PC for most games but also need PS5 for any serious souls game pvp as there's too many cheaters in the PC scene, not to say that souls pvp is dead on PC. + the best souls games aren't on PC ( Bloodborne and DeS remake).
I have a 13700k/RTX 3070 PC and a PS5. Like 70% of new games run better on the PS5 and look only slightly worse. Just booting game, having it work the first time and not having to deal with stuttering make PS5 a way better gaming machine than any PC. You’d have to be a complete fricking moron to build a PC over buy a PS5 in 2024.
This reads like a shitpost but I feel like you're right in some cases. You really do need a super machine ultra computer to run modern releases at a stable 60 at 1080p. It's fricked up, man.
Resolution and frame rate aren’t even an issue for me. I can run pretty much everything except exceptionally unoptimized games like the TLoU remaster or Jedi Survivor at 1440p60 if I turn down the settings enough. Problem is I STILL get stuttering in some games (Wo Long and Star Ocean are two particularly egregious ones for example) regardless of how high the average frame is. Even if a game can’t hold 60, it’s a hundred times more pleasant just booting it up on PS5 and knowing I’ll get a smooth (as in stutter free) experience every time.
Because I prefer having Switch + PC + Xbox Series X + PS4
