I won't accept RE5 slander. It's an extremely fun and well designed game meant to be played with someone else
RE5 blind with a friend who was also blind was a 10/10 experience
I can only imagine that playing it alone and fumbling with the AI ruined it for many, but with a friend? Top tier co-op game
>I won't accept RE5 slander. It's an extremely fun and well designed game meant to be played with someone else
Throwing a turd around is "fun with a friend". RE5 is an objectively awful game with terrible braindead map and enemy design. Village is all the action packed schlock of RE5 but executed well, and it's STILL mediocre.
This game was just >Man, this is a neat area. I wonder- >Oh, it's already over
The factory part was the only decently long area of the game that didn't last a total of 15 minutes. Very dissapointed, especially cuz I played 7 right before 8 came out and was expecting the same good level design
>RE8 is short as frick
The fastest players for RE4 took 12 hours on their first playthrough
In total length re4 and Re8 are equal
You're just completely braindead and not even attempting to be reasonable

RE 6 - 21 hours
RE 4 - 15.5 hours
Uhh re4 bros why is our game like a children's story book...

Quantity doesn’t equal quality, but games like 8 have neither.

I mean who cares when almost all of RE6 is shit?
As always Quality>quantity
No? The Joe DLC is terrible. It's Theron campaign that's great and excellent return to form for RE. Do people in these threads even like survival horror? How can you praise the joke punch out DLC? Man, re4 really spawned a lot of moronic secondaries.
>Theron campaign that's great and excellent return to form for
It didn't include Leon, Ada, Chris and Jill looking straight into the camera in unison saying "Let's kill the resident evil" so it isn't a real RE game
Main campaign goes to shit when you reach the boat. One of the worst finales in the series. If it wasn’t for the DLCs 7 would be ranked much lower by most fans.
Also End of Zoe is awesome pull the no fun stick out of your ass.
I didn't like it when it came out back in 2017, but after doing a replay of all mainline entries in the past few months, i got the impression that out of all NU-RE games this is the one where the most effort went into(well at least before the mine section), RE8 in comparison just felt completely off and despite the gothic setting it lacked the personal atmosphere the Baker estate had and seemed to have bum rushed itself in almost every section.
I honestly think I enjoyed 8 more than RE4 Remake.
RE4 Remake is fun but I kept getting dragged out of from how weak the writings and characters were compared to the OG
8 does it's own thing and stands out on it's own and I feel it's a lot more unique and interesting due to that.
Plus it's still fun from start to finish. even in the remake I still feel the island in 4 is pretty weak
My problem with RE8 is that it doesn't really get going until Heisenberg. The castle is pretty empty and Donna/Moreau's chapters are a slog with little replayability.
Meanwhile RE4 is nonstop action from beginning to end. This is also true for the remake which is honestly impressive. >8 does it's own thing and stands out on it's own
7 already did it better.
Best game since 4
Yeah kinda, it was like re5 but not awful.

So like every other RE game
You know that isn't true. RE8 is short as frick and it suffers for it

Both versions of 4 average around 15-16 hours while Village is less than 10, with large parts of that being linear setpieces or cutscenes.
RE 6 - 21 hours
RE 4 - 15.5 hours

Not that anon but RE8 is about as long as any other RE that isn't 6
>mid
It's identical to 4. Boomers just can't cope with first person. You actually vomit after playing them. Stick to chess.
8’s combat isn’t even half as good as 4’s
If you ask me 7 is still the best modern RE game
The DLCs(especially Joe’s) really carry it

*its the main campaign

I loved RE7 and it's return to survival horror but even than End of Zoe is just a lot of fun,
Some of the best action in the whole series.

spoiler alert: chris doesn't morb into a werewolf
>boomers complaining about 98% positive game

The biggest problem with 8’s story was it wasted its best characters. No idea why they didn’t just combine Miranda and Lady D into the same character.
My problem with RE8 is that it doesn't really get going until Heisenberg. The castle is pretty empty and Donna/Moreau's chapters are a slog with little replayability.

Sorry, it made me coom. That makes it top.
