>Genshin still having high revenue thanks to coomers
>Diablofans paying hundreds of dollars despite their aggressive mtx because they want some stupid gems
>fgo still alive even when it looks like a fricking flash game from late 2000s

There's ten characters that are actually based on Bomberman, twelve if you count Silva as a B-Daman rep and Honey. The other eleven are Konami guests, OCs and characters based on Konami properties.

Genshin isn't popular because of coomers and it's a legitimately great game. The industry is fine if only because Genshin exists right now.
Just like EA triggered the era of lootboxes and DLCs, Genshit Impact will trigger a new era of gacha and predatory practices. The gaming industry is over. Gacha, stamina system, p2w, are all that's left for the future of gaming.
We've long been in that generation because of EA. Genshin isn't cancerous though because it's a fantastic game with a huge budget, one of the largest in gaming period and it has way more content drops than anything else I can think of. Good content drops anyway.
If another studio takes up this model of making a high budget game and constantly updating it I'll be happy. But they won't because they're just going to keep shoveling out shit instead.
And keep in mind Genshin is free of all things. It's seriously mindblowing how blessed we are.
>predatory
frick off leftie
>Legitimately great game
Yellow hands typed this post
>it's a legitimately great game.
Genshin is one of the least coomer games
it's literally sanitized garbage with next to no pandering or sexualization, shit is practically Disney
Cope
If you want the industry to compete maybe they should take some cues from successful mobile games then?
Namely attractive characters, pandering and long term content updates
Get Japan to Ban Gachas and Loot boxes in games so we can get another video game crash.
Notice JP market doesn't have Genshin on their list. They have a standard. Simply superior to US or China
>They have a standard.
Yes, and that standard is called Uma Musume.
it's not sexualized enough for them and too many males
Genshin is still in the top 10 of most used apps in nipland to the point genshin fricked fgo in the ass in new years holiday revenue after fgo's been the top 1 for years
US is global you fricking troglodyte
Diablo proves that gacha has just been third worlder bug money up until this point. Once a real first world country dipped into gacha, it immediately surpassed everything before it by 5 times.
What, you are proud of Diablo Immortal being first world made game?
How much of Diablo Immortal was NetEase though? It definitely feels like "polished NetEase" in every way.
>installed
Love my SMC.
I feel netease made 99% of Diablo Immortal, the monetisation in this game is just insanely greedy.
>Why game not here?
>Because I'm not interested in it
>Data from noname company

>sensor tower
>no name company

>Googled it
>Literally no name company

>Comparing no name company that does nothing related to finances to the actual financial audits
something has been bugging me for a while
these mobile games always have collabs with other IPs while the only collab genshin had was Alloy from HZD and that shit was because of sony pushing their shitty mascot in everything.
Why the frick genshin doesnt have more collabs compared to his previous game honkai 3?
I hate gacha for ruining fate
fgo was a huge mistake
Yeah extella was so good right
extrashit and fgo are both cancer
fate was never good
What's the deal with Uma musume? Do people really want to frick horses?

>Guardian tales is mid

>honkai impact makes more money in america than japan

is there any new and interessing gacha that released early this year or something that still going to be released? i wanted to jump into some new gacha

let me rephrase my last post:
is there any new and interesting gacha without chink spyware that released early this year or something that still going to be released? i wanted to jump into some new gacha
name one gacha that doesnt have chink spyware embedded?
the gachas that aren't chink made? fgo, guardian tales, uma musume

>Genshin clone
Smug zelda face.jpg
None of those. You aren't even posting the one game that might actually kill it if it comes out in China.
You mean Diablo Immortal?
No.
which one?
Wuthering waves is there so could you enlighten me?
Some open world game based on this, which is apparently the most popular game in China and has been for years. I don't have a link to the trailer right now, though.
I hope Japan tries to seriously clone it since all those games aren't even trying. Wuthering whatever is the only actual clone too, the others are barely games by the looks of it, or just MMOs.
>Honor of Kings: World
So Tencent will finally go for Mihoyo's ass
I hope it's another giga budget game supported by gacha, it's literally the Kickstarter idea but not a fricking scam and free to play.
Heres some from this year, depends on what you want really.

