I tried to play minecraft the other day, apparently mojang accounts ceased to exist so I needed my microsoft account to login to microsoft store then download minecraft launcher, login to my microsoft account in the launcher and then I still couldn’t play because my mojang account had the game license, which was deleted 🙂
I think they discontinued Mojang accounts like september of last year. If you didn't update yeah you're fricked, I guess this is their way of taking stolen accounts off the multiplayer game.
for Minecraft, just use something like ATlauncher. Most of your problems can be solved by being more computer literate

If you are installing win10 on a pc you basically need to disconnect the internet to not use ms account.
And apparently (without even more going around) you cant even setup win11 without ms account.
