This teeth pattern just looks more aesthetic. The thin teeth she normally has, looks like a poorly drawn monster from a 10 year old. Doing zig-zag lines. But these thick curved chompers she has here looks very aesthetic.

I wish MK fans didn't throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak. Removing lips shouldn't mean removing those aesthetic teeth.

They didn't design the character, you dumb Black person.

Yeah, but developers listen to feedback. And all they heard was that the older version of Mileena was better. Fans are very blunt with their criticism. Tending not to bother making exceptions for anything. Just "LIPS BAD".

          >more aesthetic
things aren't more or less aesthetic in general, moron, what you mean is that it looks less like a monster, but she is a character already established as one. The more natural her teeth look, the less "aesthetical" it is to the nature of the character.

          >things aren't more or less aesthetic in general
Yuh-huh. It's like, there's a reason nobody respects the font type comic sans, right? Because it's very boring looking. Very cheap. There are better fonts look comical, so why settle for comic sans?

The thick curving teeth doesn't make her look any less of a monster. I don't know where you got that idea from. It's just a better looking way of doing monster teeth.

            >comic sans
            >very boring looking
            >cheap
What a dork, it looks boring because people started using it massively and there's a reason for that. The font is very aesthetical. It wasn't designed to look "comical" as in "funny", but comic books. People used it so frequently out of context because it does look appealing, until you start thinking with this elitist mindset of objective beauty, which is more ridiculous than some dumbass who just picked the font out of a complete lack of fricks given about it.
We've all been there at some point. "oh this is below the standard". Grow up, see context for yourself. The beauty of the character is to have an unappealing mouth that contrasts her hot body.

            >less like a monster
Less like a monster designed by a literal child.

It doesn't matter if the idea was good in the first place, it doesn't matter if it makes sense, it doesn't even matter if you like it or not. The character has been established as such, and changing too much about it ruins its persistent image and makes everyone lose interest. Like a non-asian Liu Kang, or a Kung Lao without a hat.

              >it looks boring because people started using it massively and there's a reason for that. The font is very aesthetical.
People with low standards started using it. As in kids building their first website/blog. And out of the 10 options they were given, comic sans was the least formal looking. That didn't make comic sans the best looking font. Rather, it was just packaged with everything, becoming the most available "fun" looking font.

And like with a lot of things that are established early, then tend to stick around for a long time, as it's difficult to convince a bunch of tech nerds to go through a bunch of new fonts, and discover better ones. Especially when those better fonts are not universally supported like comic sans is.

              >It wasn't designed to look "comical" as in "funny", but comic books.
Yes... I know. And everyone who draws comics will mock the use of comic sans today. Because they all know that style of text is personal to each comic. As an artist, you should be doing your own text, so it's stylistically cohesive.

As amateurs, I kind of understand falling back on lazy fonts. Or as more technically inclined developers, I understand if they don't have the artistic sense to make their own text, so they fall back on comic sans, which is likely packaged in with their development tools. But when you reach a certain level, you should eventually transition into better and more interesting looking text. Either by making it your own, or selecting pre-made text that is closer in style for what your job calls for.

That all is to make the point that when you're drawing monster teeth, going for the standard zig-zag shark teeth should be beyond the taste of your average adult.

              >All that stuff about subjectivity.
You don't even believe in that. Because earlier you tried to argue that one set of teeth is more monstrous than another set of teeth. So you do have objective markers in your own mind.

                >People with low standards started using it
You're pathetic. Get off your dwarf mule for once. Not everyone has to share the same taste with you. Undermining personal preference is not a standard or a convention. It's just the most cowardly way of seeking for acceptance.
It wasn't "packed with everything" any more than Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, Times New Roman. People didn't want to have the same appeal as history books or manuals and that is perfectly fine. If they didn't want to look serious, why criticize the lack of "seriousness" in the first place? It's arrogant, pedantic and frankly stupid.
The comic sans meme is over anyway, people already moved on, after all, who gives a shit.

About the teeth, I didn't say that about looking more or less monstrous. I said YOU did.

                >Undermining personal preference is not a standard or a convention.
Even if you believed in all the subjectivity you spout(you already proved you don't. But I won't harp on that), that doesn't change the fact that I'm expressing my own personal preferences. I'm still allowed to say that I find one set of teeth better than the other. According to your rules of subjectivity, you can't say my opinion is wrong. But you *do* think my opinion is wrong. Deep down inside, you want to argue against my opinion. And so you pull this subjectivity crap, as roundabout way to invalidate my opinion, without directly arguing against it. By making me appear like some immature, pushy narcissist, you can make my position look bad, without actually arguing the real artistic merits.

                >It wasn't "packed with everything" any more than Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, Times New Roman.
Like I said, comic sans was among about 10 options.

                >People didn't want to have the same appeal as history books or manuals and that is perfectly fine
Like I said, people wanted a "fun" looking font.

                >If they didn't want to look serious, why criticize the lack of "seriousness" in the first place?
I wasn't criticizing the lack of seriousness. I only stated that was their motivation for choosing it. I didn't say they were wrong for wanting less serious text. Only that they either didn't have options, or they didn't look far for options.

                >The comic sans meme is over anyway, people already moved on, after all, who gives a shit.
It's just a clear example of low taste persisting longer than it should, among people who should know better. Comic sans fell out of favor, thanks to people rightfully mocking its use, and font packages growing, and font compatibility growing. So now people have greater options.

                >I said YOU did.
Well I didn't say it. So the idea was fabricated by you. Somewhere in the recesses of your mind, you crafted an objective where there was none. It is an objective of YOUR making.

if they wanted to give her a human mouth too should've made it so she had multiple rows of teeth like a shark. big tarkatan ones along the outer edge like normal and then the human set one the inside like a second vestigial fused jaw. putting that cheek tissue between them just makes the monster part feel tacked on and secondary.
