delta will lead directly into physint
SSS SSS
MG S6
how did you go from SSS to MG?
>Social stealth system obviously alluding towards metal gear
>death stranding directors cut metal gear references
>kojima is asked directly if physint is metal gear and doesn't give a straight answer
>exclamation mark on the robots in the DS2 trailer
>hidden exclamation mark in the reflection of Sophia Lillis' eye during the OD trailer
it's still speculation but kojimbo is always dropping little hints on what his next project will about. it really seems like he's getting ready to return to metal gear. it would make a lot of sense imo if playstation brokered some kind of deal between kojima and konami to produce a new metal gear title as an exclusive for the PS6 (S6), especially given how desperate sony is for games. I also just don't think Kojima would ever make another "tactial espionage action" game without it being the real metal gear.
i like your brain anon
i like you too buddy
>based good dale poster as well
now i like you even more, wish i could get you a black coffee on the house man
never be game over
we still haven't found tape 3.
>manhatten
wtf is this? context?
that's amazing, i knew about the lord of the flies mission but i must have completely skipped that New York scene at the end
i wonder if there was originally some sort of tie to mgs2?
this is one of a lot of MGS2 references, i think V and 2 are pretty closely connected. it's pretty strongly implied that what they used to create venom snake is the original S3 plan, ocelot says that venom snake experienced all of BB's missions which presumably means vr training. there's also a secret in one of the trailers where you can hear morse code of the letter S repeated multiple times.
i've always wondered what the significance of the twin towers was though, especially with the prequel game being called ground zeroes and V opening with a plane crash. still replaying the games and trying to figure this stuff out.
it wasn't vr. Ocelot over the course of Venom's coma was having him mentally relive bb's life through hypnosis.
S3 plan
Your power level isn’t high enough to understand
it's called delta because the symbol has THREE points
this is the only reason konami ever gave for it to be called delta
>triangle is a reference to totsugawa heavy industries
>triangle is the V from MGSV colored green and upside down
>delta means change
>delta is the mouth of a river
>delta waves are brain waves measured during sleep (still in a dream)
is a reference to totsugawa heavy industries
how so? i played policenauts and the tokugawa family crest was very different from the delta symbol
were you referring to the hojo crest?
basically policenauts takes place in an alternate timeline with a different totsugawa. we know this because Meryll's age is completely off + policenauts specifically mentions that nanomachine tech hasn't been invented even by 2040. policenauts is a video game inside the metal gear timeline, just like how snatcher is a video game inside the policenauts timeline.
the metal gear timeline's totsugawa's logo is the upside down triangle which you can see on gray fox's helmet as well as in a bunch of different places on the big shell. they're most likely the ones who created the vr simulators, cyborg ninja technology as well as the AIs
Great catch, I didn't know Tokugawa had a totally separate logo in MGSverse for some reason. Also
>just like how snatcher is a video game inside the policenauts timeline.
is this legit? do they actually mention snatcher as a game in policenauts? i totally forgot
yeah, when you're listening to all the cds at karen's house one of them is a track from snatcher and when you examine it it says that snatcher is a hit video game.
holy based, ill definitely replay policenauts tonight (ive been meaning to do the saturn version this go around)
such a cool game
there's many reasons but the 3-sided shape is replacing the 3 in the title
"yay another remake"
-nobody
There's literally nothing else left to play.
why not ask Konami to make a MGS 6? What's stopping you from asking them to rebooting the series to separate the canon kojimatism and have solid snake adventures again?
NTA but what I personally want is these remakes to go down the FF7R route, get to the end of the Shadow Moses arc and then NOT kill Liquid and have FoxDie be a placebo. It would be great if the series continued from that point forward with new adventures starring Solid Snake/Otacon having an all out war against Liquid.
This was actually a subplot of the MGS Drama CDs so it would be great if they based the new stories around those too.
I don't understand how people can think that. There are too many fricking games.
