Not really. While SwSh and SV are a sucker punch to the face and a kick in the balls, SM/USUM are just boring and extremely handholding. Although I will admit that I slightly miss everything else about Gen 7.
That was gen 5 for most people, anon. And I like gen 5, but the soft reboot aspect shook any remaining normies loose. Gen 6 reeled them back, along with pokemon go.
It's scary how true this is. The only people still buying are turbonormies who play the main story and then put it away. If you compare how active the wi-fi scene was prior gen 7 to today it's night and day difference. The games are selling more but it doesn't show
At least all females in gen 7 were beautiful, attractive and breedable. In fact, it was the best female cast of a pokemon gen.
Maybe the character designers knew what would come after and wanted to give us a last gift.
Why would they know the designs would shit the bed going forward? Were they going to make them bad on purpose or knew they had ran out of ideas? Or was the ESG investment rearing it’s ugly head already? PLA has the best human designs since gen 7 so some talented people or at least people willing to put out good designs must still be around, unless the reason PLA human designs are good is because most of them are based on DP characters
Nope. I still haven't even finished it. I just grab the cutemons I need and ship them off to HOME.
Gym Trainers were a bit stale, but Totem shit, Hau, and the god-awful USUM sprites ruined it.
I played gen 7 via emulator and it was by far one of the shittiest experiences I've ever had in my life, The game runs like shit, Even with me going out of my way to run the game on a system far superior than a 3DS, The game has a tutorial section that lasts so long that I was left questioning myself "when the frick is this ever going to end?" The move re-learner is pretty much a post-game feature, which is extremely moronic. The game has hours of unskippable cutscenes, many of which are of shit quality and last way too long, The Pokedex of gen 7 is weird, I love Araquanid and Golissopod and I even like other mons like Minior, Lycanroc (midday), Togedemaru and a few others, But the starters of this gen alongside many of the other regional Pokemon are crap, Incineroar is a mistake, Primarina is way too feminine (yes I get it's a mermaid but it's 87.5% chances of being male and it comes off from Poplio, A cute little clown seal that had no signs it would turn into this), Only Decidueye looks cool. Idk man, I don't hate gen 7 as much as I hate gen 8 but it's still not good, I'm not going to pretend that it's a good generation because it really fricking isn't, I would even go so far as to say gen 5 is better than 7 in many ways minus Pokedex wise and I'm one of those people who really doesn't like gen 5 all that much.
>but it's 87.5% chances
This is just a trait shared by all starters and their evos from Bulbasaur to Quaquaval. Not sure why people are so hung up on this one detail.
Citra is a fickle beast and it kept crashing on me when I tried using speed up regularly.

Because they could at least have the decency to apply sexual dimorphism and make a male variant of Primarina, They didn't give a shit, All Primarina either male or female look like a feminine mermaid, It's the same shite that bothers me to no end with Gardevoir as well, Maybe for you zoomers it isn't an issue but I digress.

lmao

Gen 7 had a thriving wifi scene, I still play matches on it to this day. What’re you talking about?
The consequences of casualization
I’ve missed gen 7 since gen 8. Sure, the ultra editions were unnecessary second releases but everything was fine otherwise.
>all the pokemon
>megas
>z moves
>good story
>3d graphics
>cute immersion
Gen 7 was the last truly good Pokemon generation to date.

Imagine playing on an emulator and not just fast forwarding through the cutscenes.

Skill issue
Pokemon and animals don't follow the same gender norms as humans. Male birds look more colorful and flamboyant than female birds for example.
They would never make a gender variant of a starter because that would create confusion in advertising and merchandise.
Not really. I greatly cherish the time I spent in Alola but I know I would get incredibly annoyed if I ever tried to replay it, so I won't.
Miss? I'm still there
Comfy region. In my top 3 next to Johto and Unova
Damn, exactly the same here.
There's a lot of potential there for sure. Would love to see it fleshed out but from now on we'll probably only get vast empty fields in the games
The best part of S/M was exploiting the mega mart place to get free premier balls. I still have like 500 of them in my bag
The last real generation
I miss team skull like you wouldn't believe.
absolutely. sun and moon are undoubtedly the best 3d era games
I missed the hype season, everything felt so much more hopeful. But these games killed my soul. Now I can never be excited again.
>But these games killed my soul. Now I can never be excited again.
nah, aging did this
Keep telling yourself that, bro.