Genshin is a global game. they work on a global scale to push out updates at the same time for all regions. It's deserved
don't forget patreon/early access. that's fricking up the industry in wild ways too. gachatards at least pay for a jpg or whatever while patreon/early accessgays pay to fund fatasses doing frickall that are incentivized to do frickall.
Soo uhh...
And is isn't something I'd usually go for.
Anybody playin #Me?
that looks like one of those weirdass social games where you make a character and chatter with other morons there. usually safe to assume those are full of pedos and predators. wouldn't touch that shit even if they paid me.
It's groomer central no doubt about it. It separates servers by states and encourages intetaction all the time.

>Genshin still having high revenue thanks to coomers
You will never understand or accept this face but Genshin is popular because it ISN'T super-coomy. Its girls are almost all tastefully dressed, and the people who want to see them naked need to have strong imaginations.
Genshin is a fun video game. It has a gacha pay model.
It's only popular due to being higher production value
If FGO had FGO arcade's models and combat it wouldn't even be close
Genshin literally just shills out to women and LGBT shippergays
>It's only popular due to being higher production value
High production value is one of its many positive traits, sure. Genshin is a great game.
shut the frick up genshill
No. I like playing video games and so I like playing Genshin Impact. I will sing the praises of good games when I find them.
enjoy your pozzed Chinese game where everyone has the same bodies and is also either gay or a dyke
I am not playing the video game for body shapes so I don't care.
I am not playing the video game for imaginary sex that none of the characters ever have or speak of (because the game is child-friendly) so I don't care.
I am playing the video game for fun exploration and an endless slow stat grind.
You do realize that even in games like azur lane, they still pander to yuri right? Yuri practically goes hand in hand with anime because that's what otaku like.
yeah but it's secondary to the self insert in those games
Genshin has girls that behave like girls are supposed, something hard to find these days especially in the zogged west. That's what people actually want, but degens can only think in sexual terms.
When we take back our country we need to open schools for women that teach them how to behave like anime girls.
>When we take back our country we need to open schools for women that teach them how to behave like anime girls.
This, if you run for presedency I will vote for you
Westerners still haven't figured out that gacha is a gigantic money laundering operation. 99% of the whales aren't real people.
i used to think this until i met an actual whale IRL. they're real people who have lots of money, no fricking free time anymore because they work so much to get said money, and can't process that they might just be bad when they run into a wall they can't overcome via autopilot.
>Genshin still having high revenue thanks to coomers
There are plenty of gacha games with hot girls and actual fanservice/porn unlike genshin, yet the don't do nearly as well. Jus admit it's a good game
You will always be mad.
>haven’t played since 2018
>want to play again but forgot login info
>turns out it ended but they’re releasing a KR2
>that’s if the company doesn’t collapse beforehand
Man this sucks, I just wanted to not have to start over since I invest a good amount into my favorite characters at the time. At least the character designs were pretty good.
Great example of good character stuck in shit game. Plus those armpit slots were great.
KR2 shares the same client. It's basically a new season.
Vespa also made Time Defenders in the meantime. Uh, it's kind of shit, but I dont hate it as much as some. Arknights ish.
Good to know but doesn’t interest me. Don’t care for strategy/tactical gachas unfortunately.
>diablo immortal #2
hahaha blizz is actually fricking dead lmao
Kotick's new yatch is not pay itself, m8
>Time-gated events so filthy f2ps don't get more primos and new players have less content to consume and weed out the casual players that wont spend money and are just there to consume content for free (some of them even contain story scenes that new players will have to see on youtube)
>new players are forced to spend money on rerolled accounts or waste weeks rerolling until they a worthwhile starting account since they removed a lot of early rolls after launch
>Reruns of some characters taking almost a year to come by in order to incentivize FOMO
>With the low spending options (Welkin and Battle Pass) you can only get close to reaching soft pity every patch, you absolutely have to spend more money in order to secure a character/constellation every patch or be forced to save during some of the patches
>Since the game is heavily rooted with gachashit on its design, the devs cannot make any sort of challenging content since the whales can barely beat easy content with busted ass teams and the f2p new players that are behind will take years to get to the point they can challenge it.
Thats the chinese gacha special baby. Frick new players after they get success, they only want whales that don't get tired of repetitive content or casual players that join the cult and never noticed how far they are getting bent over.
I started in 2.2 and so far I enjoyed the content so far.
>Muh genshin coomers
You can say this until you're blue in the face and the reason GI will continue to rake in money is that it's excellent. It's also the least "abusive" gacha to ever exist while simultaneously being the only one that's fricking an actual game.
>it's excellent
No it isn't
yes it is
No, it's not. Your webm didn't really change anything.
wrong again buddy
