Remakes would actually be good if they improved the aesthetics of any given game, and improved it's gameplay in meaningful ways. It's easy to be cynical about remakes, but if the team is genuinely creative and setting out to perfect their game, as was the case with Resident Evil (2002), it can be a good thing.

Looks cool, but looks like MP2 Max, when it's pretty obvious they were building it up for Sam Lake to reprise the face. It's probably just because it's concept art or something.

Max Payne 3 was on the right track with designing actual levels that suggest that bullet time and shoot dodge actually have a reason to exist. But honestly, the annoying parts of that game is how little bullet time lasts, and how many times id just get insta shot by some dude I couldn't even see until I got into cover.
Oh Oh. Also they should make rolling way smoother. Rolling into cover should be smoother. Also you should be able to shoot dodge into roll. Not sure how to go about this because it sounds broken. But just make roll have conditional stamina or some shit when you shoot dodge. Like stamina only exists when you shoot dodge into roll because of some made up excuse of how much stamina it would take to combine the two.
Otherwise. MP3 is basically the best TPS I've ever played. Just some things that irk me. I'm probably forgetting more of those things but yeah...
They could maybe make level design more interconnected too? But ehhhh the games are linear at their core. That sounds like something that could very easily be done poorly. But yeah.
