Why is this the most underrated game of the year?
- great gameplay loop
- deckbuilding without pushing you to microtransactions
- great for comics fans and not just MCUgays
- story actually pretty immersive and good

I'll admit at times the dialogue writing is not the best, and for some people the Abbey portions of the game may not be fun.
But the gameplay itself is great and I'm finding the game very addicting
I'd rather have a game like freedom force where you create your team in a new setting instead of playing in an established universe
It's rare I'd say something like this but it's a game no one wanted. Like, who is your audience? Not only combining Marvel with a strategy game but with a card based combat system at that. Then give it all the AAA treatment with price and expensive DLCs. It's like a spaghetti western kart racer, nobody wants this.
I'd really love a non-moronic remake of those. They were so before their time.
Oh, and it's Midnight Sons. Frick Marvel.
This alone made me not buy Midnight "Suns".
It's xcom for bumbasses.
but there is no consumer base for that as dumbasses are the higher ecelons of intelect. currently the masses are mega-morons.
>Why is this the most underrated game of the year
It isnt, frick you, your tactics slop and capeshit
Real winner of the Turn Based crown this year is Jagged Alliance 3
Nope, that would be USC Counterforce.
>Early Access
yawn
>Why is this the most underrated game of the year
capeshit fatigue probably innit
>card system
This alone makes it an irredeemable garbage
It's kinda entertaining but even if you're a capeshitter, the 10~15 hour long tutorial will turn you off pretty hard and for non-capeshitters that same section of the game is downright unbearable. There's a fun game here but you have to wade through so much shit to get there that I don't blame anyone for quitting or passing on this game.
Magik best girl.
>turn-based
Not great, not underrated, not immersive, not good.
Tens if not hundreds of turn-based slop comes out every year because its the easiest kind of strategy to code and design. This is an xcom clone.
And if you find yourself immersed in homosexual superhero settings, you're not considered as a sentient human being
I just cant stand cards and deck building in singleplayer video games
Cape shit fans are moron, I saw comments on the trailer saying shit like "why is superhero just standing there and getting hit" cape shit fans don't even understand what turn based is.
Idk man there were steam reviews not reccommending wargame because "the trailer made it look like you could pilot planes but you can't"
It's not the worst game ever (I'd say it's more or less on par with the average Marvelslop game), but it's disgustingly overpriced for what it is. A fricking $60 game with $50 of DLC, plus ingame microtransactions on top of that. If it was like $20 for the lot it'd be worth it.
>mobile tier card shit
>cape shit
>we could've had new Xcom Terror from the Deep or something instead
You tell me
Man, I remember when this was first announced and people said Firaxis would never make an XCOM game again because making Marvel games is much more profitable. I don't know what hurts more, that they were right (XCOM is dead) or that it was for the wrong reason (MS flopped).
Is the marvel stuff Xcom hard? I imagine the ball stomping difficulty might have turned off a lot of normies.
is there a torrent for it yet?
Nah, it's got Denuvo and Empress gave up cracking.
ah okay that makes sense, RIP
I'm fricking lost here didn't Firaxis said they'll stop supporting this game? Why they're spending money keeping denuvo in this game?
bump
