>Just chiseling in Vintage Story
Mojangbros just come and play the game, you'll enjoy it.
>manages to have a worse combat system than fricking minecraft
How did they do it? Game is unironically better with those stupid drifters turned off, but then there's pretty much nothing left but bears and wolves that job to pitfalls naturally.
They spent all their time cooking the chiseling and farming, then forgot to finish prospecting and exploring.
The worldgen is very simple and prospecting leaves much to be desired when it fills your entire chatbox with info dumps.
The combat is one of the only things about VS that I can agree on the criticisms of. While I don't mind the spear throwing aspect, there definitely needs to be a better rework of the melee combat in the game.
Me personally I just become a spear chucking cave Black person most of the time and it works
Ok, sure, I’ll try it.
>Play bootleg terrafirmacraft
No
there were mods that did this in beta
they stopped getting updated because no-one used the blocks
Create has small step blocks like that but you can't combine them with stairs as far as I know.
older versions had microblocks from red power.
newer versions had architecturecraft, chisel n bits, etc.
>Microblocks
Yeah, that was the one, I was just about to mention it.
>microblocks
god damn. modders real do think of everything.
still not exactly what i'm thinking. every block being 1/8 is more what i'm thinking.
VS lets you manually edit as small as 1/8th of a block into whatever design you want
that's almost exactly what i was thinking about. not sure i would want is as detailed though.
That's one of the best things about VS, the chiseling is entirely up to the players. Making stairs out of literally anything is such a nice ability.
ok goldilocks jesus fricking christ you're a fussy c**t
1/8 is good but going any smaller looks ugly.
that is part of the mod, along with a few other shapes like flat panels or poles
thats chisel n bits and little tiles
Just driving by to give a high recommendation for Vintage Story.
It plays like an alternate universe version of the game where Notch decided that survival mode should be "good" instead of a moronic baby game.
And if you're a turbo autist, you can chisel the details in your fricking fireplace of your autistic cottage palace down to I think 1/32 of a block, and even swap voxels between blocks if you wanted to add gold trim or whatever.
I do none of that shit (besides carving shooty holes in fortifications and making a slot in a coal bin once) but the game itself is great even on a spergery-independent basis.
For the last time, its just Terrafirmacraft with less content.
Terrafirmacraft is too autistic for most people already.
It's significantly different and has some pretty important systems not present in minecraft, but I'm really not interested in your minecraft mod war community homosexualry.
Literally nobody cares what you dweebs think about anything, by the way.
Clearly you do since you came here, got told to frick off and are now crying because nobody wants to play even more autistic minecrap
>no u are the one who was told to frick off
>and now U are the one crying
Jesus you fricking zoomer autists are terrible at internet fights.
Meanwhile, you know I'm right and no amount of shitting yourself itt is going to make you feel like people respect your kind in your heart, and you know it.
>I wasn't told to frick off
OP isn't about vintage story, you came here to suggest it and are now mad because nobody wants to take the literal worst part of minecraft "survival features" and cranking that shit up to 11
Better with mods' saw makes corners.
It's called little tiles.
Terrafirmacraft was probably the first mod to do this and with chisel and bits you can have blocks even smaller.
mobs reskins and ESG
more creative unique biomes
OP that looks like a youtube clickbait thumbnail from like 5 years ago, you can do better.
not only can you mine and craft, but you can also craft and mine
The same, but better looking and missing half the features. Later they drip feed you the same content over a decade... Oh shit, I just described The Sims.
Would you like if they leaned more toward industrial or fantasy design? or both?
At this point after playing industrial modpacks for years and games inspired by such,
I think industry and mining go hand in hand, but not the way you mine in this game.
I would prefer if they leaned more into fantasy and focused on making their magics not shit.
As it currently stands, spelunking is already fun, but enchantments are not.
>spend maybe an hour mining to get diamond equipment
>spend the next several hours actually enchanting it
>gated by cows or villagers forcing time
>also gated by exp which the previously mentioned will not adequately provide
>heavily rng dependent
>almost all are boring stat boosts, no spells
It is definitely one of the weakest points of the game and the biggest time sink for what is ultimately a minor upgrade over just making tons of iron crap.
I want fire aspect to actually create some fire
I want more elemental aspects, perhaps tied to the various gear like the trident has with lightning
I want a dank grimoire
I don't care about autocrafters and quarries anymore.

All animal mobs have been completely reworked or otherwise removed in order to comply with the new "Minecraft is a realistic and educational game :)" standards, and livestock especially have been affected by this as to not promote the idea that children should go outside and start punching animals to death for their meat.
Creepers, Endermen, the Wither and other such mobs are, by default, no longer able to alter or break terrain as to comply with the new standard of "we don't want gameplay elements that will disrupt the world in a way the player doesn't want". There is no gamerule for this. Phantoms get to stay as is though, and now they'll start harassing you after ONE sleepless night.
Wolves are replaced with dogs proper so kids don't try to go out into the woods and tame a wolf IRL.
There's a lot more progression padding in order to prolong the gameplay loop, disguising this fact as something to be praised because "wooden tools finally have a purpose instead of you only making a wooden pickaxe until you get three cobblestone and then you never look back ever again".
Story Mode
>survival story mode
>search the post-apocalypse for traces of humanity
>discover dungeons and extant factories
>parts of dungeons are procedurally generated; other tilesets are fixed
>attain blueprints for new machines
>layer machines to build rocket ship
>travel to moon colony
>return with lunar blade to kill Evil Entity
Mechanics
>all stupid survival mechanics like hunger removed
>focus on base-building and defence
>trigger a sunset by ringing bell to summon zombie horde
>more procedural crafting, like TotK
>UI for red stone
>ability to drop in and out of other players' worlds
I’ve heard some coping that Minecraft updates have sucked lately because they are announcing Minecraft V2.0 this minecon for the 15th annivsery
They should ditch the infinite world generation and make generation one big continent with randomly generate terrain and structures like this.
That's just Terraria. Even as someone who does not enjoy Minecraft at all and has several thousand hours in Terraria I can admit the infinite world generation method is way, way better.
it's not. because it's random what content you'll find. it could be 1 hour or 100 hours before you mind meaningful content. you'll just be walking forward with nothing to do and no meaningful landmarks. in a map all the content is guaranteed to be there.
Are you saying you want a preset world with a defined number of biomes/objects/items/NPCs/etc but the placement of everything is random?
yes
More focus on the RPG aspect
Magic stats, magic weapons & magic armor
Accessories that give you plenty of useful benefits, can only have 2-3 equipped at once
All of the mobs (both friendly and enemies) from the spin-off games and of course from the Mob Votes
More bosses & more raids
Sculk dimension
Major End rework
Major potion rework
Major Nether Fortress rework
Major stronghold rework
A major rework on all of the old structures in the game
More armor for different purposes

>What's in minecraft 2?
So, imagine minecraft, right. Now, add DEI, add ESG, and have it all be programmed by a thousand pajeets.
>imagine Minecraft with even worse coding
Truly horrifying.
And don't forget that it would be completely locked down like Gayrock Edition. You will pay for skins you used to make in MSPaint for free.
Hexagons
missing more than half the stuff that was in the minecraft beta
