They also got a Gundam game announcement. Which was already confirmed for western release. Makes zero sense to have the differences between Japan and WW.
I once saw a poster that had stuff about the dragon ball super broly movie but also something precure, I guess the idea was fathers could take their daughters to see precure and then they get to make their daughters sit through dragon ball but I can't read nip and I never saved the image so it could have been anything really
we've started getting official western releases of super robot wars, which would have been unheard of even five years ago. licensing isn't the obstacle it used to be.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Tsubaraya and Bamco are just trying to gauge interest in Ultraman since it's global resurgence is more of a recent thing. Once it gets more popular, then KT and Bamco will release it over here.
ultraman showed up as dlc in override 2 of all games a couple years ago, so they're definitely not opposed to bringing ultraman content to the west.

mind you they only brought over Netflix Ultraman a.k.a. manga Ultraman, which is massively different from actual Ultraman

Reminder that Ultraman isn't new to the west either. Ultraman and Ultraseven were dubbed in the 60s and 70s, Jonius was partially dubbed in the 80s, a Hanna-Barbera miniseries in the early 90s along with two western productions (Great & Powered) that aired on Fox, plus the Tiga dub in the early 00s.

at least post the cartoon and not that weird 3d render

It's not a 3D render, the Hanna-Barbera Ultras came back in The Destined Crossroads.

Yeah, a lot of Ultramen from across the franchise appeared in series, and unlike Zero's original movie, they weren't just cameos. Even Nice, Zearth and Boy got some time to shine. It was pretty crazy seeing Scott and Jonius fight together, since one's from a cartoon and the other's from an anime.

Jonius is a 70s anime, The Adventure Begins is a 90s Hanna-Barbera cartoon, and the Netflix show is CGI.

Live-action miniseries, 10 episodes. Unlike the preivous miniseries (The Absolute Conspiracy, which is on youtube), you gotta pay for The Destined Crossroads though.

It was a neat decision making all the animated Ultras white instead of silver

Yeah, it kinda makes them look more like their animated counterparts.

This only further proves the point that Ultraman characters should be in MultiVersus.

Whats the connection between Lowe or Cartoon Planet and i presume the Ultraseven dub? This seems random as hell to bring up.

One day I need to sit down and watch all of this show
If its like bamcos other games, they will probably launch the game for pc, localized for asian markets by default. Theres a chance that like SRW 30, the game will have a worldwide pc release, but that part is yet to be seen.
>tfw my wife only got a shitty minigame collection game for toddlers instead of a shitty beat'em up for toddlers
Not fair
>Being a lupinogay
Figures... its obvious LOS PATOS are better. But yeah, the fact that sentai and precure dont have games anymore, not even cheapass gachas, is depressing.
Nobody knows honestly. Maybe bamco though the additional costs for bringing the console versions weren't worth it (like they didn't want to release it digital only but they also didn't wanto to pay to produce physical copies). Or maybe they found a license loophole that only works on Steam (but then why are SRWV and X region locked?)
Since SD Gundam Battle also releases on consoles looking at how many languages it supports maybe someone demands that games with Gundam in it released on consoles must have full text translations in multiple european languages?
There is a decent chance this gets a global release since the people who own Ultraman have been really trying to get into the global market. Fricking Marvel is publishing an Ultraman comic, so they will most likely want this game to release worldwide.
I guess it makes sense since the kaiju are just big animals, but it would have been interesting if you also were able to unlock/raise Ultras too. Its not like the Monster rancher franchise doesnt have humanoid monsters too.
But then why not show it at the english direct
and as I write that I remember that the people at NoA will probably take any chance to declare anything overtly japanese in nature as not worth showing
shin chan is getting en release there is still hope but as long as we have all voices and music not removed I'd take en other than that rather play jp.
I hope that when 8ing is done working on DNF Duel, they can do a new KR fighting game for Bamco. Hopefully one that's lest Climax Fighters and more Climax Heroes.
I just want ports of 3 and 4, and a new game already. I'm glad to see they have a new build of it, but use it with actual Monster Rancher monsters for the love of god. I'll even take a point of Evo at this point, just give me something
They had a classic collection a bit ago, now they have a crossover woth a highly popular (in japan) series. It's the makings of a comeback, a testing of the waters.
Now we just need that comeback to come back to the west.
Who knows, they've been pretty tight-lipped about an international release. Its gonna be at 2 festivals in America, and its crossed the 4 Billion Yen mark so hopefully soon
I hope the pull from more than just the newest show and the original. I want a bunch of aliens to raise.
At least post Monster Rancher you dumbass
I hate japanese culture so much its unreal
Zetton Breeding??!?
I love japanese culture so much its unreal
>sevengar
kino
>everything is a kaiju
>except him
They're shilling him full force
That thing behind it looks like a robot.
Yes, King Joe is a robot. Also, Dada is a virus. Kaijus don't have to be flesh and blood.
Sevenger was a Kaiju originally. All the Mechs in Z are based of old monsters; Windom, Sevenger and King Joe.
CUTE!
Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher? Weird concept, but I'm sure it'll be fun.
Wait what? Is this a Monster Rancher game?
Yes, but with Ultraman kaiju.
They also got a Gundam game announcement. Which was already confirmed for western release. Makes zero sense to have the differences between Japan and WW.
>Bandai Namco
So did KT frick up and lose MR somehow?
Bamco handles Ultraman merchandising and licensing
Exactly. The last time an Ultraman game was released was part of the "Nari Kids Park" of Bamco. And it was about R/B.
>Ultraman AND PreCure
I'm only slightly upset
I once saw a poster that had stuff about the dragon ball super broly movie but also something precure, I guess the idea was fathers could take their daughters to see precure and then they get to make their daughters sit through dragon ball but I can't read nip and I never saved the image so it could have been anything really
>tfw my wife only got a shitty minigame collection game for toddlers instead of a shitty beat'em up for toddlers
Not fair
We are never getting this in the west are we?
You'll be lucky if they do a SEA version that you can import.
maybe next year
they brought the ports of 1 and 2 to the west, i don't see why this wouldn't come as well.
license

