When will the "Gamecube was actually good!" meme die? >Sunshine was garbage >Wind Waker was garbage >Both Star Fox games were garbage >Donkey Kong was relegated to gimmicky shit >Zero (0) games after 2003 >Zero (0) 3rd party support
Gamecube was dogshit
The hatred for people enjoying Switch game sequels of old IP's, and the PS2 dominating the early 2000's in /vr/ discussions, caused cubies to have a meltdown
>>Zero (0) games after 2003
Metroid Prime 2, Pikmin 2, Paper Mario TTYD, Star Fox Assault, Super Mario Strikers, Pokemon XD, MGS Twin Snakes, the list goes on and on and on.
>>Zero (0) 3rd party support
Me personally, I bought plenty of multiplatform titles on the Cube that generation. TimeSplitters, Tony Hawk, Call of Duty, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Simpsons Hit & Run, Digimon, and many more. Just because (You) didn't buy them doesn't mean they didn't exist.
Because a lot of us were in middle school or high school at that point and wanted "mature games for mature gamers such as ourselves". Literally what every single generation goes through since time immemorial with something. If you really liked vidya on more than a surface level it didn't matter though since that generation was truly great no matter what console you had.
vice city was 2002 and san andreas was 2004. it wasn't 10 year waits for random drek GTA entries that people thought they were getting on other consoles, they thought they'd be getting legendary games fairly regularly.
loads of people loved GC at the time but if your mom's only gonna buy you one console, that prospect was a massive temptation away from nintendo.

GC's game disc didn't have nearly enough space for those games. Nintendo stupidly thought making the disc into onion rings would prevent pirating and boy, were they wrong.
when I was at my friend's place we played gamecube and N64 and rpg maker on pc.
when I was at home I played on my handhelds or my brother's ps1 and PS2.
that's probably how I ended up not becoming a moronic console loyalist. i go wherever they make interesting games.
The gamecube and N64 sucked, overrated generations by white millennials and the Nintendo youtubers that have them as their favorite are the most obnoxious people
GameCube won when it came to multi-platform games. Technically, the original XBOX was more powerful but owning the original XBOX meant you were a douche so it wasn't worth it.
If GameCube had Xbox Live tier online multiplayer then Xbox would have flopped. Nobody would have been playing Halo if they could have played Melee and Double Dash online instead.

Anyone who grew up with Nintendo was upset with the softwashing of the games. Making the mechanics dumbed down.
I was a hardcore Nintendo fan
As a fan I was let down by everything after GameCube
Also corruption in the Nintendo sphere for paid off reviews is another reason to drop them.
They haven't recovered since they never brought the mechanics back
They gave melee a 6 out of 10 when it came out. By those standards brawl should of gotten a 0 and ultimate as well
I liked that the GameCube's standard color was indigo, everyone else in the NA market had this "frick colors, everything should be black or gray" mindset.
I for one would have loved a yellow PS2 if they'd bothered to sell it here
I owned a PSX and N64 during their gens, even had a Saturn
I owned the Dreamcast, loved me some PSO and Power Stone
I owned a Xbox, PS2, and GC, during their gens
I enjoyed all of them though the Xbox did feel like it lacked games I wanted to play I did play most multi plats on it. I played Morrowwind on that damn thing.
PS2 had some great games like Dark Cloud and Brave Fencer Musashi 2, fun fighters like DoA, and of course some nice Tom Clancy games
GC I loved for Melee and Prime 1 and 2, even got my friends into 2's multiplayer when weren't playing Halo on our Xbox's
It was a good gen all around.
>viewtiful joe >Re4 >Ikaruga >Metroid prime 1 and 2
That's about it as far as good gameCube games I've played, half of them were ported to PS2 later on, and Ikaruga was on Dreamcast beforehand.
Name a better game than GTA
hello kitty roller rescue
The Simpsons Hit & Run
Resident Evil 4
GTA 2
Mafia
Saints Row 3 & 4
pn03
dat ass
REmake
SSBM
Animal Crossing
Metroid Prime
Most games. GTA 3 wasn't that good and aged badly
If your gaming device didn't have San Andreas, it was not worth buying. Simple as.
That was a magical gen when ever console was worth owning, nowadays there's Shitch and two nogames machines.
They weren't little zoomzoom.
Because their cruel parents bought them a PS 2 instead.

>ignoring Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness
>also ignoring F-Zero GX
Those two alone made the GC worth

With Melee in its library, it will never happen.
>Both Star Fox games were garbage
This is true
it's not
You're right star fox adventures was good

Never saw the appeal of GTA. Even on PS2 I would rather play Ratchet and Clank or Kingdom Hearts
They were brown. The GameCube is the white mans console

The gamecube's biggest problem was that it didn't play DVDs.
It's bad because it sucks
when I was at my friend's place we played gamecube and N64 and rpg maker on pc.
when I was at home I played on my handhelds or my brother's ps1 and PS2.
that's probably how I ended up not becoming a moronic console loyalist. i go wherever they make interesting games.
I loved windwaker, twilight princess, melee, sunshine and oot master quest
I also played a couple of other games but I have a hard time remembering what they were
gamecube was always dogshit
The gamecube and N64 sucked, overrated generations by white millennials and the Nintendo youtubers that have them as their favorite are the most obnoxious people
More surprising it spammed a whole generation of anime hating youtubers.
People that liked the Gamecube as kids ended up becoming trannies.
Imagine how powerful it would be if Nintendo made a GameSphere instead
Learn your place, tendie.
GameCube won when it came to multi-platform games. Technically, the original XBOX was more powerful but owning the original XBOX meant you were a douche so it wasn't worth it.
I wasn't an xbox owner back then but even I had to respect multiplayer Halo when it was busted out at a friends house.
If GameCube had Xbox Live tier online multiplayer then Xbox would have flopped. Nobody would have been playing Halo if they could have played Melee and Double Dash online instead.
Looks better on the left
I'm not sure which is supposed to look better. PS2 is sharper but Gamecube is more vibrant.
Based
lmao deluded homosexual
Sunshine is overhated and was great for a platformer
I loved it, the commerical song was pure kino
>sheit
Cia gov meme already in this thread

Recommend me some GameCube games to emulate if I was 100% psx, PS2 and pc. As a white European I haven't even seen a Nintendo console irl
Metroid Prime 1 and 2
"European" lol. Can't fool us, vladimir
None of them
Viewtiful Joe.
The GameCube had Phanrasy Star Online, therefore it was great
Thats a Dreamcast game
Yeah but the Gamecube version was better
Literally me. What moron I was.
The truth is even worse, unfortunately
>GAMECUBE IS LE BAD BECAUSE... B-BECAUSE... BECAUSE IT'S A PURPLE LUNCHBOX WITH A HANDLE MADE FOR BABIES
I liked that the GameCube's standard color was indigo, everyone else in the NA market had this "frick colors, everything should be black or gray" mindset.
I for one would have loved a yellow PS2 if they'd bothered to sell it here
I bought the Gamecube for Rogue Leader.
It's an opinion written by Black folk who were too poor to just have both gamecube and PS2. Gamecube had good exclusives
I fricking loved my Gamecube. I had two great Zelda games and two great Resident Evil games and a Godzilla game.
I owned a PSX and N64 during their gens, even had a Saturn

Eternal Darkness was amazing and Zoomers will never know because all the mind tricks it does doesn't work on modern televisions.
Gamecube IS bad, deal with it tendies.
Anyone else catch the new ODE for the GC that doesn't remove the laser?
I noticed people hating on the gamecube aren't snoys but tendies born after 2002.