>it's excellent.
call me when they implement the PGR combat system
Call me when PGR survives the year 2023
PGRs combat system wouldn't even work well with Genshin. Not sure why you can't enjoy both for what they are in the first place.
It's more than popular enough in CN
The level of mental illness simply pouring off one particular samegay in this thread is hilarious. Genshin Impact is a soulless, boring Zelda clone made specifically to separate waifugays and fujoshits from their money. It is not a good game. It never will be- No matter how many e-girl characters they shit out a month. Cope harder.
Every time someone says it's a Zelda clone it's the best indication that they have no clue anout the game
Proudly miss out on it, nobody cares. You will do this many times in life and only you will hurt for it
Your low bred posting style is so distinct I actually recognize exactly who you are because you follow up any mention of genshin on this board for months with "it's not good, because" what a nuanced position
Echoes of mana player here,
How much did our shit game make? Last I heard it failed to make 20k in a week. Im well aware the game is probably EOSing in about half a year but curious how bad it bombed.
I hate all gacha games but at least genshin tries to deliver a good open world rpg, which falls flat with the fact that gameplay is totally repetitive unless you have a shit ton of decently built characters and that the game is basically not finished.
my most anticipated thing in gaming is private servers in 5 years with all of tyvat chapter acts and fully accessible events and banners (with free rolls of course.)
Maybe even some modded in hardcore content.
>Maybe even some modded in hardcore content.
You mean porn, or difficulty
yes
>my most anticipated thing in gaming is private servers in 5 years with all of tyvat chapter acts and fully accessible events and banners
Won't ever happen, simply not possible. It might be possible to play through the main story, but you will never get the service parts
What makes you think that?
Understanding of software and computers in general. You are very naive if you think you can just resurrect old events like they're a button to be turned on. It won't be possible.
Genshins service nature is why it is appealing. As an old gamer I love seeing a game develop over time like this. There are always fun little events and then big ones too like the one coming tomorrow. It's something where you have to recognize the qualities given to you that come with the things you don't like, and realize the things you don't like in fact generate the quality financially.
As of patch 3.0 in August the game will be by far the richest, largest open world out there.
>non-answer followed by ad hominem
lol ok
It's not a non answer, you are eminently clueless if you think what you've said will be possible. It won't. End of story.
Not him but I really don't like to be beholden to a game so I don't miss anything.
I understand and I will venture the suggestion that you will understand more when you're older. I have never cared about/been excited about a games plot or future like this and I am 40 and have been an enthusiast in video games since 6 or so
The game has soul. People will scoff at this idea, but I've been around, so I actually know soul. And it's there.
as a player returning after finishing all quests during launch I feel really frustrated coming into the game and getting engaged to the story knowing that I missed story events that wont be around never again, I quit for couple of years because I wanted to let the story and new quest to be developed and added, and knowing that the game was grabbing people by the balls to not leave like I did feels fricking bad.
Yeah I could just watch it on youtube, but its not the same.
I'm going to be finishing the archon quests for inazuma and probably quit forever because of it, looking how youtube has like 20 hours of cut content from story events, by the time the game ends the first chapter you will have almost 100 hours of cut content just for the sake of making people return and stay.
I feel your pain anon, but it's part of a gacha game's design to keep people regularly playing. Having time limited events incentivizes players to stay playing.
I'm sure if the game lasts longer then one day it should get older stories and events added as permanent content though like most gacha games do.
I totally understand the frustration. I think it's fricked up that new players can't play unreconciled stars, dragonspine events etc.
On the other hand, this approach has funded the game to be what it is. Unlike a lot of other companies the money is doing work. The chasm area just released is by far the best and most detailed, interesting and generally fun area of the game.
There are only 3-4 major events a year really
>The chasm area just released is by far the best and most detailed, interesting and generally fun area of the game.
yeah, chasm is great compared to enkanomiya honestly.
I think enka was moved around so much that it lost its original relevance and parts of the plot were moved to sumeru. Didn't hugely enjoy it and I think the reason is enka was worked on very early so it's missing the lessons they learned after release. The day night mechanic was far more irritating to me than anything else in the game really. And some obtuse puzzles in that area. It's the one part of the game I don't go back to much. I run around liyue and shit all the time
The day night mechanic was neat to me, I just wished it didn’t fricking play a cutscene for each trigger of the mechanic.
Yeah that's what I meant the mechanic wasn't loathsome itself but shit like watching a cutscene repeatedly makes me wanna rip my skin off
