kinda pointless - MGS2 engine with first person view makes the whole thing too easy. entire dub was redone but everyone phoned it in this time. Mei Ling & Naomi both drop their accents. you've probably heard about the cutscenes, and how those were handed over to a super over-the-top action director making them play more like Devil May Cry. fun, but jarring considering the tone.

Kojima's games have a great mixture of serious story telling and funny, lighthearted moments, we fricking know that, zoomie. I feel like the game took stuff from mgs2 but didn't retroactively apply any of the balance changes. I would probably recommend cranking up the difficulty since normal is piss easy with tranqs
original is better but it's still fine I guess. it's always neat to replay an older game you played when you were young through a new lens, I would say that Black Mesa and the RE remakes did it way better though.

it has some cool upgrades, but it's also less cool than the original in many ways