The moment SRW30 released worldwide on Steam it's the moment the license excuse no longer holds
Didnt SRW30 get a Switch and PS4 version in Japan? How vone its a Steam exclusive in the west?
Nobody knows honestly. Maybe bamco though the additional costs for bringing the console versions weren't worth it (like they didn't want to release it digital only but they also didn't wanto to pay to produce physical copies). I want to breed Kaijus and defeat ultraman!
aizenborg is wack
Wait why wouldn't this have been at the english direct?
international licensing
Oh I see it's ultraman so probably not even coming to the west
I mean, Ultraman already has multiple presence in the west.
There is a decent chance this gets a global release since the people who own Ultraman have been really trying to get into the global market. Fricking Marvel is publishing an Ultraman comic, so they will most likely want this game to release worldwide.

There's been games that have only been in japanese directs only to get an english release anyway.
Not many, but it happens.
SRW30 was first presented on a japanese direct last year, and look where we are now.
Digimon Survive was in the Japanese direct only and that is releasing worldwide next month.
>But then why not show it at the english direct
Because the marketing division thinks Westerners aren't interested in the really Japanese shit.
shin chan is getting en release there is still hope but as long as we have all voices and music not removed I'd take en other than that rather play jp.
Is this just a kaiju pet raiser?
*yawn*
You can fight kaiju too, you ever played Monster Rancher?
In jp monster rancher is monster farm. I wonder how close they will be though.
Can we get a new ultraman fighting or rpg? A remaster would be acceptable too.
>Project P still a ways off
>Bandai have the game rights so Tsubarya couldn't even back it like they did the SUIT manga
bros...
why cant bandai pull their heads out of their asses and get some good Toku games going. I hear Memory of Heroez is good at least
>I hear Memory of Heroez is good at least
no it wasn't, it was trash
the last good rider game was climax heroes
I hope that when 8ing is done working on DNF Duel, they can do a new KR fighting game for Bamco. Hopefully one that's lest Climax Fighters and more Climax Heroes.
>this instead of a proper sequel to 2
Come the frick on already I've been waiting for over 20 years
Can't I just make a JP account and download these games anyways
>Monster Rancher with Ultraman monsters
I don't know, seems cool, would play it.
I just want ports of 3 and 4, and a new game already. I'm glad to see they have a new build of it, but use it with actual Monster Rancher monsters for the love of god. I'll even take a point of Evo at this point, just give me something
Who is strongest kaiju?
Is that fricking monster rancher? I thought this shit died in the 90s
It’s coming back. The first 2 games are on Switch and PC. And there’s a new mobile game in the works.
They had a classic collection a bit ago, now they have a crossover woth a highly popular (in japan) series. It's the makings of a comeback, a testing of the waters.
Now we just need that comeback to come back to the west.
KT has been doing Monster Rancher for the past couple years now, though this is technically the first NEW one in a long time.
I tried hard to get into that mmo before it was purged.
when is shin ultraman goig to be available online?
No idea, but watch this for now.
implying i havent seen this at least 15 times at this point. good one anon
No harm in watching it again!
fair enough
Who knows, they've been pretty tight-lipped about an international release. Its gonna be at 2 festivals in America, and its crossed the 4 Billion Yen mark so hopefully soon