It's honestly weird that it paused the game like that. It's less demanding on hardware than the normal TOD mechanic which can update in real-time if you do it online. It's also similar to how the Inazuma Teapot works with just a night/day and nothing else.
It'll be depressing when it shuts down. I just hope they make a standalone release afterward, they could easily sell that shit for tons of money.
dont feel like it would be too much of a hassle to just remove the gacha and let you use characters whe you meet them in the story, make constellations crafteable, and make the game offline, throw it on steam or epic, and make millions off an eos state game.
Buy Bloons TD 6 and enjoy the best mobile game ever made.
Also has crossplatform save sync so you can buy on Steam and play on PC too.
do zoomers really
What does BTD have to do with zoomers
Nobody except zoomers plays that stuff or games on phone in general.
Though I'm talking about genshin in the thread I obviously play on PC since the experience of tapping on a screen to play a game is about as fun as snapping your dick in a mouse trap
And I just told you that you can play on both platforms. It still plays great on touch screen.
You can't play a video game on a touch screen. There's nothing there. It's a zoomer concept.
Video games rely on material controls to make you feel connected. I will never have any different opinion on this. Tapping on a screen is monkey stuff.
Scottish/Welsh heritage, white as they literally come.
That's moronic and since you won't ever change your opinion, your post was also extremely useless. Enjoy being an obnoxious homosexual.
You're such a moron. That game is multiplatform just like Genshin is.
It's a zoomer game.
Tower defense fotm meme game popularized more so by sseth.
I think the Diablo Immortal hatred is way overblown, and is more a case of franchise recognition than anything. Any game with buyable power, however small, has an essentially unlimited spend.
Whales in Black Desert buy in game costumes to sell for in game money with real money. There is no upper limit, and sensationalist headlines about how much to "max out" a character are moronic.
It will fall off geometrically. Genshin maintains because it's not predatory. It makes you want things, thats why people spend. The strongest units in the game are all launch units that have been given away free.
>it's not predatory
>it makes you want things
U aight?
I never liked open world games, does it have anything to offer me? I only played Honkai.
>Making a product enticing is predatory
?....predatory is not being able to clear content without paying etc
You can clear genshin including the challenge abyss mode 100% free easily. You will want other characters because they are cool and the more variations of parties you can do, the more fun.
It has a lot to offer in terms of open world because the world is very nuanced and detailed. You find little things everywhere and will miss stuff and find it a year later. Best in class Jap VA and music are standouts to me. I truly believe the composer will eclipse names like Nobuo Uematsu and I heard him as an adolescent so his music was extremely important to me.
It's also fricking beautiful and has great weather effects and stuff like that which it rarely gets any credit for. I can't remember another game where sunrises and sunsets can look so different based on whatever atmospheric conditions the game decides.
If you start playing now tomorrow is the last patch of 2.x where you can get a free very useful character, free skin for her, and lots of free primos and upgrade items etc.
Concurrently the banner for Kazuha, one of the most fun and powerful characters finally comes back tomorrow.
It is a full and beautiful game with a good story for $0. I say to people that to have a good experience you do need to spend $5 a month. If you get into the game you will automatically probably end up spending $15 a month instead total for the battle pass and daily gems. I spend that much in energy drinks in 2 or 3 days.
>zoomer drinks energy drinks
>has brain rot
sad. many such cases.
Speaking of weather effects, I wish we could manually change it. I’d keep that b***h rainy 24/7. Or an overcast weather effect would be max comfy.
>?....predatory is not being able to clear content without paying etc
That's not what predatory implies. MTX are predatory period, it doesn't matter what the product is.
I don’t think you know what the word predatory means
Stop pretending to be smart you idiot.
Yeah but like I hate looking for shit basically.
>Find this thing in our beautifully crafted 100kmx100km open world.
No.
>I spend that much in energy drinks in 2 or 3 days.
Can't do that these days with my blood pressure. Love this shit though.
Looking for shit as you have described is never an element of this game...unless you mean like upgrade materials which you can easily look at s map or have characters detect them even
The world is richer and more carefully designed than other open worlds you have played
The game is decent but you are definitely overblowing how good it is.
Don't agree. Very few games do anything for me at this age. It is historically successful because it is good.
You might as well just say that popular = good.
Popular often does equal good. I learned this lesson in middle school and adulthood after I rejected pink Floyd because seemingly everyone loved them. I thought that something so beloved by so many normies couldn't possibly be good. Who woulda thunk.
Almost the only time popular =/= good in vidya is sports, and that's because sportsgays are braindead
Very very few cases outside of that where popular doesn't equal good
Maybe I'll check it out but I just can't picture enjoying an open world game.
It's an action adventure jrpg. Calling it open world is a disservice.
