ehh, judgement is kinda garbage
bad tailing missions
cringe MC
forgettable characters in general
useless combat styles
it feels like a poor mans yakuza
That's cool man, but Lost Judgment is the best game in the entire series and one of the best games ever made.
I started playing the yakuza games with 0 and I think 0 is the best entry in the series
how does this make you feel?
nah 5 better
>I started playing the yakuza games with 0 and I think 0 is the best entry in the series
>playing yakuza games
>plural
real 0 CHADS only play 0 and call it a day
unironically the worst best point of entry for a franchise
>start with one of the peaks
>experience the nosedive in quality with K1
>then experience the worst kind of jank that the DE can offer with K2
no wonder so many normies ask "can I skip 3, 4 and 5? They're so PS3iy..."
>one of the greatest antagonists in gaming
>but barely anyone played LJ, so nobody talks about him
I want to see youtube essayists autistically talking about Kuwana for 3 hours straight
ignore this moron
The Kaito Files has a great story that's short and sweet and actually adds depth to the most underutilized character of the Judgment series. You're doing yourself a disservice by not playing it if you like this franchise
I think 0’s problem is that it’s a prequel to a long running franchise of mostly inferior games. If 0 was the first entry in a new IP without any sequel baggage attached, then the following games could have lived up to 0’s quality.
>be some literally who middle aged high school teacher
>have one of the greatest boss themes ever composed
They did not need to go so hard for his boss theme:
%3D
>They did not need to go so hard for his boss theme
just be glad they did, Kuwana was one hell of an antagonist with a god tier OST and three amazing fights, served as a great foil to Yagami as both were literally whos that ended up getting burnt put under the spotlight and dedicated their lives to their own sense of justice for mistakes that truly werent eithers fault yet are unable to stop blaming themselves, the only true difference being Kuwana abandoned any hope for change and decided to make it himself
even if LJ somewhat came apart in its last half, Kuwana still was the games highlight overall
NOOOO YOU NEED TO PLAY 720 HOURS WORTH OF GAMES TO UNDERSTAND THE FULL ARC
>play yakuza series
>understanding of the story decreases by every game played
you dont need to do any of that
>someone wants to take over kamurocho
>kiryu and the scooby gang foil their dastardly, convoluated plans through fist-fighting
there you go, you understand yakuza 0-6
now play whichever game you want
Nothing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it anon, I think 0 is a fantastic game with some of the highest quality substories in the series, very well rounded combat (aside from the fricking heat bars affecting attack speed), great music, and an actually pretty good story that isn't complete nonsense or takes forever to get to the fricking point like 4 or 5 respectively, which is a fair comparison since those were the two games to come out prior to 0.
I love everything about 0’s story except Oda being treated like a martyr and not a piece of shit who got what he deserved.
Secret Korean spotted
plotwise Y1 was better
YK1 is even more of an improvement with the new Nishiki backstory and tie ins to Y0
>Majima Everywhere
K1 should sit in the bottom 20th percentile of games for this reason alone.
his annoyance is deeply exagerated, he's no harder to avoid than regular encounters, even the "surprise" ones like manholes and traffic cones give clear hints
It’s not so much avoiding him as it is DoD upgrades being locked behind him.
>mfw running around Kamurocho scouting for rare Majimas
he did nothing wrong
Great theme song.
Shit character.
One of the weaker RGG/JE antagonists.
He and Yagami just keep repeating the same dialogue with slight variations at each other.
Their inability to have an actual dialogue is part of what's so compelling about the whole thing though. Neither of them are interested in understanding where the other is coming from because their slight variation in ideals keeps them grounded exactly where they are. It's literally lawful neutral vs chaotic neutral. Yagami feels the same way as Kuwana but prioritizes his position as a detective and past as a lawyer above all else, and so Kuwana's ability to step over the line Yagami is unwilling to cross himself causes an inherent conflict in ideals. Sawa gets mentioned by Yagami so much to the point that it's kinda comical, but it's not really about her. But she's an innocent person who got dragged into the conflict, which I think Yagami clutches onto so hard because he doesn't really disagree with how Kuwana feels in general, and so it becomes a point for him to enforce his position as someone who can't cross that line. They're fundamentally incompatible despite being so similar, and that's just a great dynamic. Every encounter with Kuwana was kino of the highest fricking order.
You've convinced me to pick LJ back up
How's the Kaito dlc for lost judgement anyways? This thread made me remember it came out.
Very VERY mid, pisses me off that some homosexuals will go around saying its amazing (I saw some people say its great on twitter)
It's alright but far too expensive for what it is. By far the weakest part of LJ imo.
good morning i hate yokoyama
guy's extremely weird, he's capable of writing some of the best moments and characters of the whole franchise, but also the fricking worst ones, just HOW?
>6 that high
based, no game has ever been able to replicate the comfiness that exudes from Onomichi, it makes me wish I was born in a riverside small town
1, 2, 5, 0, 7 and Judgement 1 are among the best in the series
4 would be there but the story gets too goofy to like, 6 has aged like milk and 3 is just fujo bait with horrible combat
2 was the best and should have been the end of kiryu's storyline
the rest is absolute trash
0 could have been good if it was solely a majima game
4 couldd have been good if it was solely an akiyama game
5 > 6 > 0 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 3
Playing Judgment right now. Still haven’t played 7 and I’ve been playing these games since PS2 lmao. No idea how you guys get through them so fast.
>6 that high
>2 and 3 that low
>>3 but good that high
>>3 that low
yes?
BLEAKIN ZE LOOOH BLEAKIN ZE LUUULES
I honestly can't remember the story of most Yakuza games after secret koreans.
Y1 and Y2 story was good thanks to Seishu Hase, after those games we got overly complicated stories and ridiculous plot twists.
Good thing is that RGG is having a renaissance in storytelling thanks to this guy.
It was until Judgment that things got interesting again.
Yakuza 3 was good
SAWA-SENSEI
The main part of LJ is the school scenario with Yagami being GTO, the Kuwana thing is a side activity.
I liked Yakuza 4, 0, and 6
rip someya! he coulve been battering his missus in y7
