How long did it take for underrail to really click for you?
For me, had to play like 50 hours of various characters wondering if to just quit it all, but then I started on the hardest difficulty and everything is so much more FUN now and I can't wait to finish this run so I can start with another char to get all the lore...
gametime soon 200 hours now
first time I played it I dumped all points in crafting mercantile and only guns, basically only ever put points in 8 skills, so i never encountered the whole 'useless build' thing which everyone seems to whine about, loved the game from the start, recently played dominating using cheat engine to give 2 feats per level, so much more fun in general
this game has superb lore and dialogue too, a lot of depth with the fewest words possible, other rpgs have flowery words with the length of some homosexuals college essay, but yet all they say is go here kill this, but in this game everyone has actual interesting things to tell you
>'useless build' thing
those come from people who didn't put anything into any combat skill and then complained game is shit because you can't talk and sneak through all of the problems
I did one playthrough and never bothered playing again when I finished. I think the devs changing shit up/nerfing psionics in a SINGLE PLAYER game just made me never want to "click" with it.
There's a good/decent game here, but I wish the devs would leave shit alone instead of "muh balance" shit constantly.
>How long did it take for underrail to really click for you?
Until I made a high dex build that let me buttfrick everything in the game with the sole exception of the beast.
Has any new content been released since the expedition?
ANSWER MY QUESTION WHEN EVEN IS THE FINAL UPDATE
styg said theres one big bang unclefricking update before he fully goes into infusion, i think maybe this year but not sure

nah they just aimlessly send you here and there witth minimal story or anything so its kinda dull
>this game is one of my personal 10/10s
absolutely, a shining light in the darkness of mediocre games. and games with this good tactical combat are even rarer, a real treat.
All Black folk, pajeets, trannies and other lgbtqp++ degenerates should be killed and forever purged form this world
Do you agree?
Does this game agrees with that? if not, it supports it and so do you
it's the kind of game where you are asked to build a character first thing without knowing anything about what is viable and is not, have fun replaying the beginning until you figure it out
Also it's pretty important to keep damage thresholds in mind. The number next to your resistance is that threshold, meaning you will ignore all damage from that type if it's below the threshhold. Things like bulletproof vests increase that threshold by 200% so it's good to understand how it works. Oh and crafting is really important, especially tailoring and mechanics. Quality is all that matters so don't worry about hoarding shitty <60 quality items early on, I think they drop higher quality depending on your level. No shame in checking wiki to see how many materials there are for each recipe.
Don't try and use multiple types of attack. If you're good with guns or melee or psi or whatever you can use them to finish the game. If you try to be good with all of them then you end up sucking with all of them and the game becomes too hard. Maybe impossibly hard.
It's pretty self-explanatory. Focus on either guns, crossbows, psi stuff or melee as your main combat skill. Throwing is useful even without investing lots of points into it. You can use character planner to see how many attributes you need for each perk if you want to attempt at minmaxing your starting attributes. Bigger guns, even something like assault rifles, require more STR to equip so keep that in mind. Same goes for heavy armor. Also play on normal difficulty, it's challenging enough and every build that isn't a shitty jack-of-all-trades should be viable there.

>the game claims its giving you a CHOICE, to take the psi pill or not take the psi pill >but whoops you have to take it because temporal manipulation is mandatory >if you made the wrong decision, a decision that only exists because the game gives it to you and thus implies both choices are equivalent, its your own fault
It was pretty good but without some foreknowledge it was far too frustrating to recommend. Yes, focus on 1 weapon. Or better yet, just look up a character build and use that, otherwise you'll give up when you realize you fricked up your build 10 hours ago
I think I'm the only one that lucked out by wanting max stats on whatever I invested in because not once did I get fricked by build or anything ever because of spreading stats thin
It's not actually hard to make a good character. A lot of people just have zero experience with RPGs so they have no clue how to even begin making one. It's like expecting someone who's never played a shooter before in their life to play an FPS. Of course they're not going to be good at it.
also a tip, the max fun you can have is by playing on dominating but using cheat engine to give 2-3 feats instead of 1 (no stat etc boosting only feats)

or spread themselves over all the skills

well good thing he won't be fiddling with the balance anymore soon enough. psi is still extremely strong anyway.

Has any new content been released since the expedition?
Does this game play anything like Fallout 1/2?
Should I join the pirates?
ANSWER MY QUESTION WHEN EVEN IS THE FINAL UPDATE

AH FRICK ILL HAVE TO WAIT SO MUCH MORE

All Black folk, pajeets, trannies and other lgbtqp++ degenerates should be killed and forever purged form this world
Do you agree?
Does this game agrees with that? if not, it supports it and so do you
I think you might be getting this game confused with something else.
you did reply, and thus this game is definitely troony loving garbage and so are you.
Of not please answer the questions
i've had this game for a while but havent tried it
is there anything i should know or can i just jump in and enjoy myself

Nothing scales to level. Certain merchants can have higher quality items as you progress the main quest, but that's it.

How many games are there now with "Under" in the name?
go back to sucking dicks on reddit
it's a "hidden" joke from transsexuals
medical attention, seek it
>turn-based game
I generally dislike TB myself, but Underrail is one of the few games I found to pull it off well. Except when you're against the fricking natives.

yea and if you manage to get past depot a your build is good enough anyway, and that's pretty early into the game.

that shit makes the game an absolute blast