Did you know you have a little magical realm where you can design your own area for you and people you invite, using basically every prop in the game? And they keep adding stuff like musical features, a time trial course feature, soon jump pads, etc. There are TONS of different things to do and the combat is satisfying to plenty of people who can go in without expecting every game to be DMC
If you play it just realize that content is linearly getting better over time so the first area is the weakest. However the new country drops in 6 weeks and it's like the size of the entire game over again. With totally new everything and continuing the main story which will take you a long time to get this far to start with.
Let me put it more succintly.
This game blows dick lmao.
Got it with my Switch and sold it instantly.
I cannot imagine a Chinese version being good, when I don't even like the real one.
>content is linearly getting better over time
I thought content went away after a time?
But I'll try it.
Genshin isn't like botw at all
What?
They share basically no similarities beyond being able to climb and glide which will be features of every open world type game from now on
Copying good things isn't bad, but genshin is its own thing
Are you fricking with me? Genshin Impact isn't a BOTW clone?
The games movement and early exploration is heavily inspired by BoTW. Not so much in the later regions.
It's like BOTW if it was a real game.
Not remotely
So like what was it all a coordinated shitpost campaign across every social media site (including here) and game journo to say that when it isn't true?
>Game journos
>People who hate everything they think doesn't cater exactly to them or anything for being Chinese
Uhh, form your own opinions on things man. Life lesson. Genshin impact goes through about 12 750 post generals a day on vg btw. Huge enthusiasm for this game on this site in general, and you're only seeing the sad haters
Genshin has very vocal fans and anti-fans due to being popular. The only honest opinion you'll get is your own after playing it. Don't listen to others since they're exaggerating on all accounts.
Genshin is basically the War In Ukraine.
does this look like botw to you
Dunno, kinda hard to tell from the handful of pixels you got there.
it looks worse
>not just teleporting away
All games as service games have content that is limited time only. The major quests that were events will likely reappear one day as they're important to the storyline.
daily reminder BotW would be a 10/10 if they get rid of the fricking durability system
Botw is ugly as frick and the world has nothing in it
too bad the teapot, just like everything else in this game, is dragged down by mobile users existing
It's not. I can't understand the load limit as the world has a much higher load on mobile. I think they will improve it eventually. One part is maybe making it be simpler on purpose because they apparently have to constantly randomly check teapot for anti CCP messages. Real shit.
Stick with Honkai. Genshin's appeal falls off after the first two regions. It's obvious that the development had a massive quality drop after Star Rail and ZZZ began production.
I'm excited for these two, people say Star Rail is the Epic Seven killer, we'll see.
If Star Rail doesn't have PVP it won't overlap with Epic Seven.
Whales would never support another MHY game if that happened.
so whales are ok with getting bent over and fricked by gacha devs but remaking a game as service as a full product is the straw that broke the camels back?
whales wont give a frick if they do it to a game on eos status after a few years, they would be too occupied metagayging on GI2 with their C6 restored archon venti.
In the event that this game ever hit EoS, the whales that stuck it out throughout would definitely not want everyone getting the same benefits they've had. Its far more likely for people to retain their accounts progress but with no more gacha if the game is taken offline, or a revised pricing structure if content stops.
>Whales would never support another MHY game if that happened.
Whales obviously want the same thing you fricking mongoloid. No one wants an EOS.
>it's not predatory, it's just predatory
>I think the Diablo Immortal hatred is way overblown
Nah, even by p2w gacha standard diablo is ridiculous it's like they're from 2010s chink p2wshit.
Some are really good though like guardian tales. Honestly I probably would have bought it as a standalone game from how much fun I have with the boss fights and story.
gamer mope and complain about the state of the industry then spend $2000 on diablo immortal and genshin impact
Bros…
Give me one reason not to.
why not just fap to the doujins and using those 20 bucks to buy yourself a cool game on steam? I just got laberinth of refrain and Im having a blast.
Cross-eyed reminder
Gatcha games are money laundering schemes.
GBF is still the best gacha ever made. At least it had fun and endgaging endgame that you could play just for the sake of playing. My best teams were usually homos and waifus were secondary to non-relevant.
Isn't the "game" just sideways Chibis in a line?
the core game was mostly weapon grid building/having right summons and having the right characters, it was absolutely whale dominated though, and even if you had strong as frick f2p grids you'd still never MVP vs. nip whales with nip ping
>Fun and engaging gameplay
>Mobile tier 4 homies in a line game
Do you actually play video games? Real ones?
truly the best gacha ever made, fun and engaging endgame
>Punchcard simulator
>Best game, engaging endgame gameplay
LOL
LMAO
you can do that or you can just join a guild that gets in A-tier then throws their matches and get the sunstone with 10min of daily contribution
I feel like it's a moral obligation at this point to make more gachas and accelerate the decline
I'll never play botw because it was made by ninten*o
I might play genshin because it has coomer anime waifus.
Simple as.
Top 50 ain't bad for Girls Frontline

