest card type, it's the most restrictive card type, it's the easiest card type to play around, and it's somehow the least potent too for some reason. That's why they're now only making traps that can be flipped any time or activated turn 1, or from hand. 10 years ago battle traps were king, but they had a complete decade of power creep were they were given nothing.
Traps that have trigger conditions should be spell speed 3. Traps that can be activated whenever don’t deserve to be called traps. They are just spells with extra steps. They are called traps because if the opponent accidentally trigger it they should be punished by it. Not oh no, anyway chain Baronne?
There aren't really any good rank 3 decks in general so no. It only saw play in PK and VW because of the Rhongo abuse. Turning a monster effect into letting the opponent draw is not ideal.

What morons don't realize is that while Dragon Link is broken IN THEORY, it requires a genuinely high IQ and months, if not years, of dedicated training in order to play optimally, making the deck honest in practice. Only a handful of people can play it at full power without missplaying constantly. It's like Rachel in Blazblue or Johnny in Xrd, the high execution required to play it makes it balanced.

I've never found Dragon Link's endboard to be scary. It's easy to dismantle with board breakers. Shit only gets scary when Baronne and Bystials are in the mix. None of D-Link's bosses can actually neg you cards (Borrelend, Hot Red, and Borreload do not destroy). Baldrake and Baronne do.
baronne and chixiao pass is not appressive, it's that plus the 3 handtraps on hand that make it oppressive you baboon.

Tear is NEVER going away anon. It's still meta relevant in the OCG and it's even stronger here.
It's meta relevant in the OCG because a good number of GY spam cards are unhit or the hits don't matter because the card is perfectly serviceable at the number it is. At this point Tear is a mill deck and even if every Tear name got banned Mill would still be meta relevant because the OCG neglected hitting GY for ages.
Tear is a lot worse now that they've lost 1 miller, have 1 Kelbek, and 2 copies of a mermaid name. I think Ishizu Tear as its been played the past few months is basically done. But as an engine in combo decks like PUNK that shit out Chaos Ruler it's very alive.

Traps are the worst card type. They need to be this strong to justify their existence. Traps that can only be used in battle unironically need to read "shuffle your entire opponent field to deck" to be playable anymore. It's the slowest card type, it's the most restrictive card type, it's the easiest card type to play around, and it's somehow the least potent too for some reason. That's why they're now only making traps that can be flipped any time or activated turn 1, or from hand. 10 years ago battle traps were king, but they had a complete decade of power creep were they were given nothing.
Traps that have trigger conditions should be spell speed 3. Traps that can be activated whenever don’t deserve to be called traps. They are just spells with extra steps. They are called traps because if the opponent accidentally trigger it they should be punished by it. Not oh no, anyway chain Baronne?
