Yeah I don't doubt that, the problem is that he only plays vidya while streaming so what we see is for all intensive purposes is "his taste". He's brought up multiple times before how he used to like JRPGs like Xenogears and Front Mission and FF, none of which would survive even 10 minutes of him playing today. Anything with a focus on story would probably get flushed, which is particularly jarring since he likes MGS.
My favorite playthrough of his is Shadow of Destiny.

I will forever have mad respect for MGSV diehards because of how much mileage you can get out of that game's open world. I remember listening to a podcast back on release and each episode one would derail the whole conversation to talk about all the crazy adventures he was getting up to in Phantom Pain. I don't even think RDR2 has a better open world than that game.
