No I haven't. Just speaking generally. I've had really good Spanish food at restaurants before, and I love South American dishes. It's just that Mexico utterly mogs them in variety. They're the Italians, food-wise, of North America.
If your reference for any of these foods is what you've tried in the US and mexico, you cant seriously consider that you have had the chance to compare them fairly.
Specially since spanish food has a lot more todo with italian food, ingredient and variety-wise. There's just not much history of immigration of spaniards in the us compared to mexicans and italians during the early XX century.
