It seems like the protagonist and the fairy aren't part of those 8 races, the protag is "Elda" which is a small minority race that's considered tainted. So if the racial theory proved correct that would mean there's 5 more party members for a total of 10. P5R had 10 so I guess it's possible.

The character designs and A1 anime cutscenes are offputting in the worst way possible. The enemy designs and general concept art is infinitely more interesting in comparison. Such is the case with many Atlus games. Shame that this game is basically gonna be Persona: Fantasy Edition where people are only going to talk about who they want to frick since Hashino has basically made incredibly thin games thematically since P3.
