He is absolutely going to be the final dlc boss, but there will most likely be secret optional hidden bosses harder than him that will be end up being considered as the TRUE final boss.
I think he's going to be the Artorius or Maria of the DLC, meaning that he's the "face" of it while not actually being the toughest boss.
Also don't forget that collaboration Xbox controller company leaked that there'll be an "expansion" in 2025 too. Might be a two part DLC like Dark Souls 3.

If I had to guess, Miquella has conjured some dream world where in it certain people from past exist. This might be a dragon era lord. There's a catacombs called "Impalers Catacombs" in game which I always found odd.

Liurnia lake / magic - blue.
Giants - orange (both on the giants weak spots, and the volcano mt gelmir their home)

part of it had to do loosely with certain enemy types being resistant to X damage but weak to Y damage, and it seemed like there needed to be a new one. We had every color of the rainbow featured prominently in certain themes except for pink, and a large eastern area on the 'ring' of the continent being blank / ocean and to me it seemed like white and red were the last two locations.
oh and I suppose the loathsome dung eater and the seedbed curse could be 'brown' if we really want to go there, even though all the color themes there are red and black.

I felt like the pots are more of a soup of many people rather than the personality of a single person. When you get potted to avoid getting sucked up by the roots, you give up your individuality as the price and become a part of a greater whole within the jar.
I figured there was consent for a couple reasons:

pots are taboo among the tree-faithful. the poachers (who i suspect to be the dudes around the various trees in the world based on the collection of pots near them) are seen as a threat to the otherwise peaceful jar people.
it also seems like the mages are friends with them. protecting/hiding them in the academy and the manor.
That makes a lot of sense. So the poachers aren't hunting them because of heresy necessarily, they are just trying to get their pots back since they got up and wandered off before they could dump them on the roots.
They push the jars to fight back, spurring warrior jars. Warrior jars eat up more flesh before still returning to the trees eventually. They hea a call to adventure and get more flesh than others, then when they die another jar eats them to continue the cycle.
It is like the snake but you never lose yourself, you only incorporate the other into who you are and stay you.
Jar-Bairn's questline is sad as frick.

Bloodborne and DS3s dlcs were meaty in proportion to the games they were expanding upon. I foresee SOtE to be their most expansive if the size of the overworld is anything to go by.
When the Erd Tree was burned the first time, it cast a shadow metaphorically similar to how Shadows were left of people after Hiroshima. The first burn of the Erdtree created a Shadow World, Marika was involved in the first burning. Radagon is the child of Messmer, who was the Fell Flame empyrean.
Get up to speed moron, the Erd Tree in the game is a hologram after it was already burned down (Melina already burned it down before, look at her hands). Capital is already covered in Ash and people liquified to corpse wax inside their houses for a reason.
The Crucible was when the current Erd Tree that was burned down was grafted into the roots of a much older World Tree.
Gigantic meteor smashed in and made the central hole in the map and destroyed the World Tree and part of the stump is what the Erd Tree was planted on.

It's not an illusion, that's just people mistaking a glitch from the divine bridge of Limgrave. If you look at the Erdtree with a scope, let alone zoom in, the glitch immediately stops. The Crucible is just the name for the juvenile Erdtree, even the Crucible Knights' gear says this, and the Finger Reader outside Leyndell calls the Erdtree the great tree as well, so the "greattree" is just a mistranslation in the English script regarding some roots being severed from the main Erdtree.
Also, Bernahl's Finger Maiden is the one who burned the Erdtree the first time, his armor (minus the helmet) says as much. The ashes are from that first burning that might be the reason why a lot of the lower branches don't have leaves.
Miquella. Messmer is a word related to hypnotism. The whole point being Miquella isn't the cute blonde bussy, thats a trick and this is his real form which explains why his egg body is so gross and similar to Messmers. Snake regent because he's a betrayer

You can just get the Hidden Medallion to access the Haligtree, then take a waygate in the Consecrated Snowfield near where the Sanguine Noble invades. The Fire Giant doesn't have to be defeated, and Varre's quest doesn't have to be done either.

I felt like the pots are more of a soup of many people rather than the personality of a single person. When you get potted to avoid getting sucked up by the roots, you give up your individuality as the price and become a part of a greater whole within the jar.
I didn't think people had a choice in the matter, I just assumed someone was potting them for evil reasons
I figured there was consent for a couple reasons:
everyones looking for alternatives to avoid the roots because the trees fricked up.
pots are taboo among the tree-faithful. the poachers (who i suspect to be the dudes around the various trees in the world based on the collection of pots near them) are seen as a threat to the otherwise peaceful jar people.
it also seems like the mages are friends with them. protecting/hiding them in the academy and the manor.
The pots are used to transport remains to the Erdtrees, it's just that putting a bunch of corpses in the pots made some of them come to life.
That makes a lot of sense. So the poachers aren't hunting them because of heresy necessarily, they are just trying to get their pots back since they got up and wandered off before they could dump them on the roots.
They push the jars to fight back, spurring warrior jars. Warrior jars eat up more flesh before still returning to the trees eventually. They hea a call to adventure and get more flesh than others, then when they die another jar eats them to continue the cycle.
It is like the snake but you never lose yourself, you only incorporate the other into who you are and stay you.

When the Erd Tree was burned the first time, it cast a shadow metaphorically similar to how Shadows were left of people after Hiroshima. The first burn of the Erdtree created a Shadow World, Marika was involved in the first burning. Radagon is the child of Messmer, who was the Fell Flame empyrean.

Get up to speed moron, the Erd Tree in the game is a hologram after it was already burned down (Melina already burned it down before, look at her hands). Capital is already covered in Ash and people liquified to corpse wax inside their houses for a reason.
The Crucible was when the current Erd Tree that was burned down was grafted into the roots of a much older World Tree.
Gigantic meteor smashed in and made the central hole in the map and destroyed the World Tree and part of the stump is what the Erd Tree was planted on.

It's not an illusion, that's just people mistaking a glitch from the divine bridge of Limgrave. If you look at the Erdtree with a scope, let alone zoom in, the glitch immediately stops. The Crucible is just the name for the juvenile Erdtree, even the Crucible Knights' gear says this, and the Finger Reader outside Leyndell calls the Erdtree the great tree as well, so the "greattree" is just a mistranslation in the English script regarding some roots being severed from the main Erdtree.
Also, Bernahl's Finger Maiden is the one who burned the Erdtree the first time, his armor (minus the helmet) says as much. The ashes are from that first burning that might be the reason why a lot of the lower branches don't have leaves.

Varre gives you a handkercheif to soak in blood after doing 3 invasions. Soak it in maiden blood and he gives you an item that warps you to the mogh fight in the palace.
You can do it in literally 5 minutes from starting the game.

You can just get the Hidden Medallion to access the Haligtree, then take a waygate in the Consecrated Snowfield near where the Sanguine Noble invades. The Fire Giant doesn't have to be defeated, and Varre's quest doesn't have to be done either.
The giants were killed by being Impaled and their Fell Flame was snuffed out, just a reminder.
