I don't know why people post this shit when it's clear a new console is out next year. You want to be asking questions if within 6 months of release, the game isn't on Switch 2.
It's the best selling mainline SMT, what the frick do you want?
There's only the announcement trailer. Nothing to speak of, unless you want to start shit posting some moronic opinions of morons on x (formerly twitter).
Its basically the Bravely Default to SMT/Persona's Final Fantasy.
It seem like a combination of SMT and Persona gameplay it term of combat, with the option of attacking enemies in the overworld to injure them, if not kill them outright. The persona like stuff is a stand in for a job system.
The plot is political and has the protagonist traveling accross the country to gather votes so he can become king, while also uncovering some mysteries like who killed the king.
It's just a reskin of Persoyna but doesn't have the elements that make Perosyna so popular - being able to self-insert as a jap school kid and date jap girls. >Outdated graphics >Same old stale menu-based "gameplay", now with a gimmick action combat that's irrelevant >Style over substance, constantly stimulating and obscuring your whole screen effects >moronic jap isekai-tier world design >moronic infantile jap dialogue >Caldendar, social stats, social links - literally all mechanics copied 1:1 from Persona >Betrayed expectations from initial concept art and promises of not being another SMT/Persona
This shit is gonna flop really hard, and it's a good thing. Japs should get to fricking work and start combining the best of Jap design with the best of Western design instead of living in a bubble and falling into further obscurity. There's a reason why Capcom is thriving like never before while Fatlus releaes one flop after another unless it's a mainline Persona game.
P4G was really popular too, considering it was stuck on the Vita for so long.
But yes, the sales of everything else show that Atlus games have largely no appeal outside of mainline Persona that's in P5 style. Even in Japan Atlus games don't sell well anymore, it's all bing bing wahoo and gacha there. I don't think mainstream in the West will tolerate Persona's braindead writing for much longer though (ADULTS BAD, DAE ADULTS BAD? REMEMBER THAT ADULTS BAD), so they either need to adapt or they'll just lose all the steam.
Tendies hates it because it's not on the Switch.
Normies don't care because it's animeslop.
Atlusdrones don't care beacuse it's not Persona.
Ganker doesn't care because it looks cheap and character design is worse than the other Atlus games.
Is ANYONE excited for this?
Only some turboweebs that will literally lap up ANYTHING. No matter where you look at - Ganker, /vrpg/, plebbit - there's barely any discussion about this game and when there is, it dies out extremely quickly. People are tired of overpriced $70 generic japslop with outdated graphics, animations and same anime tropes over and over again. Even Japan doesn't buy that shit anymore unless it's bing bing wahoo first-party.
Here's your $70 2024 game, bro. >inb4 graphics aren't everything
What the frick am I paying for, then? The mechanics which were just copied from Persona 5? Or the shitty writing that a 10-year-old could write on their knees during lessons break?
It has a lot of promise and I am very much looking forward to it. The fact the class system has over 10-20 confirmed classes to switch to and from already with more going to be announced along with being able to do most things in any order is insane for the amount of freedom alone.

What the frick Hashino made Atlus and they couldnt give him a better budget? That looks like ass
>job system >press turn >fantasy setting >persona style calendar/social link system
Looks like it's gonna be amazing but of course autists here hate it because p5 was popular
Already had some threads when it got some new info, it doesn’t need daily threads built it comes out and even then the threads most likely be full of shit postering and spoilers so best to wait like a week after the game comes out to get a “normal” thread
dumbass geek
why don't they just get a pc?
Why don't you just get a Switch?
>NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY WON'T IT RELEASE ON THE SHITCH!!!! WHY DID YOU REMOVE MY DAY ONE PIRATE AND EMULATION!!!!
based fatlus
Frick you, it's dumb that atlus would backstab the nintendo fanbase after putting smt v as a switch exclusive
the nintendo fanbase stabbed smtv by barely buying the game lmao

Thank you for reminding me that Shitendo ruined SMT5
>steam
>ps4 backport
It'll be easy to pirate this game.
You're assuming denuvo won't be implemented and the only one capable of breaking it has been MIA for a while and hates anime games as well.
And PS4 piracy requires more tinkering, something your average pirate is too afraid of.

QRD on Metaphor? Is it just a reskin of previous Atlus games?
Its basically the Bravely Default to SMT/Persona's Final Fantasy.

The game doesn't have a release date, what trailers came out were already discussed. What the frick do you even want to talk about?
>how come i hear little about it here on Ganker?
Atlus forgot the pay the marketers
It's just a reskin of Persoyna but doesn't have the elements that make Perosyna so popular - being able to self-insert as a jap school kid and date jap girls.

Ah, so a reskin of a series i don't plan on touching, good to know.
People don't like atus OR Persona. They specifically like Persona 5.
P4G was really popular too, considering it was stuck on the Vita for so long.

You're paying for the art and sick menus, of course.

Fatlus is simply technically incompetent. Their graphics and animations look like absolute dog shit.
Fatlus is incompetent at a lot of things due to P5 outselling expectations and SEGA trying to milk them to pay off debt.
>job system
>press turn
>fantasy setting
>persona style calendar/social link system

This is the first I've heard about this game, qrd?
It's on PC and the deck, Switch is irrelevant.
Already had some threads when it got some new info, it doesn’t need daily threads built it comes out and even then the threads most likely be full of shit postering and spoilers so best to wait like a week after the game comes out to get a “normal” thread
Because the game's translator is white woman who hates anime and has proudly admitted to purposely multiple anime translations
