I will never understand Black folk logic about remasters and remakes towards 7th gen consoles. There is literally no point to that. Why even bother when those games were already widescreen? And if you use emulator with upscaling you basically get your remaster looking version at that point, that includes weird 6.5th gen consoles like PSP. Nah they COULD have lived up to that, they showed flashes of brilliance such as parrying the Chainsaw (pretty sure 99% of people did a soiface screaming OOOOOOOOOHHH at that part in the trailer), but they didn't commit to the CUH-RAY-ZEE stuff.

nah it feels superior because since movement is an actual skill alongside aiming, the whole gameplay loop feels more involved, more tense, and more deliberate, like you're making something happen, SOLELY because you took the right actions, not for any other random external reason like being able to run and shoot at the same time. Simple. Also first playthroughs is all that matters for these games, before some moron comes in and says "heh, game was so easy for me after my unmentioned morbillionth time playing"

I think my first RER4 playthrough took me 27 hours while original RE4 was 24, it's pretty much equal in length but you can do much more here.
