Overview of these 6:
>Arbok
A menace on psychic terrain teams. The psychic typing is in reference to its hypnotic powers, strong jaw is a PMD reference. Maybe the hood's jaw gets usable fangs?
>Krookodile
Spam bulk up and power trip. Taunt, shore up, scale shot, or substitute as needed. Krookodile should've had tinted lens as a normal ability.
>Kecleon
Idk, just want it to be able to use its special movepool with protean while still doing its usual stuff like drain punch and knock off. Kinda cool to have a normal/ghost to switch into things before it attacks. Not in love with this one.
>Sceptile
We trained the first one wrong, as a joke. Sharpness makes leaf blade and night slash stupid, but the rest of its physical movepool being unboosted makes this a bit less busted. Belly drum is there to go all in, or for when megas get cut again.
>Tropius
Learns u-turn as of gen 9, would work great with auto tailwind.
>Hydrapple
Feels like you're fighting an actual hydra; way harder to kill than the normal hydrapple. All the syrupents become one, and the candy apple breaks down into a toxic pool that they hide in.
Pangoro carried my team for both X and sword version. Love to see it get a mega

I dont want a Mega Kecleon, I just want it to be able to use Gen 6 Protean again. Its fun being able to run Feint/SuckerPunch/ShadowSneak/DrainPunch to out juke opponents. Using an assault vest also made it pretty bulky. Doubt it'd stand up to the Gen 9 powercreep but eh.
More power industrial strength stalling and a buffed Movepool so it has the option of using it's Water STAB. Design wise it'd have a similar concept to Mega Aerodactyl where it becomes closer to its original form from Prehistoric times.

They're all bad. Tauros and Alakazam should be the gold standard for attackers. Anything more than that is overkill and I hate gen 4 for setting this horrible precedent of constant powercreep.
Well yes, you're right, but the problem is the power creep already happened, and megas have to compete with the kinda shit from gen 8/9 which have overtuned stats and overtuned abilities without even needing to give up their held item.

Ability: Inverse Aura, all stat changes in play get reversed. Kind of situational but great trolling potential

Idk shit about stat balancing but kid me is still sad they only gave megas to 2 gens of starters cause I was waiting for all of them to get them (especially Infernape)
Instead of going for an obvious op +50 Speed +25 Spatk +25 Atk, how about they stop pretending Infernape is a mixed attacker (they already gave it Iron Fist as a HA, and its ratio of physical to special moves is like 4:1) and instead turn it into a bulkier endurance fighter

Unless ZA made some mechanical changes to mega evolution, they don't add HP. I'd suggest dumping the 30+ HP to DEF instead to take better advantage of Stamina
Ah yeah forgot that HP was the only stat that didn't change. Ah well, if Zygarde can boost HP with its 100% form I guess it's not entirely out of the question.

that's a big problem with bringing back mega's. they can't just give them out because now they are giving old pokemon new evos again. now mawile can never get a new evolution for example.
Tbh they could absolutely handwave it as "wow these pokemon learned how to naturally evolve and unlock their potential after collective exposure to mega energy" or something like that to allow Mega Sableye, Mawile, Pinsir, Heracross, Kangaskhan etc etc to exist as new evolutions, and simply not have their mega stones exist in future games that bring back megas. They already kind of did this with Duraludon having a Gmax and then getting a new evolution.
I want to see mega evolutions for Aurorus and Tyrantrum.