Bros Im scared

what went wrong?
A fake can never surpass the original.
me on the left
I just want to take cute girls to the top.
stupid sexy huehue
Im baffled how mihoyo doesnt even have to reinvest that much of the profit to keep making genshin content since they invest that money in other projects.
makes me wonder how much profit non game gachas make seeing how their dev cost must be pennies.
200m per year is a massive investment
which is it
They're both right, the "big patch" anon is just confusing it. We're on 2.x right now with 3.x upcoming. Each version according to the devs is costing them 200m.
Baffled because what you just said does not make logical sense
they spend around 200m per big patch.
Add the fact they have to give profit to their investors and other shit they have to pay.
They don't have investors that they have to give profit to. Mihoyo is self built.
>genshin was trending on twitter yesterday
the frick happened?
Mihoyo dropped a trailer showing all the Harbingers and showed the 3.0 characters.
Genshin and FGO I can understand, weebs can get very obsessive over some characters
but spending money on Immortal where the only things you get is some fricking gems is just moronic
It's got the big name Diablo on it
Why is FGO being alive suprising? It's the best game on the list
all are trash, anon
but to answer your question, the Fate IP still means something to a bunch of whales. that's why it's still alive. Consider nips are nationalistic as frick to the point they will give FGO devs money just to mog the chinks
for me it’s mechs
Granbluebros..
Fricking cringe
Diablo would have surpassed genshin if Pooh didnt soft ban it in main china
Maybe mihoyo paid that intern to post that bear Twitter post
I think it's corp sabotage job
I hope they paid him a lot of money because doing that shit can give you a hell of a problem with the CCP and everyone would prefer to avoid having trouble with them
It was sent from US I think? So maybe just random guy oversea.
One thing I like the most about azur lane is that
When you buy the monthly daily goodies
You don't even have to log in to get them
They just go straight into your mailbox
Even when you never log in for years
All the apollogem and anniversary give out still go into your mailbox
Other games just force you to punch in daily like it's a fricking job
>tfw haven’t played in two years
I should log in and see what’s new.
>Genshin
>Coomers
The game is afraid to show any skin, what the frick are you on about
Damn, Azure Lane climbed back the ladder. They got hit pretty bad with Chinese censorship and they did not have ultra lewd outfits and no swimsuits because of that.
so glad that ni no kuni game is failing
>punishing grey rsven that low
Bros... not like this...
the servers are so full of bots they are now charging $8 so you can have to privilege of getting in the servers. The game has three fricking banners (skins, weapons/armor and pets/familiars) with shitty rates and dont forget the stupid NFT/crypto shit in the game
>Dragalia Lost still in the chart
>not even at last place
for what purpose