Vita wasn't HD
It's gonna be like this
>Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
>Metal Gear Solid Delta: Peace Walker (featuring both portable games)
>Metal Gear Solid V remaster/rerelease
>Metal Gear Delta (remake of the 2 original NES games)
>Metal Gear Solid Delta
>Metal Gear Solid Delta 2
>Metal Gear Solid Delta 4
But the naming convention won't be this moronic... hopefully.
Gear Delta (remake of the 2 original NES games)
oh neat
they going to remake a game with three diferent open world maps with buildings that are 5 floors and hundreds of diferent rooms with a giant underground labirint and a desert each in a single game
people that never PLAYED mg and mg2 are funny
Yes unironically
They really aren’t that large, mostly inside, and can reuse assets from the other MG games easily. There’s also no guarantee they wouldn’t be top down remakes like Link’s Awakening.
they wouldnt kill snake and keep going with the boss as the main character would they?
there won't be another one because even though snake eater remake will sell several million copies, konami execs will say "mmmm but it didn't sell ENOUGH millions of copies" and put the series back on ice
I think it'll do well, as the entry point for a lots of normalgays and goyslop consumers.
literaly the best outcome
i just want to fricking play MGS4, i cant run it on ps3 emulator on my machine
>i just want to fricking play MGS4
It's not very good.
well i just want to know the damn ending to the story after playing all the other games!
That's fair, and I can understand wanting to play it for your first exposure to it, I'm just letting you know--sincerely--that you aren't missing out on much. The first couple acts have some decent moments, but even then it's just MGS3 but worse. It's also the worst story in the series. Great soundtrack and aesthetic, though.
It's kino, just needed more gameplay segments.
That's not even the end kid
get a better pc or just buy a ps3, they aren't that expensive these days if you get a clapped out slim or super slim
They'll do MGS1, obviously, because that's the boring predictable thing to do.
They'll never remake MG1 and 2, even though they really could do with a remake, more than anything.
>even though they really could do with a remake
Why? Any remake would barely resemble the originals in this case.
An even easier sell in that case
That's the point. The whole saga of Solid Snake in his prime facing off against and finally killing Big Boss deserves to be depicted in the cinematic quality of the later games.
It's such a pivotal part of the storyline, and you have to go back to bleep bloop calculator games with comparatively hardly any dialogue or characterisation, just to see it. It's kind of ridiculous.
>bleep bloop calculator games
MG2 is one of the better games in the series.
And newbies will experience that in full 3D
No they wouldn't, because it would just be a new game with a few familiar things reused and stapled on. I'd rather just have an entirely new game instead.
Not gonna happen, money talks.
I know. Remakes are still cancer.
That's pretty much what I want though. I want young Solid Snake, and Outer Heaven, and Big Boss as the villain. You can basically reimagine the whole rest of the game, and probably should really. It should feel like a sequel to V, just as much as a remake.
But what do you expect to get out of it? We already know what drives the characters. Miller is kind of an oddity thanks to PW and MGSV, but the rest is all pretty straightforward and even Miller isn't exactly a loose end. We know what Big Boss does and why he does it.
I want to see it with good graphics, and cinematic direction. I also think it would be cool to be Solid Snake again, in what would effectively be a new game.
The problem is MGS is pretty much already a remake of MG2, just with a different story and characters. It uses a lot of the same setpieces.
I'd expect them to treat it just as much as a new game, and throw surprises in as well.
did they ever fix the issues in the master collection?
Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake SHOULD be it but it will never be those because no one cares about them.
Metal Gear Solid V should have had you playing as real Big Boss, building real Outer Heaven, and ended the game having you play as Solid Snake doing one big final mission that was a remake of 1 but infiltrating the base you just spent the whole game building.
Its rather sad how big of an ip Solid Snake is and yet the incompentence at Konami to not make a new game with him. Like at all. What kind of frick up is that business wise? Do they not like games anymore?
>What will be the next remake after Delta Snake Eater?
Metal Gear Solid 1
They're obviously going chronological
I'd like a rebalanced AC!D 1 & 2 into one cohesive game.
